    badger,

Going to put that wrap on my "to try" list for dinners.. and yes, I can see it with the portobellos for my husband and I and without for my son!

I say the weather here in the Northeast is cold but, we lived for 5 years in MN and I must say, we have NOTHING on you all from the mid-west!! I have never felt any weather as cold as THAT in all my born days!! LOVED the people that we met there but, YIKES, those extremes of super cold in the winter AND ironically, the high heat in the summer was definitely new to us!

I can totally understand where any goverment building is on a bit of high alert given the recent happenings in AZ.  Hopefully they will get used to seeing you there walking and you won't even raise an eyebrow when you arrive to walk!!

Sorry about the late check in, busy day.  Another Board meber and I cooked an all you can eat crab feed for oall the other volunteers at the Senior Center today.  One of my clients brought me 100 lbs of crab today.  That's a lot of crab to cook in one day. I'm dead on my feet.

weight upto 157 and not bouncing up and down.  exercise 4 hours.  fruit and vegie intake steady at 3 servings a day.

    Good Night

The crab was dungenes,  usually considered the best in the world by those who have eaten it no matter where they have traveled or where they're from. Smile

It's to cold outside and I decided not to work in the yard.. cloudy with wind isn't fun when it does that! So, I thought I would get out my hula hoop and give it a spin. I've gotten so I can get the thing spinning for about 5 min at at time. Don't know how any calories it will burn, but I just try and see how long I can keep it going.... kinda like one/upping my record Wink

I agree with Faithie that Chabba needs an extra point for cooking all that crab... I'm thinking I hope the people at the senior center weren't crabby waiting for theirs to cook! Sometimes they get very impatient and that was a major treat.

Thanks ladies.  We were ready to serve when the other volunteers arrived.  As the first few served themselves the last 3 or 4 crab were cleaned.

Give me a day or so to get the team scores all tallied and up by the team names, unless I hear otherwise from the team leaders.  This has been a strange evening and out of the blue I thought that I forgot to post my stats for the week, although I was all over this thread yesterday.  I have everything written down in the other room, but DS is spending the night so I will get it tomorrow, i don't want to disturb him.

I should have been ecstatic to announce I hit an all time E-lab low at 162.2.  It was probably a fluke, but I will keep my fingers crossed that it isn't.  I have a couple of stessful weeks ahead, and hope I can keep the momentum through it all.

Thank you Meece for all you do here, this is a lot to track.  Congrats on your PB (personal best) and best wishes for the next few weeks.  Sending strong positive vibes your way!

In the point system notation above, for daily water, I think we set 32 oz of water as the min?

The track where I walk was closed yesterday for a meet, and it was too cold to walk outside, so I wandered around (Super)Walmart for an extra 1/2 hour.  Good job everyone and {{hugs}} to all

p.s. have fun Suz in the DR - soak up some sun for all us warmth-deprived sisters OK? Cool

    Thanks Badger!!! Go Packers!!!!

I have nabbed this picture from our very own SoCal Lisa's FB page. She is a brilliant photographer among other amazing capabilities, and I thought that it would offer some glorious encouragement to our team specifically, but hopefully to the whole LAB, too!

My partner and I took the dogs for a very short walk at the lake yesterday - I pooped out fast and now I'm back in bed.  I forget how much pneumonia takes it out of ya.  I did teach my class Thursday night - 1 hour drive, then 5 hour class, then 1 hour drive home.  I did pretty well, so I thought I was on the mend.  Not so much.  Pooey.

bookart--one of my collegues had pneumonia last semester, and she kept trying to work through it.  finally she ended up at home on bedrest with threat of hospitalization if she didn't rest!  She's said the same thing about the recovery, too.  She had to alternate days of doing things with days of rest for couple of months.

I trying to find a picture of a roadrunner.... they've got thin legs right? And they run rather than fly?

We have sandhill cranes here and they've got the longest, thinnest legs. With me at 5'4" I'll probably have to wait for that next lifetime to be that tall but trying for the thin....

Nativemainer - I have the uphill battle with the thyroid issues so sometime I eat the same and exercise the same but the weight just moves uphill or doesn't change. It does get frustrating. Good luck with this weeks workouts. I'm trying everything to get the muscles moving, then I stub my toes on the space heater in the bathroom, ugh. My little toe is really sore and started to go black and blue. Put arnica on it right away and did a splint. ARG. No walking on the treadmill for me today.

Feel better soon Book Art, take care and don't over do.

Meecie, I'll be thinking of you and hoping the stress isn't too bad over the next few weeks.

Congratulations to your Green Bay Packers Badger.

Thanks for the well wishes on my trip.  We leave at 7 am from Detroit tomorrow morning.  I am anticipating being able to get online at the resort but if not, could one of the Robins please summarize our team points on Saturday?  Thanks so much.

I'll toast all of you and try to send some warmth up north.

    Meece,

So sorry to hear all that is going on in your life right now :( No fun! I am thinking about you...

Also, I am depressed, seriously gaining weight horribly! Too embarrassed to share how bad it is! I just foind out they put steroids in my zometa infusion... urrghh.

Anyway, this is so small in comparison to life issues!

    HUGS!

Your issues are important to you, Nicole.  And that matters!  It is so good to see you here!  Can I put you in the flock and see if we can't give you some support?  I think about you, I see your name in my cell phone and wonder how you are.

Let me know if there is anything you need.

Thanks ladies! If you put me on this, I need to be honest and share, I am up to 175 lbs! I get discouraged because the scale does not seem to go in the direction I need it to, even when I try and be good... with this said, I can always be BETTER!

    Thanks for the continued support.

    xoxo

    Nicole
