Just put in Star Wars-A New Hope. We are arguing whether it is #1 or #4. My son says it is the first good one. (It was the first released but fourth in chronological order for those who did not have boys who loved Star Wars forever)...Five boys 17 year age span from first to last. I watched a lot of Star Wars. I do like this one a lot though.
-
Oh and I want to know how you serve poo fruit. Intriguing name.
-
Rosemary, it depends. (There's a nice non-answer.) Chronologically by story line, it's #4. Chronologically by production, it's #1. My favorite episode is the one where Luke confronts his father and gets his hand cut off. Awesome!
Poo fruit exists only in my imagination. But if I had some, I'd serve it with a lot of migglewort and whipped cream.
-
E
We know the chronology. They just like to argue. We are all reciting lines as they come up. star Wars was and I guess still is such a part of our lives.
Poo fruit with whipped cream. Mmm...mmm...good.
May the Force be with you.
-
As soon as I posted that, I thought "they know the chronology," then was just too lazy to edit the post. I was in high school when #4 came out, and my daughter was in the same high school when #1 came out. Odd to have a movie dynasty thread run through your lives, isn't it?
My favorite line is "laugh it up, fuzzball." That's what I say to my BF.
-
I'm off to watch Star Trek (2009 movie) with my daughter. Have a good night, everyone!
-
"Help me Obiwan Kenobi you are my only hope". I said that all the time when the kids were driving me crazy.
-
Well summertyme
My other favorite line with the kids."Beam me up Scottie, there's no intelligent life here."
-
Blue
Yep it is useful in oh so many situations...with so many people.
-
Lindasa - it's actually an hour's drive to the beaches from here - Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast. I grew up on the Gold Coast and now hate it. We are going to a beach on the Sunshine Coast after Xmas. It's called Sunshine Beach - just south of Noosa Heads - google it. I'ts georgeous.
Well, one bag of fudge down
I'm thinking of going shopping, Dh won't be home until 2 or 3 so I can either do that or clean the bathroom. I think I know which one I'll choose.Sue

Shopping won - I got 3 new tops for half price!!! I need clothes for our trip to the UK, so that was very satisfying. Also bought a pair of shoes in a cheap shop - thought they were leather but only the insole is - whatever, they feel comfortable so far.
Been listening to After the Goldrush (Neil Young) in the car. That busker near work inspired me. Trouble is, when I listen to it I cry - too many memories from that time in my life.

I have been down for the count for the past 5 hours and yes....can I have some cheese with my wine?
At the base of my back to the right and just above my butt I have a knot of muscle (?) that is hurting so damm bad. A percocet didn't even touch it. I tried a heating pad but that I believe made it worse. I am wondering if this is a sciatic problem (?). My dh had the same problem for years prior to his back surgery. I haven't done anything to hurt my back - this has come up from nowhere.
Anyways, I am in a lot of pain and am emotionally frustrated because I have a busy week to get ready for my horse show. I don't have any muscle relaxers. Any idea how I should treat this? I will check back in later tonight.
-
Jancie I had back pain so bad the day before my exchange surgery I couldn't even sit or stand..I had to lay flat on my back. Anyhow, a friend of mine is an acupuncturist and she came to my house and did a treatment...it was AMAZING!! When she got there I couldn't even get on the table after 90 mins I was about 80% better, by the next day I was almost 100%. It really was amazing because i literally could not move and was in tremendous pain for two days prior to her treatments.
Hope you feel better soon,
Diane
-
Janice,
I go to a physio who does manipulation like a chiropractor. Blue's exercises are excellent - also apply heat. I have one of those bean filled bags and zap it in the microwave.

-
Janice .. hope you're feeling better today. Know you wanted to be in good condition for the horse show. I have arthritis in my C-spine and frozen shoulder, and there are times a pain pill won't even come close to helping.
Barbara .. know you're off today for some fun in the sun. Hope you have a great time!
Diane .. I'm so happy you got to meet Enjoyful for dinner. I wish I lived further north and I could join you.
Hope everyone has a great day,
hugs,
Bren

Jancie - hope you got rid of the pain. If not, you could try an ice pack - that might work if a heating pad did not because it would act as an anti-inflammatory. That and Summertyme's exercises. I get little injuries and pains that I never saw coming because I do exercise.
-
(Doing better)
Jancie, hope you are, as well.
Happy day-before 4th of July, everyone! Hope No one else is working. -
Here's our new addition! He fit right in...like he's lived here all his life. He's a keeper. Hope everyone is enjoying their July 1st/4th weekend.

-
Sorry, tried to post a pic, but it was huge. I'll try again later.
-
Here's our new addition! He fit right in...like's he's been living here his whole life. He's a keeper. Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend!

Gracie
Is that a Bearded Collie???? My favorite, favorite breed. If not a pure breed, sure he has some beardie in there;) Enjoy your new friend.
-
Gracie - I generally prefer big dogs but this one is gorgeous!
-
Caerus, I love bearded collie's too! But he's not one...he's a Coton du Tulear with a recessive gene. He's only ten pounds. We have another one who's white like she's supposed to be, but he's a wierdo. Hillck, although he's perfect in almost every way, he's got a penchant for jumping on the furniture without permission. Any ideas how to break the habit since he's pre-owned? He's not listening!.....just looks at me with that tilted head, smiling.
-
Thanks Athena, I usually prefer big dogs as well, but somehow this breed doesn't have the yippy factor that drives me nuts in little dogs. That's why I'm in love with this breed...big dog personality, tiny body.
-
Gracie, He is to cute. I'm so glad he has found a forever home.
-
oh, gracie, he's SO cute - of to google the breed. Love the idea of small dog with Big Dog personality. Can't handle a big dog anymore.
-
Saw my first Cotons last year at my vet's office - 4 puppies in a basket on wheels. Adorable. The woman is a breeder and charges big bucks but took my name because she's also involved in rescue. Haven't heard from her though.
I found my bunting! We moved last week and I couldn't find it anywhere. Had just decorated with it in June for our Great American Brass Band Festival. It was in a box in the basement. Just put it out - several days later than planned. House looks like my home now! Now, if I can find everything else I've lost I'll be a happy camper!
-
Is there anything cuter than a basket of puppies? On wheels yet! Hope you find your missing stuff...moving sucks.
