We are heading back over to wine country today to spend the night. It is supposed to be in the mid 70s, although it is supposed to rain early tonight. Not so good for us bbq-ing, but we'll manage.
-
It is 41 degrees here and raining. Very gloomy.
Meece, have a great time in wine country!
-
Hi Meece, 51 here today, cloudy with rain this evening. For the extended forecast, rain for at least part of the day for next 7 days. You get sunburns, we get SAD light boxes. Just bought one for my daughter for her birthday, we both use it and are on Vitamin D. Karen
-
cloudy, windy, 40.1 degrees. Where's the sun??????
-
Native Mainer, are you feeling better, I hope so. If it is what my DD and Dgranddauther had, it took a week to resove itself. In WNY, the temp is 62 and is a little sunny, it sure looks and feels good. Karen.
-
only 45 degrees at 9 am, but Sun, Sun, glorious SUN for the third day in a week! rain tomorrow

-
In the low 40s and have had wind, rain, sunshine, and back to clouds all in the past hour. It feels like rain/snow - hope not though I want to where my slippers to the hospital this afternoon
- surgery at 3pm pacific. -
((((GmaFoley)))) I'll be thinking of you during your surgery and recovery. Hope it all goes well.
Cloudy today with a temp of 52. We have flood advisories and are supposed to get 2 - 4 more inches this week. We'll see how that goes.
Have a great day everyone.
-
suswes - your weather is what we are getting too, now I know another state I don't want to retire to, Karen ps why do I save all my errands for a miserable day, I am drenched.
-
Got in the upper 80's here today in Philadelphia. What a change! It came about a little too quickly though. Humid and had to turn the AC on. I normally would LOVE this weather especially after just being cold, but the chemo fatigue and the hat covering my bald head is not made for this weather. My head had beads of sweat on it from the heat and the hat, almost passed out. I never thought I would complain about 80's, but bring back those 50 and 60 degree temps. LOL
-
I have 70 degrees right now but rain. calling for storms later today and tomorrow
. At least we had sunny and warm for Easter Sunday.Sheila
-
I don't know what is up with this Texas weather. It is suppose to be 98 degrees today. What happened to Spring, it just fast forwarded to July
-
sunny but cold here - not moving much today but do see sunshine out the window
-
Sherry, we are reaching record highs everyday--up to 90 and I agree, way too hot too soon. We got a drenching rain on Easter Sunday in the evening and rain last night. I managed to get a rotten cold from my little granddaughter this past weekend. It is toooooo hot to be outside feeling crummy.
-
Hope everyone in the midwest and east is surviving the stormy weather and tornados. We have storms and rain today, so far no tornado warnings or watches (although had one last night). We are finally warming up to normal temps. Will be in the upper 60s today. Too wet for our poor farmers to plant the corn, soy and sugar beets. We're 2 inches above normal for rain and expecting two more inches today. Wish we could share with those of you who need rain!
-
We have beautiful sun and temp. of 74, but that will change soon to severe wind gusts, rain, and thunder storms for thr next3 days. Another day of severe stoms in the plains, and the southeast this has been a terrible Spring for so many.
-
We have temps in the low 80's today but cahnce of showers/storms tonight. Not sure how much rain to expect.
Sheila
-
We were in the 60s today and a little sun.. when it came out I went for a walk around our house - got a little sun and took a few pictures.
-
Glad my son is a night owl, thunderstorm with tornado activity headed toward my house. Unfortunately I have two 60+ year old oak trees in my front yard and no place safe in the house to go during a tornado. We saw that the storm cell was expected to get to our area about 3:20 am. At 3:00 am we packed emergency bags, grabbed the computer and drove to the church (about 3 miles away) to wait out in the basement. A lot of thunder and lightning with some hail. Called my parents on my cell phone and warned them about the storm. When storm passed, we came back home (3:45) and no trees or limbs down. Possible tornado damage SW of us and again NE, looking at the weather radar on weather.com, storm passed right over my area. The Lord answers prayers.
-
I'm so glad you're safe and there was no damage to your home Sheila. Hope you are catching up on your sleep right now!
-
We have a wild strong wind and thunderstorm cells here today. But at least the cold is gone. Saw the twister damage on TV this morning.Just terrible.
-
Here is a link from the local TV station has some photos that people have sent in with the storm damage. (edited) I couldn't get it to link correctly. www.wsoctv.com
I took about an hour nap. good thing I am not working, I can take a nap later.

Hi Sheila, I went on the TV site and found the pictures, lots of damage. It looks like my hometown when our tornado hit a couple of years ago and two people were killed. I can't believe all of the lives that have been taken in this rash of bad weather!
Hope no Tornados for you today Mum.
-
Wow Sheila, So happy to hear you are ok! Other friends I knew were in Alabama and 20 miles away from the tornados the last I heard.
As for us - the snow has arrived on the mountains around us again.. I am so ready for spring! Think we are skipping spring this year and going straight for summer

-
My son just told me that some trees at the First Baptist Church of Hudson had some large trees uprooted last night during the storm. That church is about 3/4 of a mile from my house in the opposite direction of my church. I haven't driven by yet to see the damage. The weather service indicated that an EF-1 tornado did touch down in Southern Caldwell County and left a path approx 100 yards wide through the trees.

So very glad you and your home are safe, Sheila.
Heading out for Relay fo Life soon. The weather is supposed to be low 70s all day. Time to find this year's purple t-shirt and get ready!
-
Have fun Meece. our relay is the first weekend in June. One of the local teams is sponsoring a craft sale next week, they are having the sale in the parking lot of their church and charging $10 for a space. My church ladies are getting a table space to sell items to help pay for furnishing the fellowship hall that is under construction.
-
Sunshine!!! enjoy it while it lasts - today is the march for babies but couldn't go for the walk - too close after my surgery but going to their bbq.
-
yesterday was beautiful. We stayed a few hours at the RFL, but my allergies were bad and we headed home.
There were over 2,000 survivors on the survivor lap! The girl who sang the National Anthem was soemone DH knows from his former church. She had mouth cancer a few years back and they never thought she would sing again. It was so moving! She still has a bit of problems but can she hit the notes perfectly. If someone ever posts it on You Tube, I will be sure to link it. Since we know her story, I had tears streaming down my face!
-
Meece, I love your new avatar with Chester. Glad you had a nice time at the relay for life. I feel your pain with the allergies, our mold and grass is very high and I'm highly allergic to both.
We have had a very cold and wet spring! Today our high is 43 degrees and tonight we may have frost. Snow in some parts of the state. Poor farmers still can't get out in their fields. Hopefully some warmth is on its way soon.
