thanks sweaty, knew u'd know the amount. I totally agree that I'm sick of snow. We never get snow like this at this tiem of year it's always later when we know it will melt. Somehow I think this is going to be in my way for a few weeks at least.

If this snow ever melts and the tempeture ever gets above freezing, I might try to walk it. I haven't gone on a long walk in God knows how long.
Looking forward to seeing everybody!

Is anyone going to the Bowling event?
-
Hi all -- I've marked my calendar for Feb 5 and look forward to meeting you at Lemongrass Grill. What's the bowling event?
-
cookie- nudge, nudge. are you there????
so who do we definitely have for the 5th?
-
Hi Flash....not sure if I will be in town that weekend. If I can make it I will let you know. Hope you are well!!!
-
Hi Flash,
I have you all in my calendar. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone. The only thing is that I am still undergoing chemo (1 chemo left on the 10th of February) and if I have nasty residual side effects on the Saturday of our meeting, I might not be able to come to the city at all. But I am thinking good thoughts and hoping that it won't happen. Meaning that all my side effects will subside by the time we meet. Though, the end of Ferbruary or the beginnig of March would have been a little better for me to meet, as I had gotten weaker and weaker with each infusions I had been getting so far, but I really really would like to meet you all and i'll try to pull myself together by then. -----Only one more chemo to go, hooray!

Katia, I hope you're feeling well by the 5th! Wow, only one more chemo! Hang in there -- and I hope to meet you!
-
Thanks CityKitty. I hope to meet you and all the other ladies as well. I am really really really trying to hang in there, diarrhea and all..... Thanks.
-
Happy St. Agatha's Feast Day!!!! Hopefully we can get some of her "official" pastries for the gtg.
Katiaw - best of luck w the chemo!
-
I'm planning a trip to Bensonhurst for St. Agatha's booby pastries on Friday... can we get a head count? And isn't it amazing that we are actually meeting on her day, Feb. 5?
-
I'm really going to try to make it. I will be getting in that afternoon so it will be close. I gotta see the booby pastry!!!!!
-
Weather permitting, and if the LIRR is back up and running again I'll be there! I just love the pastry idea! Whoda thunk it with the get togeter being on St. Agatha's Feast Day! Here I thought it was only my brother's birthday.
-
I'm going to call the bakery tomorrow and pick up the St. Agatha's boobies Friday. Looks like CityKitty, SweatySpice, possibly Cookiegal, Tweetybird, Flash, Katiaw, OG56 and me. Did I miss anyone?? Jump in and let me know! I'll probably round up the number. And to be honest Mallomars look exactly like tiny boobs to me!
-
so what do you think. Are we going to have more snow on sat?????? geeeesh. I'm coming into nyc come he.. or high water. Going stir crazy.
regards,
flash
-
I've never heard of St Agatha or her day! I was raised Catholic but didn't really practice after age 12. I'll have to Google her! Too funny about the Mallomars. I haven't seen one in a while, but to my recollection they bear a striking resemblance to my plumped up tissue expander!
-
Looks like the weather is going to be a repeat of Wedensday! Grrrrrrrrrrr...........
I'm also starting to go stir crazy. I'm just hoping that the weather people are wrong. It seems like the only thing that I've been doing is digging out and going to work.
-
well, I'm going to be there no matter what. cell if anyone needs it:

I am going to be at a pharma conference at the Javits in late March if any NYC sistahs wanna meet up one night...
-
Gonna try to make it...is this on Lexington???
-
I'm set for today! To confirm: 4 p.m., Lemongrass Grill, 138 E 34th St, should be near NYU cancer Ctr, correct?
Let's hope the weather doesn't get horrible! Can't wait to meet y'all! -
The weather is looking so so here. It's been sleeting all morning, when it was suppose to be all rain by now. *sigh* Not looking good for me.
-
At work across from Grand Central. Restaurant is on 34th betw Lex and 3rd, just a few doors west of the NYU cancer ctr. Rain (more like mist, really) in Manhattan. No weather worries once you're here.
Tweety, if you can get to and from your local LIRR sta you'll be fine.
Edited to add: HAPPY ST AGATHA'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!
-
Ditto on Sweaty's weather report - not bad at all here. And I went to Bensonhurst yesterday for St. Agatha's pastries - they look yummy!
-
It changed over to rain here, and with all the rain and snow melting there's a chance of some big time flooding in Bayville, and if I end up leaving there's a good chance that I might not be able to get back home. There's only 1 way in and out of town, that is along Oyster Bay Harbor, and they usually close that road down with any little chance of flooding.
I'll be taking a rain/snow check, and hope to meet up with you all at the next get together.
-
It's coming down a little harder now, but I'm heading in.
St Agatha has pastries? Who knew?! (I Googled it...um, interesting!!)
-
wohoooooooooooooooooooooooo. Thank you all for coming in. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. cookie- you get the award for the longest commute! so glad you were able to make it city and giraffe. Kitchen and Sweaty, next time, I get to sit near you so we can chat more.
So, your mission (and this means all of you) is to find another place that we can take over and camp out for a few hours. any ideas?
hugs all.

It is "survivorwoman" aka "giraffe" here. (Flash, "giraffe" was taken, so my new name is "survivorwoman", which fits too, as I am about to survive the LAST chemo this coming Thursday.
Wow! I had a lot of fun tonight. I had a smile when I came home and my DH said that he had not seen me smiling since October. He said THANK YOU to all of you Ladies for making me smile again.
It was great meeting you all and Flash -- Thank you so much for dinner.
Yeah, let's find another place to meet again. I need more cheering up. Love ya all!
