OK, check out my new hairdo!! This was taken this morning at the Launch evert we had at the Microsoft office. I am standing with a very tall friend/customer.
-
Looks great, Barb! I love the color too. Bet your DH could just eat you up!!
Kathy
-
Thanks, Kathy. He did tell me about five time how great it looks and come to think of it, seems like I had some extra hugs today. I am blessed.
-
geez Barb, I thought maybe your profile pic was a fluke - you're gorgeous!! Very flattering cut and color. By the way, I've been meaning to ask for a while, are are anywhere near Barefoot Beach Resort in Indian Shores? I went there in 2009 with a group of chatters..about 25-30 of us... for one of the chatter's 50th bday and it was by far the best place I've stayed, ever. We hope to arrange another gathering there - it wasn't far from Tampa airport - someone in the area picked me up and I think it took maybe 20 minutes? Very fond memories of that trip.
-
I live maybe 5-6 miles from Indian Shores! Was that Choca (Elaine)?
-
Yes, it was Choca - please don't tell me you were one of the "locals" there the night of her big bash and I didn't know it??? Aside from those of us who travelled, many of her friends from the area came for the Sat night party she threw for herself in the clubhouse of the resort. To anyone reading this post who wants a getaway in that area, I just can't say enough about the resort itself and their staff. They went out of their way to accomodate us. Each unit is individually owned (or there may be some owners who have more than one unit but you get my drift) and the setting, on the intercoastal waterway, is just gorgeous. I have no idea what their normal rates are, but they gave us a discount like you wouldn't believe. I truly hated to leave after my 5 days were up. We're trying to see if we can do it again this year as a matter of fact!
-
Count me in. I am always up for a pah-Tay! No I met Choca et al when we all did lunch in Tampa with Faith.
-
barbara..et al.. stopping by to say hello. ive been in a miserable, bitchy mood for days now.. i guess its this "virus" Mrsa.. whatever, its' making me evil!hahaha im punishing myself, and leaving poor mur alone, and im in the liv rm so i don;t "chew" on him!!
i just have been reading, not posting, but i had to tell ya, Barbara..you're frekin hair is gorgeous! you took off 10 yrs with the cut and color...!!! stay well all of you. ill get straightened out soon, and be back... 3jays
-
3jays LOVE YOU!!
-
3Jays, don't stay away cause you're crabby...I thrive on knowing others get crabby too, and Lord knows you have more reason than many of us do, so say what you want, when you want. Don't hide, okay? You say that you're leaving "mur" alone ... when I was early 20's I had a house at the Jersey shore for the summer and a group of guys had the house next door. One of the guys was named Mur - I have no idea what it was nickname for - not Murphy or anything obvious - but he was a hunk and a half!! You brought back a good memory for me saying that name - thanks. See, even when you think you're being bitchy, you made me smile. Funny how thing work, isn't it? Hugs, and more hugs my friend.
-
Barb - love the new cut and color! You look fantastic.
It is getting late and we have an early day tommor so I am off to bed.
Sweet dreams everyone. -
Oooooo la-la, BarbaA. Amazing look. You are rockin' that look girlfriend!
have a good one!
Teklya
-
Looking great BarbA..you are right that guy is tall
-
thanks, Marlegal... Mur is short for Murray, around here. and thanks for the encouragement. i do read, just don't post much now. will try more. i was here looking for Marybe. she and Barbara A stay in touch "telephonecally" sp and Barbara said Marybe was having trouble after the neulasta.. i honest to God thought that would kill me long before bc did, but i lived thru it, many nights, i wasn't sure.. so, i wanted her to know she has a cheerleader team here!!! night... 3jays
-
I know I've seen posts of marybe recently... maybe on another thread? that's why I don't like to do too many, I get confused easily!! hope she's okay. I had no prob with Neulasta but I know many do. weird how our bodies react differently isn't it? nice if we could have just one roadmap instead of 4,813 but I guess that's just not part of the plan.
-
I think it would be hilarious if the Mur for the 2 of you ended up being the same Mur!
-
Joni, I would love nothing more!!!! I have a picture of "my" mur .. I'll have to find it and post in here!
Going to bed now my friends ... see you tomorrow night (actually later tonight, but I still consider this Friday!!)
Hugs

somehow, doorways have always fascinated me...
-
Lisa, Many years ago one of my husband's work visitors mentioned the chimney pots in our area as we drove to dinner. Until then I never paid any attention to them. That discussion turned to lintels (? spelling), doorways, arched windows, etc. Gave me a new perspective on architecture and the beauty in buildings.

Barb, Your hair looks great. Lisa, I have a big poster called doors of Dublin that I love which looks a lot like the ones you posted ...from this trip, right?
Today I am feeling a little less like shit, but it was really Bad yesterday afternoon on. I felt like I had an instant arthritis attack, I mean I hurt everywhere.....my head even hurt to touch it this morning and I put my hand up there and thought oh crap, maybe it is the hair starting to go, but I still think it is too early for that,,,,maybe in another week or so. Anyway, thanks to Barb and 3jays and everyone calling to check on me. I keep a phone in the bed and that way I don't even have to get up. I have spent all but about an hour in bed today and the dogs have been hanging out with me. I ache less, but still feel like someone was beating on me. Next time I will take the claritin BEFORE I get the injection....still have not figured out how that is supposed to work, but the ones who have done it swear it does. And then I spoke to my friend Lee today and she said she got one every week she was doing the A/C and they never bothered her one bit....go figure. Well, I am going to go have another Edy's fruit bar.....I sort of live on those when I am feeling icky.

Marybe...thinking of you. Hoping the worst has passed now. It sounds a very shi**y drug that you've had. Hate to think of you being so rough, wish we could all take a little of your distress, to lessen your burden. How long does this stage last. Just don't push yourself at all, be kind to yourself.
It is my 8 year anniversary today....just about now, 8 years ago, I was waking up, feeling very groggy, and feeling to see if my boobs really had gone ! It wasn't a bad operation, not a lot of pain at all, but still had to stay in hospital 4 days, which drove me insane.
Having a lazy w/end, got to get ready for decorator, coming on Monday morning, on Sunday. It will take me all day at the speed I go nowadays. Am having the whole of the downstairs painted over the next 2/3 weeks. At one time I would have relished the task myself, but just cannot push a paintbrush now. Goodness knows where all my dust sheets are, but have to find them, or there'll be a real old mess.
Isabella.
-
Congrats Isabella on eight years...long long time isn't it...funny how fast it passes
-
I can't wait to say "8 years ago"!
-
Marybe - know my thoughts and prayers are with you. Sorry you are having such a bad time with this round. Remember we love you and are here for you.
Isabella - Wow, 8 years is great and you still do circles around what I can do. I hope I am doing 1/2 as good as you when I get to say 8 years! -
Isabella ~ 8 years, WOW! This is happy, happy news! Best wishes & hugs.
-
Congrats Isabella!!! Hope the years just keep ticking by for you!
-
Isabella, 8 years! Wow. I hope I can get to say that one day.
-
Hi BarbaraA,
Just popping in to ask after SV. How is she doing?
-
She is doing better. She has an appointment for a consult at Duke. This is indeed a good thing.
-
Great! Thanks Barbara.
