Thinking Out Loud.....

Yes, Sheila, I am doing all the wedding stuff with DH. He needs someone who loves him there. We went to the rehearsal and dinner tonight. What a mess! We stood (Since they hadn't put out the chairs yet) The wedding coordinator (and I use the term loosely) had the wedding party walk down from the stage about three times, and that was it. No walk in, no escorting of parents, nothing. There was a bar so most of the wedding party were carrying glasses or bottles. Then there was some sort of quiet dismissal, and everyone went to Dh's ex's house for pizza and you guessed it, Costco Lasagna, I kid you not!
Not many people even spoke to us, and DH's kids were their normal selves. Since he told his ex how he felt about the request for money but keeping him out of any planning, she didn'teven acknowledge him. Just they way we like it. Can't wait for tomorrow to be over with.
-
Meece 1 down and 1 to go.
What is this Costco's Lasagna/ Why is it becoming so popular?
-
It is really good, and easy to fix. Especially if you have ever made lasagna from scratch. The funny thing is they didn't get the lasagna done on timje, so they served dessert, salad and olives. Then the lasagna got finished and they finally went and picked up the take out pizza, bt by the time they served it , it was luke warm at best.
Took notes as to what not to do when DS marries in 18 months.

Good Night

Good Morning Meece. Hope your day is fun today!
-
Our toaster oven crapped out, we still can toast but not bake. We use is a lot, so today DH and I will go to Walfart or Sears to get a new one. I love the under the counter ones, I hope we can find the same kind. DD is out doing errans and going to her best friends son's b-day party then going over to my DB's house to visit with her cousins before she leaves for Bermuda.

Going to a fgundraiser tonight for best buddies. They help intellectually challenged kids. Hope the band is good!
-
Have fun, whatcha wearing? How is everybody else, me just sitting and nothing else.
-
Just got back from lunch for FIL's 81st birthday. He looked good. Hopefully he won't be heading back to the hospital any time soon. DH finally took him for a badly needed haircut. I bet he feels better now - all cleaned up.
DD is trying to plan to meet up with friends to see a movie tonight. I told her she could drive herself. She doesn't know how to get there. She asked her friend if she could follow him. He said he doesn't know how to get there either! LOL So... we'll have to see how this turns out. Might have to drive them there after all.
UConn game tonight - Elite Eight! Go UConn!
Hope you have fun at the fundraiser, Linda

Im fed, showered and watching Sister Act 2.
My father was little better today. Plasma helped.
-
Was he anemic? My Dad had 2 transfusions awhile back, perked him up within hours.
Got a new under the counter toaster oven, now let's see how long it takes DH to put it up. I had to put the bathroom caddy together otherwise it would have taken forever. What a procrastinator!!
-
Deb..He takes coumadin for heart related..???....and it got too thin. It wasnt a BT it was just plasma looked like mango drink in the bag.
Maybe you should look at the instructions yourself its not that hard.
Can you use it without attaching it?
-
Glad to hear your dad was better today, Sheila.
It takes forever for things to get done around this house too, Deb.
DD drove by herself to the theater - and home again.
UConn's in the Final Four - woo hoo! Now that's what I'm talkin' about!
This may be TMI - So - I have constant sinus problems - allergies - constant post nasal drip. Had an irritated throat earlier - took a decongestant. Was just in the bathroom washing up and decided to spit out the drip in my throat and there was blood in it. Hmmm. Either the decongestant really dried me out or maybe I have a constant sinus infection that just keeps waxing and waning. I have felt like I was coming down with a cold a number of times this winter and never got sick. Suppose I should see the doc about it. Symptoms will probably be gone by the time I see her. A couple years ago- around the time of my lumpectomy - every couple weeks I would feel like I had a sinus infection - I would blow some yellow crap out my nose a few times and my teeth would tingle and hurt - but the next day it was gone. I actually had that happen the morning of my lumpectomy, but I didn't tell anyone- didn't want to take the chance they wouldn't do the surgery if I had an infection. Now tomorrow is my biopsy and it's acting up again. What's up with that?
-
Ask a doctor, Chris. Better safe than sorry!
Back from the fundraiser, good cause but BORING!
-
Hi chris....I will be thinking of you tomorrow.♥♥♥♥♥♥
Good Night everyone.
-
Good night!
-
Oops - biopsy is Monday - got ahead of myself. Guess I want it overwith.
More signs of spring - the woodpecker was jackhammering on the metal on our chimney this morning. At least it was after 8am and not 4:45 when he usually does it.
Happy Sunday! Gotta get ready for church...

Happy Sunday Everyone!

We survived the wedding. It was no more organized than the rehearsal. When we arrived an hour early the groom and his groomsmen we outside smoking and drinking and the guests who were already there were milling around the ceremony room. When the wedding was to start the grandmothers walked in and sat, not in any specific area and without ushers (There were no ushers). DH went in and sat with his mom, Ex and her husband walked in and sat at the Parents of the groom seats. Then were were asked to go sit up with them. All the time, the wedding coordinator was no where to be seen. She spent the whole time up in the brides room with the bride.
Dh's brother and Mother spent the evening shooting jabs at DH and I, but we took it gracefully.
It's over and I am relieved.
-
(((Meece))) What goes around comes around.
A person's actions, whether good or bad, will often have consequences for that person. You and DH are the better persons.
I am glad you are relieved, you don't need that stress!
Washing windows today, can't stand looking at the spots of rain when the sun shines in.

Heading to church, it's baby rocking day. So relaxing.
We went to buy one more koi yesterday morning.and came home with three. The one was supposed to be in a competition in October. Everyone there bought one they thought would win the competition. There were a hundred or so to pick from, and 18 purchased. We picked 6th and 14th, and the breeder told us that we had picked two of the top five fish, and one was their pick. We'll now see if we can make them even nicer! It really helped get DH's mind off the wedding.
-
A friend of mine at work have Koi, in the winter they put them in a kiddy swimming pool in their basement, then bring them back out when the weather is warm enough.
-
chris..Dont feel bad when I woke up this morning I was thing of you than I realized it was Sunday.
Meece...That's a relief. now you can relax so DH.
It's a sunny day. I wanted to be a lazy person today. But change of mind will do wash mine and DD she is running at Central Park today for Collecteral (sp) Cancer fund.♥
