Weight up a pound 0 pts (I imagine the real damage will show next week)
Fluids 7 pts
Exercise 23 pts
I was going to claim a bonus point for advancing from the 10,000 bracket to the 11,000 bracket in steps for my 60 mins Wii Fit steps but I have been soooooo bad with food this week and have still not taken it under control - it's Mum's 79th birthday today and she had visitors during the week so we had cake and biscuits, then I took her out yesterday and we ended up going for tea and cake, then today I baked a birthday cake for her and of course helped her eat it - in the meantime because I was eating cake all week I decided that seeing as I was being bad I might as well be very, very bad and eat cheese, bread, more biscuits and in general just pick, pick, pick - well that's what birds do!!!!! Sorry fellow roadrunners I am really not doing so good - it's gone from comfort eating, to 'don't give a dam' eating and I'm sure I'll hit the guilt eating and the 'poor me' eating any time now!!! Sorry for being so self-centered.
Total for me is 33 points I guess - at least I kept up the exercise!!

Happy Birthday Michelle. Not even going to try and match seyla and faithie's great pics.
Ladies, I posted first this morning (I think) and you all - well many of you - followed my bad habits this week. I think you all just did it so I wouldn't feel left out and so I thank you very much. I promise to do better next week so you can all lose too, okay, deal! What a great bunch of friends.

HUMMINGBIRD CHECK IN:
Friday Check-in: 3 points
Weight: 136.2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
++++++++NEW ELAB LOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 POINTS!!!!!!
Exercise: 22 points (11 hours!)
Water: 7 points
Extra credit: On Tuesday, in addition to two hours of line dance in the morning (30 minutes of tutorial before 90 minute class) I drug my DH over to couples line dancing for an hour in the evening. He hated it, (because he didn't know a thing) and I was in seventh heaven -- having learned quite a few of the routines. ONE POINT!
Grand Sub-total for moi: 36 points
The grandest point of the 36:
Thanks you ELABsters one and all!!!!!
Here in concludes my two straight weeks of concerted, focused, non-disrupted ELAB effort..... which did indeed yield my lowest low of the last five years. On Tuesday we return to 'real life' and living in with my daughter and grandchildren and a pantry full of carbs, temptations and not enough hours in the day to exercise-like-it's-my-job, as next week I must return to working for a living..... including eating out, and every other bad habit that I've elimitated these past two weeks.
It's thrilling to know that concerted effort yields results. I will attempt to behave myself. We fly north on Tuesday. It's the most 'work' that I have scheduled since my BILAT/complications/LE. I feel very strong tonight. We'll see how the ten days play out! Wish me luck.

Happy Birthday Michelle! Checking in from DC - no scale so I can't weigh myself although my clothes still fit.
Rockin' Robins
Checking in - 3 pts
Water - 7 pts
Exercise - 14 points
total - 24 points
I did see a bird eating a french fry this afternoon by the Lincoln memorial so I followed its lead - bad me but good french fries and we are supposed to eat like birds! This was amongst several hours of walking though so I know I burned those calories.
-
Robin checking in.
Unfortunately I gained this week back to where I was to start off with! (155)
I don't know why since I feel like I have salad growing out of my ears! I can still tell a difference in my clothes and how they fit though so things are definitely in better places at least.
Exercize= 7 points
Water Intake = 7 points
Friday check in = 3 points
Total = 17 points....unless honesty about my weight counts for something?

BTW - my 50 b-day was yesterday, but had to work a 14 hour day so no festivities, just lots of well-wishers in fb.

Checking in -
Friday Check in = 3 points
Weight down to 191.6 (1 more #) = 2 points (That's a total of 6.4 in the 5 weeks!)
New Low E-Lab = 1 point
Water intake = 7 points
Exercise = 12 points
I passed up freshly made, soft, dark chocolate brownies at work - just to get this one more point!!!!! = 1 point extra credit.
Total = 25 points !!!!!!!!!
This point system really helps me see where to increase and where to decrease!!!! And the phrase - Eat less, Move more!!!!
I thought I WAS eating well, most of the time, and exercising too. But more water, more exercise and less food and MORE healthy choices - are showing progress! It WORKS ladies! Thanks so much for the push and plan!
Had lab work done this morning for doctor appointment next week. Have been on the verge of blood pressure medicine and blood sugar medicine. After 5 weeks of E-Lab - my blood sugar is great, my blood pressure is great, my cholesterol, HDL and LDL are great! Can't wait to see the surprise when my doctor figures out that he now has no reason to push me into prescription meds!!!!!
Happy birthday Michelle. Your cakes look wonderful! Now we know how to "eat" all the cake we want!
This starts another week - one day at a time, one point at a time, one choice at a time. We can do it! All together now........
-
bookart ~ I hope you had a wonderful Birthday!!
If you'd like to friend me on FB, PM me!
-
Happy Birthday Elaine (bookart) ~ welcome to the new survey bracket LOL!
(you're with me now in the 50+ age group :-)
-
HUMMINGBIRD GRAND SUB-TOTAL:
Faith: 136.2 36 points +++++NEW ELAB LOW!!!!
Debor: -- 20 points (I added a point, to your total, because if I read correctly, you lost a pound from last week, which gives you 2 points in that category)
Don23: -- 18 points
My3:
O2B: 177.8 13 points**** Happy Birthday
Pray: -- 11 points
Seaside: 167.2 15 points
ValGirl: 148 15 points
MaiTai: -- 14 points
Grand Total: 142 points
My3Girls, we always love to hear from you -- whenever it is. Please pop in this weekend if you're able to get to your computer and I will update the team.
Team Hummers, I think Patoo's suggestion of continuing to post your weight each week is a good one. I know how tough it is to post a 'higher' weight and now that we have teams it may feel that you're letting the team 'down' etc etc..... I just think it's a 'good' practice to hold ourselves accountable to the entire world once a week. We have joined hands for the "long haul"..... this is a marathon and not a sprint.
MaiTai, you're excused due to travel abroad.
-
ELAINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happiest of the weekend-to-celebrate-your-birthday:
Glad you got the FB party, now this weekend you can treat yourself to a celebration.
Hope that you continue to feel better each day and can regain some strength as you start your next journey around the sun!!!
All the birdies are here together in our wishing you well!!!
xx00xx00xx
-
Bookart, did I just read that your birthday was yesterday? Happy "50". Usually at work we decorate the office with streamers and give the girls a crown to wear all day.... Here's to you and your crown.
-
Faith, Seyla, team leaders - I should clarify. I just thought that if the leader included in her team totals on Friday both the points earned and the curreent weight for each member (those who don't mind it being posted), then it would make it easier for Meece to change the current weight at the top of the page.
-
Just wrote a post and see I forgot to submit and poooooof.
Anyhow I was thanking Patoo for clarifying. Her idea was to help make our Meecie's life easier, by us captains posting all of our members weights each weekend.
I then just kept rambling in my post from Patoo's good suggestion. Editorial all mine. There are certainly oodles of times when not posting a specific weight is 'necessary' for one's mental health. I can imagine after two weeks across Europe in April, I'll need 'several' weeks to get my own act back together.
In any case.................. I will continue to post weights that are reported to help Meece in her book-keeping efforts on behalf of all of us.
I swear someone made a reference to french fries. I went back to see who it was and that's how the first post went poof.
I found this sign in a beachside gift shop, this time last year.
Old timers may remember.
You newbies can laugh anew at the concept:
The truth I take from this concept, is to enjoy what it is we put into our mouth..... no sense in eating with guilt. Over time we can modify our choices..... balance our choices, celebrate our choices.... but to appreicate the eating during the eating.
-
Looks like a lesson in portion control is needed!
-
Too funny
-
Hmmm, last bird looks lots like me trying to make up my mind - to eat, or not to eat????
Funny.
-
Bookart - Happy Birthday!!!
I thought that having reported in yesterday I might start this week being better but it hasn't happened - this rut I'm stuck in is really deep - I'm eating for Ireland at this stage - please can anyone throw me a lifeline?????
Heeellllpppp!!!
