- Thank you Elaine!!!
- We've had TWO great winters up here the two times we bought a snow blower....sigh...so I know what you mean. Had to take one for the team$$$$
-
Oh you girls! I love the thing about the snow blower keeping the snow at bay! he he
Snow has melted in parts her today, but there is more to come next week. Am in bed, good eye fading so must get some of those ZZZZZZZZZZ.. just realizing today, how tricky it will be to organize and manage things without proper sight on Tuesday, wednesday and perhaps Thursday. Especially with Special needs DS 1/2 school Wednesday and DD church Rainbows event on the Tuesday of my eye opp.(It's on my good eye, the other eye is full of retinal scarring so not much use). I know it will be fine, just lots to prepare my DS for. Such a shame my DH will be away all week. Still in these time, blessed is the man who has a good job, so no real complaints!
Enough of my temporary tricky bits.do hope you are all as brilliant as you can be today and that pains in all their forms are ignoring you this weekend.
Oh, you should see DS getting more and more accustomed to the kitty kats, it is such a beautiful sight to see him playing with them. He is a little terrified of their claws, but has discovered he can play "safely" with them by moving his hands under the duvet and they pounce on trying to "catch" him. He is ever so protective of them.
Stay brilliant Bunnies- Here's to a Peaaaachy Sunday for all of you.
xx Shiny

Ohhhh Shiny!
I wish the pond wasn't so big between us. I could lend you a hand next week. I'm sure we'd all get along just fine.......kiddos, Coonie, kitties..........LOL
And now..........you should REALLY be in bed now
-
I am so muchly comforted when this thread gets all active and we hear from so many dust bunnies.
My NYC "tour" ended up being all together brilliant. Particularly in that we parked the car in NYC for three over nights and it reamined safe & unblemished. I could never ever, even consider such an under-taking without the blessed participation of my dear hubby at the wheel.
He got us safely to each site, found the parking, navigated us thru all of the cabs, the one way streets and honking delivery people The big city is amazing -- the sights breath-taking.
Our stay in Little Italy was glorious. It's so much fun to be a tourist & be impressed with every detail. The weather truly cooperated. When we were in the city & walking about it was sunny (tho very cold) and the day we were at the school out on Long Island it poured rain sideways -- but we were in the building safely before it started.
Shiny. How did I miss your announcement for surgery?? Sending you peachie encouragement in the face of frustrations. So glad that your DS is making friends with the kitties.
Arnie. How is your daughter?? How's your neighbor?? How are you, dearest??
Coonie. What on earth did your daughter do to be assigned a whole second raft full of children? She must be slightly unhinged by such an increase. Glad she had the first little bit of time to get her feet under her. Goodness gracious.
Barbe. Are you getting settle in?? We're in the midst of ruckin' our place up, but good and piles are everywhere. Your grace in the process gives me hope.
Kathleen. Always good to see you sweetie. What plans do you have for the holidays ahead?
Nancy. How about you dearie??
Lucy. Great news about the hubby. May this next year ahead be consistent for him.
Sharon. Always grateful to see you. Love that you're taking such good care of our KK.
xx00xx00xx00xx
It's such a bad thing to even consider making a list.
A to Z and back again..... much love to each and every bunny -- past, present & future.

I am getting kind of anxious to hear about Arnies DD....anyone hear on another thread?????
-
Sorry ladies... I kind of passed out today... took a looooonnnnng nap. dd is doing better, got her out of the hospital and she seems to be keeping things down. She was extremely dehydrated and they still haven't decided whether it was one doc raising her dosage on one medication and the other starting her on a new one... maybe an adverse reaction. Or a virus that they can't identify... anyway, just soo glad she's on the mend.
Shiny ((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))) bless your heart, I'm with Coonie... wish we could come and help!
Faith, NYC sounded FABULOUS!!!! I was there only once with my best girlfriend and we had a ball. Loved Radio City Music Hall and all the other sites...
Barbe, Coonie, Kathleen, Sharon and all you other dustbunnies... I'm hoping we all have a blessed and "quiet" hehehehe Sunday.... xoxoxo
-
SO relieved to hear that news Arnie.
Hugs Dusty Buns.
I'm picking up a new dog today. So less time for housework and more need to do it. I hear dogs shed, hehehe
. I'll be knitting everyone hairy hats for Christmas.
-
Woo Hoo!!!! Can you post a pic?!? I love getting new pets... although mine are getting old.. haven't had a new one in a long time! Have fun!
Hope everyone has a blessed Sunday....
-
Shiny ... best luck on your surgery. I am with Coonie and Arnie - so wish we could come help you and finally meet you, DS and DD.
Coonie ... hi! Just sitting around on Sunday morning. My brother came over last night, along with me nephew, and help my sister put up and decorate her Christmas tree - hard to believe another year has come and is going out rapidly.
Arnie ... good news about DD. I had a doctor start me on two new medicine which caused unexpected vomiting! I would be perfectly fine one second and the next second I would be making a mad dash for the bathroom! Problem went away when I stopped the new meds.
Faith ... NYC does sound wonderful. The first time I was there I was amazed at how many cabs there were on the streets! My plans are the traditional Christmas Eve dinner at my cousin's house and then Christmas Day dinner at my younger sister's house. We're busy Christmas shopping (I'm doing mine from the computer). I can't stand crowds of people pushing, shoving and knocking into you preparing for this "day of peace." I much prefer to give to less fortunate people and worship the Lord. I don't mean to sound pious but I have always pondered why we put up a tree in the living room and buy presents for everyone in order to celebrate Jesus' birthday?!
Sharon ... what kind of dog? I am so excited for you!
Barbe ...pray all is going well for you. What a fun Christmas you will have with your two new grandchildren! Babies are the best!
To all dust bunnies - hi!
-
(((((((((((((((((Kathleen)))))))))))))) I'm watching Random Harvest on TCM... love the old movies... lol
-
Thanks for the update Arnie, it's scary when we hear the bad news and then you don't show up to let us know that there is good news....whew!
-
Sorry Barbe.... I'll tell ya the last two weeks, what with the neighbor's fire, a friend's suicide and then my dd, I took a Valium yesterday and passed out.... I just got off the phone with dd and she's still weak but feeling more and more like herself.... I'm soooooooo thankful.
xoxoxo
-
Oh Arnie, I missed the news of the suicide...how tragically sad!!!!
-
Yes, young man very confused.... been praying for his parents...
-
Holy Moly ... all kinds of things going on! Hugs and healing to everyone.
-
Hi all,
Can you add my friend in all your prayers and thoughts today?
She has the BRCA gene, has lost 1 sister to BC and the other was diagnosed around the same time as me. They have found something on her ovaries and operating today.
Hugs to all,
Viv
-
Viv, what is her name so I can pray with direction....you know, rather than, there's this sheila in oz that needs some care....
Otherwise, she is in my prayers tonight!
-
Her name is Jenny.
Thank you as she is very dear to me and has support me so well
-
I wrote a Christmas song about her. It's sung to the tune of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen:
Come test Lee, Mary, Jen and Gwen,
Let no bone go unscanned.
Remember to drink all the fluids,
So tests can go as planned.
(I'm working on more, maybe.)
-
Prayers going up for Jenny...
Barbe... so cool...
-
LOL Barbe we need more verses.
Arnie did they say what your DD had? Was it just a virus?
((((Jenny)))
-
Arnie ... so sad - I read once that "suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem." I also pray for his parents. Jenny is in my prayers too.
Barbe ... the song is great - I was humming "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlement" as I read your words.
My anxieties are especially high as the holidays approach - I think it is the thought of being with the whole dysfunctional family! God, please grant me patience!
-
Yesterday I drove to my daughters new house to drop off some dishes, utensils for her new kitchen.Had no problem getting there. But when I lleft her driveway must of turn left instead of right ended up totally lost and driving in circles.Felt like a fool is this what I have to look forward to?
A little concerned since my mom has 3rd stage Alzheimers but she is in her 80's
-
There's stages of Alzheimers??? What, did someone go around and co ordinate all the diseases?
How much do you forget?
A bit.
You're stage one.
How much do YOU forget?
Who are you?
You're stage three.
-
Thinking of you all and sending along my bestest peeeeeachy vibes to all the bunnies.
I can see again! It was just two days with my patch on my good eye, but it sure made things interesting! Bless my kiddywinks for being so helpful. Healing very nicely.
Have got to go queue up at 5 in the a.m (at the latest) to get my dear DD into swiming classes for January .. ohh, that is in 5 hrs and 20 mins! I best get some zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Big hug to all those in need of one. Wish you could get the real thing. Am a good hugger apparently!(according to my kiddos anyhow!)
