NM, we are in the low 60's and it feels grand for a few days  - going back up on Wed.  Sun is peeking out and a slight breeze too. Airing the house out with the windows all open.

It's hot and humid in WNY, but we have had days of rain in between to freshen the air.  Karen

We have had showers on and off all day today with the temps in the upper 70's. Temp is better than was was predicted (90's).  Anybody wanting to do a 'Father's Day cookout' in this area today got washed out.

Southern Arizona could use a good monsoon rain right now.  We just returned after dealing with one evacuation and high alerts.  The kids are out on a hard evacuation and awaiting news of how their home faired over the night without the air support on the fire.

My little "Patch" resting in theheirloom cradle I built in 1983 for my babies.  It is in the vacant house during this fire evacuation but the precious cargo is safe at a friend's home.

Meece, praying rain will come your way and tamp down those forestfires.  Glad you are all safe and sound.  Cannot imagine the stress you are going through, your granddaughter is just beautiful and the crib you made is gorgeous.  Stay safe, Karen

Our nice temperate temperatures (that were with us for maybe 10 days after all the rain) have boosted into the 90s yesterday & supposed to be near 100 today. I HATE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is really too hot for me too, especially if it is humid too,  Today it is 80 here and that is plenty warm enough for me.  Stay hydrated if you have to be out.  Karen

The kids are back in their home.  Patch went to his first dr. appt. and only lost 7 oz.  Now he will start puttin' it on.  He is 21.5 inches and 8 lb 6 oz right now.

Yesterday it was 106.  We are heading to Vegas this afternoon for a wedding tomorrow.  I have to be back at work Friday morning so we will be driving through the night to get home.  Pretty good planning to hit the desert driving at night.

It is currently 92 degrees.  Home with a migaine today.  It rained at work yesterday afternoon and I walked to my car after it was done over mostly asphalt.  It was like walking through a sauna.  We did not get one drop of rain here and our state is desperate for rain.  Slight chance today and a better chance tomorrow.  I may need to get in the pool this afternoon.  We did swim some over the weekend and it does seem to cool us down more.  Just gotta get in.

mbticsw, so sorry you have a migraine, used to get them when I was just menopausal, something you don't wish on your worst enemy. Seemed to be triggered by a change in the weather.

It is 88 degrees and it rained hard for 20 minutes today.  Lots of thunder and lightning.  Well, it was a start we needed it so bad.

On Saturday I drove my DIL and GB to Tucson to have photos taken.  It was 111!  As we were driving home, the temp went down to 101.  Then we hit a monsoon and the temp dropped 30 degrees!  Such strange weather!  Of course, then the temp started rising again, but stayed in the 90s.

I went on vacation for 3 weeks and didn't get on here. While I was gone, my son was supposed to water the hosta's I planted the end of May but one of our old water hoses burst and he didn't think about carrying water in the watering can. I have lost most of what I planted, fortunately they were given to me so I didn't lose any money. It has been so hot here, but today we are expecting temps in the upper 80's with chances of showers to keep the temps down.

Meece, you were in or around AZ when that terrible dust storm came through weren't you? We were on vacation in the Outer Banks, NC when we saw it on the news. I have a step-son living in Phoenix and we called to see if he was ok. Did you see any of it? It looked like a monster!
