Tuesday is our anniversary. Where has the time gone?
-
Meece - you can weigh before the shower - don't think it will make that much difference.
BTW - you only gave yourself 1 pt for Friday - should be 3 pts. See, I've got your back.
-
LOL Patoooooooo!!!! Meece washes off pounds worth of dirt from all of her gardening exploits I bet.
DON23: HAWAIIIIIIIII, as your captain I think I was supposed to get an invitation to come along, so that I could supervise your eating selections & exercise in the waves!! I'm so happy for you. Paradise! (I've never been before, but can imagine the joy you will treasure for always.)
BColorado/Paula: I'm glad that you're starting to have some more bounce in your step & hoping the traffic anxiety lessens dramatically with each new day.
I can't recall all of the other shout-outs that I wanted to give. Swiss cheese for brains.
Captain Faithie, checkin' in for the Hummingbirdies:
Reporting in on Fri: 3 points
Weight down from last week: 2 points -- 137.2 pounds*
*I am so thrilled to make this part of the report. This past week/10 days has been the most 'ambitious' for my professional life, since my BILAT & it's various complications, now 13 months ago. In any case, for me to be able to seriously 'return' to everything I did last week and NOT resort to wolfing down every carb & calorie available was a moral victory!!!! There's hope.
Water: 7 points (or a hundred & seven as I seriously worked to stay super hydrated to keep my voice for the whole duration)
Exercise: 4 points (all time low for me this calendar year -- but I was moving & grooving most of every 12 hour day, so I think that helped on the scale)
Extra credit point: They served a luscious desert at one of my functions & I pushed it away!
Total points = 17 points plus one moral victory!!!
Oh, the other totally out-of-character thing I did yesterday, was to completely unpack our suitcases & put the un-needed ones back in the closet..... on the day of our return!!!
Gonna sit at the pool for an hour (yes, in my polka-dot suit) and then we will leave for southern FL, where I give the keynote tomorrow for a conference there!! The car's already packed & ready to go!!!
++ Not sure when I will have a chance to get the team totals together. It may have to wait until we're driving home tomorrow night? Hopefully I'll have internet in the car for that task.
++++ Meece, are we gonna have a 'special' bonus weigh in on Tues for the anniversary? Or are you gonna announce the team total points?? We need to have a serious party. It would be fun for you to post the original ELAB birdies weights from a year ago -- so we can see where we stand.

Hummingbird checking in:
Weight: down 147 ( lowest I've been in years) Yeah! = 2 points
Water = 7 points
Exercise = 9 points
Friday check in = 3 points
New E lab low = 1 point
Total with Elab low = 22 points
Thanks Faith!
I am 5'7" and my previous goal was to be lower than 150. Now that I have made it to 147 my new goal is lower than 145. Baby steps. I am down to a size 10 and haven't been that in years either. Giving away my size 12's so I will have nothing to wear if I gain again.
-
Faith, I agree it would be great to see how far the original E-Labbers have come since last year. Would be motivational for the newbies, well at least one (moi) to envision where we can be next year.
-
ValGirl. Your lowest weight since joining ELAB, is indeed your lowest weight.
Since 147 is your new, lowest low, you get the extra point, for a total of 3 points for hitting this new level!!!!! Congrats and KUDOS to you for that extra point's worth of motivation, effort and accomplishment. So I will therefore score you in at 22 points -- assuming I remember! Prompt me, or change your post above.
CLAIM that extra point VAL, CLAIM it!!!!!!!
Super fantastic that you're getting rid of your 'ol pants and moving into a trimmer & more fit lifestyle.
YEAH HUMMINGBIRDS!!!!!
YEAH ELABsters!!!!

Wouldn't it be lovely if we could all meet for an anniversary party!!
Faithie and others in Florida - there is a group of Irish musicians and dancers heading over (I think it's to the St Augustine area if that makes sense!!) to celebrate St Patrick's Day (they will be there from 10th to 18th March). My DS and her DH are part of the group - I am so envious!!!

MaiTai, you forgot to add your 3 points for checkin' in on Friday, since I was very clever to notice that, I've added the 3 points to your total. I'm not sure if this is your lowest since joining ELAB? If so, we get another point.
Congrats on seeking out a dietitian! We will all benefit from her suggestions -- once you begin sharing those ideas.
The rest of you hummers Deborye, My3girls and Pray -- I look forward to your additions. I promise to get them added at some point!!!
Keep moving!!!
Ainm. You are certainly our BIGGEST Loser!! That's for sure. Congrats!!!! Remember your hard work entitles you to staying in our home. (I realize that you only need to win the lottery for a plane ticket to cross the pond. Stranger things have happened.)

GOOD JOB and Good Night!
-
Seyla and Roadrunners - missed the Friday deadline officially, but to me it's still Friday, so I'm counting it!
Friday check-in - 3 pts
Weight UP - 0 pts - much knashing of teeth, weeping and tearing of hair - Hi, I'm Elaine and I'm a sugar addict. Can you say chocolate? Does anyone else do what I do - put the slide on the scale several pounds too high so you can nudge it down and feel virtuous? Didn't work for me this week - barely got to move it down at all.
Water - 7 pts
Exercise - 4.5 hrs - 9pts - yay! best I've done so far. Will be working with my PT next week to modify my exercises to keep from aggravating my torn tendon. That will help, too.
-
prayrv - weight down = 2 pts so you got another.
samsue, I agree, the support keeps us striving and we know that it's okay to have a "bad" week at times. I like that we may be low on points in one ares, say water, but up in exercise. This thread is a great way to watch out for our health, so bookart, not to worry - we're already in to another week. Thanks all.

Good job Hummingbirds!
-
Hey All,
faithandfifty - sadly it is not my E-LAB low. I'm going up and down.
So as I said, I went to my dietitian.
First thing I have to drink almost 10 glasses of water (or tea) a day. No more than 4 cups of coffee. She calculates the water that I should drink but I don't know the ratio.
First week, no tomatoes or beetroot. No tropical fruits.
No more than 2 carbs a day (including cereal, light bread and fruit). No sugar but no aspartame either.
For the first week, a soup made of 1 onion, zucchini, dill, parsley, celery, coriander. Just cook every thing with salt, pepper and no more than to tablespoons of powdered soup of any kind. I also added garlic and turmeric.
Have to go. Will go on later if you are interested in this.
