LOL MONA YES IT WAS QUITE BRAVE OR JUST PLAIN DUMB!
AWWW THANK YOU LILAH!!! I THINK THE SWELLING SHOULD BE DOWN ALOT! FINGERS CROSSED!!!
LAURA, YEARS AGO I GOT ACCIDENTALLY HIT IN THE NOSE WITH A SUITCASE AND IT NEVER QUITE LOOKED THE SAME AFTER THAT. SO I GOT MY DEVIATED SEPTUM AND MY BRIDGE FIXED. MINOR SURGERY BUT I HOPE I DONT STILL LOOK LIKE IVE BEEN IN A BAR FIGHT BY FRIDAY. IF I DO THAN ATLEAST YOU KNOW WHY.
IT WILL STILL BE SWOLLEN BUT I SHOULDNT SCARE ANYONE! LOL

Val -- they pretty much charge for everything in Vegas but then dole it back to you "free" if you are a gambler with a player's club card (which they use to keep track of your gambling). That said, as someone has already pointed out, you get a HUGE workout in Vegas with all the walking. Just to go through a casino can often be like a mile hike!
Katey -- have a WONDERFUL visit with your DD and I look forward to meeting you on Friday! Wooo hooo!!!!!!
Trace -- can't wait to meet ya and who cares if you look a little bruised
Glad you got that problem fixed!
Jancie -- you crack me up! Can't wait to sit with you at the nickel machines.
Jazzy -- glad you are feeling better! I am ahead of you on the curve (feeling GREAT!) and have to say by Friday you should be just fine and dandy and ready to PART-AY!
Hugs to all!
-
Lilah - agree with walking through the casino - I remember the hike at New York, New York just to get to the piano bar. Oh and dancing until 3 am - that will be the workout for the entire weekend!
Laundry is almost all done. Meeting with my therapist at 3 pm. Tomorrow need to go the bank and get cash and stash all of my bling. Ladies - be very careful with any bling while in Vegas. There are so many predators looking for women who have been drinking and next thing you know a nice necklace can be torn off your neck. I am leaving my rock here and just wearing a simple wedding band.
Need to still buy some tennis shoes - mine ended up at the barn too many times so they aren't looking so hot and need to buy a purse that zips up closed!
-
jancie, good idea leaving the "rocks" at home....
OK...now I feel better....friend loaned me her carry-on so I don't have to cut the wheels off of mine....hehehehe.....
-
I guess the rooms have safes? I'm supposing that it's "safe" to leave your bling in there? I was looking forward to bringing some bling to accessorize, but maybe I have to rethink this....
OK, now I'm starting to get nervous...I'm leaving on Thursday and haven't packed or planned what I'm wearing yet. I have to clean the house cuz I have guests coming on Monday that will already be here when I arrive! Think hubby can keep the house clean while I'm gone???........lol
Linda: Good news about the bag... I have the same problem with handles etc so I'm just going to check my bag.
OH no !!!!!!!!! How many more hours???????????
Terri
-
Yes the rooms have safes Terri.
-
My friend says that they fly Delta all the time and the bag she loaned me works every time...no checking bag.
WOOOHOOOO did a test on my packing and I can fit my FAN in there...my best bud is coming to Vegas with me...wonder if I will need an extension cord?????
I did put back the shoes I was gonna wear with the dress but I have a pair of sandles that will do just fine...also put back 1 pair of denim capri's..and a top.... Will wear my Nike mules on the trip out. Decided I needed those in case me and Joyce (Hood1980) go out at the crack of dawn for a walk.
2.5 days
-
Well if you and Joyce go out at the crack of sparrowfart, be quiet about it...If I am up, it will be because I haven't gone to bed yet!!
-
Judy - LOL - I am right there with you! Luckily my roomies are so very nice and quiet in the mornings that they don't even wake me up!
-
Judy, I'm right there with you - am not an early rise at all... Crack of sparrowfart, I need to remember that one.
-
I am bringing the big guns in sleep meds, because two of my roomies, which ones you can only guess, are well-known for their late night rabble-rousing....
Just kidding of course. [About the sleep meds I mean - not about the rabble rousing.] I will be dozing in and out of sleep until all of my girls are in beddy-bye...
-
Whippetmom - are you rooming with Jazzy?
-
How many of you are arriving on Thursday and meeting at Planet Hollywood...
-
Judy....we may be like ships passing in the night......I can be as quiet as a mouse....now I don't know about Joyce but I am sure she is quite to because she is already worried about getting up and disturbing the late sleepers...that is why she wants to get out and exercise.
-
I am arriving Thursday and will meet for drinks at PH. Can't wait! Karen

Great!!!! Jazzy is better.
-
Yep, I noticed Tracey didn't get it right but I'm not going to bash her since she is my roomie and has agreed to give me the bed closest to the cold air so that I can deal with my hot flashes a little bit better. I need to take some major sleep meds or I will be tossing and turning and keeping Firstmate up all night.
Laura - I agree - this trip will continue year after year after year and I love the fact that I went the first year (last year). I know we will all have a total blast. Commando????? Ummmm.....with the heat in Las Vegas that is not such a bad idea after all
