It's HOT here and high humidy.  94 degrees. Heat index close to 100.

Meece, is it dry there?  Do you need the rain?

It was in the low 80's today, nice breeze, 40% humidity.  Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

Salted Ice tea actually isn't too bad.  I avoid salt and salty food most of the time, and take blood pressure medicattion so I am at risk for heat exhaustion and have been through it before.  When I'm not drinking gatorade ( I don't have my supply of gatorade mix in the house yet) I put about 1/2  teaspoon salt in a big glass of ice tea or fruit juice.  It really doesn't taste bad, and even if it did it's better than the shaking, muscle cramps, nausea and vomiting that a low sodium level produces!  I just did not take into account the humidity the other day and tried to do too much for my first day in the sun and heat.

Had never heard of this tip about salt in a liquid, the effects of heatstroke sound horrible.  Please take it easy in the heat, tomorrow is supposed to be hotter and more humid.  Today it is in the 70's with a beautiful breeze, have fans going in the living room and in the computer room.  Am trying to keep up on my exercising but have had to tone it down, 15 minutes on the bike is all I can manage.  Tomorrow I will have to ride in the early morning or later in the evening.

We are 100 degrees here today.  Extreme humidity (Suffocating).  But by Friday we're suppose to be down to 65 degrees.  Go figure.  That's Wisconsin!  Laughing

I'm here in Phoenix and it is hot, hot, hot.  It is in the 100's daily, but not in the area where it is on fire.  Those poor people.  DH said it rained considerably in Tampa yesterday, which was needed.

Mary in Phoenix, daily in the 100s?  Whoa!!  I've heard it's dry heat there, but at that temp, I imagine that hot is HOT.  no matter if it's dry or humid.  I like your summery avitar.  Taking the little one for a dip. Smile

People were complaining that we were in the 80s yesterday.  I am going to enjoy this lingering spring weather as long as I can.

We had temps in the 90's today and now we are getting a spring/summer pop up thunder storm. Don't really know how much rain because they are small fast moving storms. Weatherman said that we are above average temps for this time of year and I can believe it.

80's adn mostly sunny, with increasing humidity and poor air quality warnings.  I'll still take it!  If I didn't have a massage scheduled I'd take the kayak out for the first paddle of the spring.

Our weather has been so weird.  We're supposed to be close to 100 by this afternoon and then, like faithroad in Wisconsin, we'll be cold and in the 60s by Friday.  Have been without cable and internet at home due to storms on Memorial Weekend (I may have mentioned that already.  We're finally up ant running at home.  Work has been so busy that I haven't been able to get on much but decided that today I'd get on whether I put off some of my work or not!

    Have a great day everyone.

Temps gone up 25 degrees since I got up, and the humidity along with it.  Going to be a day to work inside given that the heat index is going to be in the 90's, and a poor air quality alert is issued.  Want to work in the garden, but not a good idea.  Tomorrow will be better for that.  I may get out the lawn tractor and mow later, maybe.

It's cool and gloomy here today.  We're at 72 degrees.  Looks like we'll be starting another rainy period.  Most of the farmers around our house gave up on planting corn and beans and have opted for wheat.  I haven't seen wheat in these fields since we moved to the sticks 13 years ago. I just heard on the radio that corn and bean prices would be rising this year because the farmers haven't been able to plant due to the weather.

Thunder storms started up early this afternoon, usually they hit about 5 pm, they started up at 3 today. Earlier temps were in the 90's but since the storms came through, the temp has dropped in the 70's.

We broke a record high for June two days ago at 100.  Now today we had a record low for a high!

I had air conditioning on last night.  And turned on the heat this morning!  I think it's around 65 today.

Suzwes - glad your up and running again.  That's along time to be without cable or internet.

Texas sounds brutal hot!!!!   *sympathy for you Sherryc*

We are due to be in the high 80s again today.  We aren't supposed to see the 90's until Tuesday.  It seems muggy here.  I putter in the garden afer work each day, the weather is perfect for it.

Two days ago we were 100.  Today we had a low 42 and a high of 57. We might be back up to 71 by Monday.  I like it when it's a little bit cooler.  :-)

Meece, 75-80 doesn't sound too bad. But since the hotflashes have started, I like it in the 60s and 70s.  Lol!

However, I don't like our looong freezing winters here.

So 80-100 is summer weather for CA?  I was in Los Angeles in April once.  We spent time on Huntington Beach in our swim suits...silly Wisconsin-ite tourists.  We thought it was warm...but we were among very few on the beach.  We would have gone in the ocean, but a life guard told us there was a rip tide and not to go swimming.  I didn't care, It was the first time I had seen the ocean,  It was amazing.  I was 20 yrs old and very impressed.

We usually have 100-115 during the summer here.  It can be cooler, but we have been known to have over 30 days straight of 100+.  Anything over 3 days at 100 or higher is considered a heat wave.

I got a sunburn working in the garden and yard yesterday!  I was beginning to think sunburning was not going to be anything I would have to think about this summer.  Should have thought about sunscreen yesterday.  Not a bad one, fortunately, just enought to know it's there.  Going to be pretty  today, but with some chance of showers/t-storms.

It was in the 100's while I was in Phoenix, but no humidity and everytime I blew my nose, it was bloody.  When I got off the plane Thursday night home, I took a big deep breathe of humid warm air.  Love Florida.  It is supposed to get in the 90's today, but 50% chance of rain.  My 2 older grands have a "bowling" birthday party today.  The ex and his mother will be there.  It will be tense as the children have come to love us and are now calling my son "daddy."  And I get to hold JacobLaughing.

Hi Faithroad, yes, that is my precious Jacob.  My first biologic grandchild.  I have 2 bonus grandchildren who are 6 and 4.  The B-day party was fine and the children had a wonderful time.  It is 93 degrees with no rain in sight.

Mary - what a joy to have grandchildren.  I'm a great Aunt, though I don't get to see little Nathan as much as I'd like.  His parents both work so hard.  He is an adorable three yr old.  And I have seven nieces and nephews.  (No children of my own)

This morning the sun is shining bright.  It's a crisp 45.  I'm getting ready to go to church.  It might hit 70 today.

It's later in the day now,  and it's freezing outside!!!!  Yowser!!  63, gray, cloudy, and cold.  I turned the heat on and dragged out my down comforter for the bed last night.  What happened to summer here in Wisconsin.  I blinked, and now it's gone.

50's yesterday, 50's today, not expected to hit even 60 for several days.  At least the sun will poke through occasionally today.

Today is more tolerable than the past week, even though the temp is about 85 degrees the humidty level is below 50%. Also because of the lower humidy and slightly lower temp, the threat of thunderstorms is near 0 for the next couple of days!
