Thank you Bren! Ruff & Tumble. :-)

Good Luck Kira...
I wish I could figure out how to do hyperlinks ;( This is what Wiki has to say about milk snakes, my little one is brown & white. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milk_Snake I really likelittle snakes, not so sure I'd approach a large one.
Once, years ago, on vacation in Maine - I was living in London at the time, I offered to share some of my tuna fish sandwich with a turtle, a rather BIG turtle, on the rocky shore near me. My good fortune snapping turtles don't seem to like tuna. I stay away from them now that I know what they look like.
-
Snapping turtles look fairly offensive, right? Lots of spikes and pointy things on their shells?
-
Thank you, summertyme. Hugs back!
-
E, the guinea pigs are actually pretty cute for rodents.
I know you all miss your pets. I know I miss my Frankie. They are all romping together on the rainbow bridge.
-
Enjoyful
yup - really POINTY tails - dinosaur like. There are a lot of them around where I live now - many wetlands here, and they're the ONLY turtles I don't stop my car for - the others crossing the road,I stop my car, flashers on and I help take to the side of the road in the direction they're heading. Nice thing about living here, people DO stop for animals, especially wild turkey - they are SO cute with their little ones following in a line across a road. I also don't stop for bear - they get to cross by themselves.
-
My gang, Shorty, Lulu and Marshall. Kids say we need 1 more since we have 4 kids. Logical, huh?
-
Ok just go back. The mammogram looks good, so this is the weird part the people here decided to make an executive decision and not do the ultrasound the BS asked for?
Has anyone ever heard of this type of thing happening?
-
I had the script from him that I gave to them, so yes I know he ordered it. I just thought it was really odd.
-
'I'm wondering if I should call my BS to let him know the mammogram place decided they felt I didn't need the ultrasound.
-
The techs/radiologists should not be making executive decisions overriding your doctor's orders. Many oncs or surgeons want an ultrasound and/or MRI in addition to the mammo, as mammos are not a perfect diagnostic tool, especially in the case of dense breasts.
I would definitely check with your doctor.
-
Another vote to call him. They should not have done that ... unless they called and talked to your doctor first.
Ang7 ... snow dogs! If I guessed which one was Shorty would I be right?
Tigerlily definitely knows how to strike a pose. I'm loving all the pet pictures.
-
Kira, I've had that happen -- not getting the imaging my BS ordered -- and it's wrong! Not normal! Always infuriates my BS and then I have to go back and get the ultrasound. By "not normal" I guess I mean it's not correct -- but in my experience it's not of unheard of for imaging centers to try to make those "executive decisions." Where I go, sometimes I think they do it because they didn't pay attention when the appointment was made, and only booked me for a mammo, don't have an ultrasound time slot or maybe even an ultrasound tech available, and are trying to b.s. me (the other meaning of BS!) and my breast surgeon.
Grrr! Definitely call your BS and tell him!
-
Ang, Britchick .. Love the fur babies!
Kira .. that is very strange that the techs took it upon themselves not to do the U/S.

tukey buzzards in the tree in my back yard...I still can't get a cat picture
-
And can you tell I can't post pictures either. AND I had to use explorer firefox wouldn't let me transfer pictures.
-
Rosemary .. how come you had so many turkey buzzards? We have three that fly around here regularly. I'm surprised at how big they are!
Bren
-
There were about 50 in that tree and around the yard. I have no idea why they were there. But we ran to check and see if our 20 yr old Lucy cat was alive. She was and lived another 6 months.
-
Funny, Shorty is the Border Collie on the left! Apparently he was very short as a puppy but we got him when he was older. The lady who had him worked 12 hour days and he was living in a townhouse...
-
summertyme -- I almost did nothing today!
-
Hi Girls - just checking in to see how you are. I actually did work yesterday, so didn't have time to post. I made it through my first full week at work!!! A BIG milestone for me since I've not worked full time since October 09. I made a point of listening to my busker during lunch yesterday again - lovely. It was spitting rain a bit so this guy told him to sing a song about sunshine and lo and behold, the sun came out.
Now the work begins - washing, changing sheets, grocery shopping and then I'll rest.
Love all your pet pics
(((((HUGS))))
-
Ang .. your Shorty looks just like my Maggie!
Summertyme .. love the picture!
SusieQ .. sounds like a very big week for you. Congrats on getting through it!

Love seeing the pictures of the pets. I am totally electronically challenged posting pictures. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats and 1 horse that I would love to share pictures with ya'll. The other problem is that most of the pictures are on my old hardrive and that is a pain to get to. I will see if DH can set it up for me so I can access it easier.
I won't be around much for the next 2 days and then when I get home I am glued to the Casey Anthony Trial. My DVR is set to run 7 hours daily so I don't miss a single thing. Closing arguments were scheduled for tomorrow (that was per yesterday) but today there was a delay in the prosecutions rebuttal so I don't know if they got done or not - I am still watching the show.
Judge Perry got frustrated with the delay by the defense and told everyone that they would work tomorrow, sunday, monday, tuesday, whatever it took because these jurors want to go home and this trial has already lasted 1 month.
Next Saturday I have a horse show - this will be the first one I have ridden in for over 7 years so I am already a nervous wreck. This will only be the third horse show for the one I have now so hopefully she has gotten the routine down and won't be so psycho this time around. She kept thinking that she was going to get abandoned. She has major abandonment issues since she was orphaned at 2 months of age.

"Judge Perry got frustrated with the delay by the defense and told everyone that they would work tomorrow, sunday, monday, tuesday, whatever it took because these jurors want to go home and this trial has already lasted 1 month."
I totally understand the judge's frustration, but also think Casey's lawyers will use the actions of Judge Perry to try to get a mistrial or a new trial if convicted, as he's more than once scolded the defense attorney in front of the jury, so it could be construed as influencing the jury.
And if that doesn't work, they'll try pleading inadequate counsel or something. She might have grounds for that. -
Shopping done, washing done (lots of it), sheets changed - now I'm pooped!!! I can rest until time to cook the roast chicken.
-
Riley - I have no doubt that if there is a guilty verdict (I don't know how in the hell anybody could find her innocent) - that there will be an automatic appeal. Baez did a horrible job defending her - I don't think he will get hired ever again for a murder trial. He did this all pro-bono to boost his career and instead has totally shot himself in the foot because he was ineffective, inadequate, and never proved his opening statements at all. His own witnesses ended up being better witnesses for the prosecution because Baez was not prepared for the answers his own witnesses were going to give and the last day the defense rested? WTF? Talk about how the pets were buried? Geez....let everyone know that Casey knew how to wrap a body in a blanket, trash bags and use duct tape because that is how her pets were buried.
They asked for a mistrial today at the close which of course was not granted.
In any case the prosecution did (IMHO) prove premeditation murder today - no doubt in my mind. Cindy Anthony lied about the computer searches and the prosecution proved it today.

Ooh, I haven't read up on Friday's session yet. *going to do so now*
