Spirited and Lively Older Women Thread

I am just floored at what happened on the other (old) thread. I detatched it from my favorites after seeing the one pushy mean girl who had promised to leave us alone then came back and killed it. I've thought about it a long time and I know what happened there and other discussed threads, but it just blows my mind that the bully "won". I'm glad the thread is dying now. What I think is that because it was the first thread on that topic, and because it was so active it got a lot of readers, I think that Ms.Meany wants it to be all nicey to newbies without any CURSING or perceived foul, less than mannered language, welcome center for older ladies looking for a home topic. But the whole thing is there for anyone to read through and if any new people read it all they will see the turmoil she caused. Now it's very quiet. So, I gave it a moment of silence out of respect for the friends I met there, and dropped it cold.
Just so high school clique like. YUK. Didn't like that in high school, never expected it here. too bad.
Barb - Please tell what supplements you take that give you so much energy? I need some of that.
Amyjo- Congrats on finishing rads. its an odd feeling to not go there everyday. I'm happy for you.
Everyone - Have a great day
Connie

Hi Connie, I take 1000 D3, B12 (I think that gives me the energy), DIM, grapeseed extract, a multi, fish oil, turmeric, myomin, milk thistle, quercetin and bromelain. It is a lot of pills to gag down but I feel great.

What to do, what to do? What will I do with myself tomorrow? It is the first day in 7 weeks that I have not had to do to some kind of treatment. OHHH I know!!!!! PATRY!!!!!
Hope everyone has a great day and gets a good nights rest. Amy Jo
-
Great to see you Amyjo we were worried that you might forget its party time. It is really strange when some part of treatment ends so you have to replace it with something.
-
-
Whatever you do tomorrow, Amyjo, ENJOY! 7 weeks of treatment - you deserve a reprieve!

Good morning everyone. Today is it, today's the day, I am going to finally get my income tax all squared away....at least that is the plan. I am sure however, I can invent something to put it off, but since I have to get it all to my friend who does my taxes on Monday, I am sort of at a deadline here. I have been singing that song they used to do when the Bugs Bunny show would come on in my head....This is it, tonight's the night. No more nursing, rehearsing each part, we know every line by heart..............so comeon with the show this is it!!! Or something like that....I can't carry a tune at all, but certainly do sing a lot in my head. My income tax is no big deal, it's not even all that complicated and my friend who does it works for the dept of taxation and she keeps telling me, Don't worry about it so much, You are a little fish and they dont bother with little people like you. But that still doesn't make it any easier to get the crap together. It's my ADD which I guess I always had, but chemo certainly did make it come out full force.
So anyway, today is the day and I have all day to do it since it is Opening Day in CIncinnati. I talked to 3jays last night and she asked What is this opening day you keep talking about? Sorry, I guess I just always figure everyone knows about things and that this is actually just a local big day....the lst Red's baseball game of the season. They have a big parade downtown and then this afternoon is the game. I could care less, but we have the day off since the boss and the two front desk gals are going to the game. When I get this done, we can do a happy dance for me....the pressure will be off.
In the meantime, congratulations AmyJo....am sure you will be happy to not be going to doctors and for rads on a daily basis. That can get old fast. Nice to see you again Connie. Lisa, you give new meaning to Bring on the clowns. Everyone else, I hope you are having a good day, but I can't go back to see what you wrote or I will lose what I have written.....I do remember that someone went to Trader Joe's and my eyes lit up when I read that....I LOVE Trader Joe's. It is the only place in Cincinnati that you can get pomegranate seeds since Costco only had them in the winter. It was fun chatting with you last night, SV.....so glad you are feeling better. You all party hearty and enjoy the day and evening, all of you down under. 9 hrs right?
Oh, I know I already posted this on a thread, but my vitamin D level was 68....that is very good considering I have never taken a vitamin in my life....no take that back, did used to take C whenever I was worried about catching a cold. Colds are something I avoid like the plague.

Trader Joe's is one of my favorite grocery stores..only just when I get hooked
on a product they discontinue it...
-
WAHH!! The closest Trader Joe's to me is either Charleston or Atlanta.

Don't play much baseball in this part of the world. Its cricket and rugby along with netball that the majority of people follow. We are Highlander followers and of course support the All Blacks and anyone playing Australia. Same for cricket do support our Black Caps even though they usually get beaten.
This is our Highlander.
Must fly as I have to do to the dentist with DH. Will explain that later.
-
Boy, you girls love your ball teams! Just wondering is it the game or the players?
We do not have a professional baseball team here so we usually root for the Atlanta Braves. I am not really much of a sports fan, I just watch the games to be close to DH. He is the super sports fan and he can remember all the stats for every kind of game that involves a ball!
I have spend the majority of the day sleeping. SV called but I was asleep and my phone was in the other room in my purse so I did not hear it. She said she was having a bad day, so I am sorry I missed her. Also missed calls from both my girls. I am falling asleep everytime I get still so I may be headed back to bed. The rad treatments have really zapped my strength as well as my body.
Hope everyone has a restful evening. Amy Jo
