Wow!  Welcomes?  That's a new one for me.  Thanks girls, that's awesome.

Meece-I looked for a job for 10 months about two years ago (214 resumes sent out--I counted), and couldn't find a job.  I'm 40 with YEARS of experience being an Office Manager for a small business.  I couldn't even get a $10/hour job.  So depressing.  I finally took a job at my friend's hair salon as a part-time receptionist.  It was fun while it lasted.  I just quit 2 weeks ago.  Couldn't stand the gossip and backstabbing even one minute longer!  Women, I swear.  Lol.  Anyway!  I sincerely hope your interview goes well, and they end up being a good fit.

I would go backward and comment on other posts, but I'm afraid to lose my post...I swear, chemo has destroyed my brain and I've become slightly computer illiterate...

I just uploaded an avatar-my first since I've been on this site.  This is my first cut and color since I finished chemo in July.  I just got it done last night.  I feel very weird going without a hat or wig.

I feel the same way Chris.  I would love to go and get a job but have been out of the work force for 12 years raising kids.  Computers and software packages were very different 12 years ago!  My resume stopped 12 years ago.  UGH!  I'm very proud of you for doing it!

Congrats to you too, Meece.  When you make it big will you hire me and Chris?

chris, I am a receptionist at the company I work for and have been for 7 yrs.  Ten years B4 that my DH (darling husband or dick head, depends on how he behaves, lol) we owned a small Mom & Pop store.  It was nice getting back into the working world I hated the hours at the store, 7 - 9 every single freakin day.  Wasted 10 years of my life.  I am self taught on word and excel, it really isn't all that difficult.

I worked at Raytheon as soon as I graduated from HS, 1969 until 1975, I was a secretary for about 7 engineers and also a computer/keypunch operator, worked there for 6 years, had Rebekah, didn't work until she was in first grade and that was a school bus driver for 7 years, then worked in Telemarketing for a printing company for about 3 years then moved to North Reading and took over DH's uncle's store cuz he wanted to retire.

Rain, I'm still around.  I have a small very part time tax practice but I still get caught up in that last minute tax deadlint filing and the "Can you get me an extension business."  Haven't had time to say much the last week or so, but I have tried to keep up with reading the posts.  I hope to get started on our own taxes yet tonight. lol

OMG, it is SO much better.  I am so delighted.  Not all gone but damn close and that could improve.  Thank you for asking ladies.  During my post sedation and steroid high, for some reason I invited  several couples for dinner.  Oh well,  Anyway DH and I went shopping last night and did some of the cooking and chopping.  Didn't get to bed till fairly late and we are still lying around. 

Blondie - aren't you headed out of town?

Sheila - are you disappointed in me that I think Paul should have been booted a long, long time ago?

Linda - are you better?

Chris - good for you, I don't have new learning in me right now.

Deb - We have to get ours done too because we have our own businesses.  Sometimes I think the flat rate, off the top concept is a good one.

Chabba - I hope you got them done by midnight.  Chocolate chip cookies....mmmmmm.

OMG - taxes are almost done- just need DH's signature and copies and in the mail.  Already did state online.  Easy.  Federal - I had SO MANY STUPID problems!   First, I misread our church statement and understated how much we gave - so I had to change sch A and the numbers on page 2 of the 1040.  THEN when I went back to doublecheck, I realized my rough draft had dollars and cents on schedule D and when I changed them to whole dollars, the total ended up changing by a DOLLAR!  so I had to go back and change the numbers on the front side of the 1040 AND all the other pages where I had to enter AGI to verify we didn't make too much money to take the deduction/credit!   Aaaaahhhhhhhh!  I feel like that pic you posted for tgif!  

THEN, I was trying to use the Freefile through IRS (too cheap to pay) and the energy credit form would not do the calculation to calculate 0 at the end of page 2.  I was afraid if I electronically filed and that field wasn't filled in, it would be rejected so we decided to file on paper. 

THEN when I tried to print out the forms I had filled out online though Freefile, my computer kept hanging.  I'd restart the computer, go back in, and try again - same thing!!!!!

So I finally had to print out the forms from IRS.gov and do it BY HAND!!!

OMG!

Well, it's done.  There had better not be anything wrong with it at this point.

Diane - fingers and toes crossed that the epidural keeps working!

Chabba - hope your taxes go smoothly tonight!  I think I had enough trouble for all of us.

Burley - your hair looks GREAT!   My hair was short like yours a year ago and it's getting pretty long now.  Down to my shoulders.   Look more like myself now.

Sounds like you've been productive today.  I still need to shower.  I was just saying how much easier it was when my hair was only an inch long.  But I think I don't look as bad with longer hair. 

I need to clean up my house.  Having in-laws over tomorrow briefly between Palm Sunday service and the 2:00 A Chorus Line showing.  Can really only see DD in opening number.  In one song in the middle and at the end, she is in the back.  I went to the show last night and they said no video taping.  I'm considering recording the opening number tomorrow anyway.  Rebel that I am.

i am not going to the beach until maybe tomorrow, life has a way of getting in the way, Andrew didn't want to be with me yesterday so that was a bust, have a bd party today for GD at sons, am sure ex, his gf and daughter will be there, hate it with the family divided I was always afraid that my kids would not talk to each other and now it is true and that was before the twins, now they are divided and one "talks" to one group and the other "talks" to the other.  Not sure if I told you but daughter got married on Wednesday and no I didn't go, apparently my oldest daughter that doesn't talk to no one but youngest daughter was invited, my 3 sons (including the twins) weren't, now if I went and nobody that attended talked to me which they don't, why would I put myself through that...When daughter had party for GD a couple of weeks ago, my DIL who I just had the suprise party for wanted to go and son was at work, so I told her I would go which I had no intentions of going.  So DIL, GD (whose party is today (13) and Zander the new GS went and NOBODY talked to DIL or my grandaughter....daughters person she married's aunt came up to me and said "hi Sandy" I am blah blah blah and I said yea I know how are you, this is DIL she is married to daughter brother, she said, I didn't know daughter had a brother......and we left an hour after that.....sorry about ranting am getting ready for this party.......5 of the 6 grandchildren will be there.....will take pix!!

I raked for a while but the wind is blowing too hard and it's too cold.  So I came in, turned up the gas burning stove and trying to get warm.  I feel like hot mulled cider but I have no cider just the mulling spices I bought at Pickity Place.
