I'm not sure this is the right place for this posting - but ..... I am feeling so grouchy and depressed.  It's not bad enough that you have to fight this disease, but you also have to fight your emotions and thoughts.  I am through my chemo - that alone should make me feel happy.  I am almost half way through my radiation ... but still I can't seem to even smile anymore.  I am achy - hurting really ( they have done blood tests, and think it's residual from the Taxol that ended 5 weeks ago ... or perhaps some symptoms from being in chemically caused menopause ), have swollen hands and feet, it's hard to sleep, I'm nauseous ( although the techs say it can't possibly be from the radiation ), I barely have an appetite, no ambition.  I'm tired of being in pain - especially since they don't know when/if it will end.  The percocet helps, but it's still there and wakes me up at night.

I have a wonderful husband who goes to each and every treatment with me .. and still I'm a grouch.  I am going to ask the councelor at the cancer center for a referral to a therapist that is familiar with cancer.  In the meantime, I am hoping you all may have a few words of wisdom - or something that can help me break this cycle.  I'm just tired of it all ..........

hugs to all of you -

Catlover, what youa re feeling is normal.  We have all felt that way.  Give yourself some time to heal, it takes a LONG time to heal both physically and mentally.  Welcome to our thread.

My son had the Norovirus, school called and they have had 100's of kids with it.  He has a half day today and is with his GF now so he will probably get it again.

Just got a call from my PCP on the BW I had done.  It was a retake because my BUN, Calcium and Chloride was abnormal.

The results are all normal.  PHEW.

    Now I'm PEEPIN out.

    Good news Deb!

Just got some good news here as well.  DS accepted a position last fall and the company was bought out a week later and they have really made it a mess.  He had been negotiating between two companies at the time and when he turned the other down, it was because his wife didn't want him to travel very much.  Thankfully, he kept the door open and today he accepted the original position with them, along with a promise of reasonable travel.  He is so happy and so damn lucky. If he has to travel more, at least I get the grand-dog.

It's still pretty uncomfortable - seeing the surgeon on Wed.  Neck and shoulder pain from a pinched nerve - don't want anyone thinking this is more BC :)

YAY!  for normal bloodwork!  That's a relief.

Hope you're done with the norovirus, Linda, and that you are feeling better yourself.

Waiting on news on Diane's MRI?  Hope the results indicate there is a quick fix.

Hoping for no more drama, Sandy.

Sue - it's totally normal to be grouchy- but by all means, have a counselor help you with it.  I'm still a mess - that's why I come here and laugh with these ladies and their antics.  I try to laugh at as much as I can - to try to minimize the grouchies.

Chris - not loving the process to get to the quick fix.  We already know from the xray that it is pinched nerve/degenerated discs C5 and C6.  We already know that I will get an epidural in my neck.  Had the MRI last Wed.  See the surgeon again this Wed so he can repeat what he told me last Wed.  This all has to happen before I can get scheduled  with the guy who does the neck.  So they leave you in pain.  Yuk.  It is making me grouchy.

I completely understand that you might be grouchy.  Chronic pain really wears you down.  I thought you were getting more info Wed -  didn't realize they had already given you the results.  So they are doing the epidural for pain relief and to reduce inflammation?  Once the inflammation is reduced, might that be all that you need or do they anticipate having to do something else later?  I hope they schedule you to have it done soon and that you have immediate relief.

I am determined to get better!  I went on antibiotics today ven though they wont cure a cold.  Maybe I have some weird infection?  DH thinks I have walking pneumonia.  Both kids have has the nurovirus, one is still home withme today and will be tomorrow too.  I PRAY that I don't get that next.  It's highly contagious.  I keep bleaching everything they touch!

    How are you all doing??

Sandy, thnx for asking.  I wish we all lived closer so we can visit each other, oh well.

My DD is having a great time Heli Skiing, the weather has not been good for a few days so the helicopter can't bring them to the top of the mountains to ski down, poor baby, LOL.  She asked about Smokey (her 14 yo cat she had to put down) she had him creamated and she was asking if they called to pick up his ashes.  Yes, they called and DH will be pick him up Friday.  She said she has a few bad days were she was thinking of him and had a few bad dreams about himInnocent

He's is in kitty heaven now.
