    Is anyone flying US-Air. I just checked thier website and it looks like they charge for your luggage. I just flew US-Air in May when we went to Mexico and I know we didn't pay any baggage fees.

    US Air charges for the first bag checked. $20 if not checked in online. They are awful!  JUDY

    If there is a Wife of The Year Award I will NOT be winning it this year!!

    My poor DH had to have 6 teeth (ABSOLUTELY GOOD TEETH) pulled yesterday (he is having some radiation on his neck and the teeth pulling is preventative if you can imagine that) and I am leaving town for Vegas with the BC Ladies.  Out of sheer guilt (no I did not ask him if he wanted me to stay home because he might have said "yes" although probably not but why take the chance) I assigned my daughter, sister and friends certain days of the week(end) that they need to stop by and check on him.  Will have to make this up somehow . . .

    Can't wait to see all of you!!!  Colleen

    I'm all finished packing except for a few last minute things (my running shoes and iPod!)  Now I can relax with DS tomorrow night and give him some extra lovin.

    Linda, I'm bringing my oatmeal w/cinnamon, flax seed, wheat germ and walnuts on the plane in a baggie and asking the flight attendant for hot water!  I HATE airline/airport food.  It's such garbage.

    I am such a cheapskate - yep....nickle slots.

    I need a travel purse that zips, my wallet has seen better days, my tennis shoes have been to the barn for too long and I am tired of having to look everywhere for a backpack - seems like everytime I go out of town there isn't one available and I can't take my stepson's because he needs it for school.

    I went to Walmart (I never shop at Walmart but it was close to the bank) and got tennis shoes ($12.00), purse ($12.00), wallet ($10.00), and backpack ($9.00) all for just $45!!!  

    I figure I have cleaned out dh's bank account so much already for this trip between my new wardrobe, hotel, airfare, transportation, food, etc. so I didn't want to spend much at all.  I did forget to get a smaller size of my shampoo so I guess I will resort to using hotel shampoo.

    My suitcase is out - the essentials are in there already - Linda54's Viva Las Vegas t-shirt, the framed sign from last year, toothbrush and toothpaste.  I HAD to make sure to pack those items without fail!

    Tomorrow I have 3 women over for lunch - what in the heck was I thinking?  Spent all day cleaning house, going to the bank and walmart and now I am going back upstairs to bake a cake.

    I cancelled on my horse trainer - told her to go ahead and ride my horse - I just didn't have the energy or time today since I have a luncheon tomorrow and need to finish packing.

    Ladies - we are getting really close!!!

    wooohooo Mona...you have given me a great idea about the oatmeal...except I do not have the instant oatmeal.  My flight leaves at 9:30a so I could cook my oatmeal at home and take it with me and eat it while waiting.  I will leave my house around 6am and I do not want to eat that early.

    I am also stuffing my purse with Kashi Granola bars and a bag of grapes and anything else I can get in there.

    I am flying Delta and the charge is $25 for 1 suitcase each way...$50 bucks sister...I want that money to spend on something else.  I have done well with packing my carry-on. I don't need much.....My swimsuit cover-up is doubling as my robe when I get out of the shower....my flipflops for the pool area are also my slippers. We have to think outside the box when packing light.

    I am sitting on ready....

    I don't do instant oatmeal either.  Old Fashioned Oats for me.  Just ask for really hot water and mix it all in really well.

    Linda54 - a friend of mine flew Delta last October and because of "Pink" - they upgraded her free to first class.  She didn't have much hair at the time.  I am going to play the cancer card and see if they will waive my baggage in the very least.  I am going to ask for a free upgrade to first class - after all - doesn't hurt to ask - all they can do is say "no".

    I hate Kiosk check in's!!  I much rather go to the desk and talk to someone.  Now I am wondering if checking in will be a problem because my dh paid for this from his AE travel rewards and he has the credit card and I am not on the AE account.  Don't they want to see the credit card used to purchase the ticket?  Or is an e-ticket good enough?  You can tell I only travel a couple of times per year so I am not great at it.

    Ok Ladies, going to bed because I have to get up at 4:30 to get to the airport for 6am!!! It's almost happening !!!!!!! I'm so excited I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep a wink!

    DEBORAH...THE LAST NAME IS DIAZ. She never posts... She is a member of the ARIZONA crowd driving.

    Please PM EBANN....... she is online often and is in that group... SO IS OUR FIRSTMATE/ROBIN....... maybe she knows..... GOOD LUCK... I already went down that road last week......LOL

    Girls..... I am so happy the time has come.

    I was at the hospital all day with my son... and then off to work.. and now home... I am getting sick... ( I know right????????? BAD TIMING)... my life is as busy as it was before cancer.... and probably the reason I GOT cancer to begin with.....anyway...... I keep a stash of anti-biotics... and I am bringing it with me to Vegas in case I " know" I am getting a sinus infection. I will not be contagious... just my own sinus crap.

    Vegas...... take me away..............

    Jancie- you don't need to be on the american express card--the e-ticket is all you need (along with your driver's license of course)  see you there

    Ladies: I wanted to do something special for you all.. but had NO IDEA what to do ... that would not just " sit" on a shelf in your home...lol... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I thought I could do what I do best... Hair Products...

    I am a Paul Mitchell Focus Salon. We only use PM product... color... perms...etc...

    SO , even though I cannot "do" hair while in Vegas... I can bring you a hair product at my cost...

    So.... if you have favorite Paul Mitchel item... and you pay.... say... $10.00 for it at your Salon.... I can bring it to you... AT MY COST..... ( I get it cheaper than most....) I get 50% off your cost. That would make this 10.00 product  $5.00.. no tax.

    So anyway... if any of you want me to do this.. let me know the product you use... I can only bring 1 product per lady because of the weight in the suit case....

    II work from 9-7pm tomorrow night...PM me what you want... and if I have it... I will bring it for you...:)

    This is all I could think of...LOL.....

    Let me know tonight or tomorrow... as I will fly out of my area EARLY Friday...and will need to see if I have what you want in stock.....

    Blessing my girls...... I may be a mess rushing into Vegas this year... over worked and under slept.... but I will still be rushin to see my girls whom I ADORE !

    We did the scope down the throat today... he had gerd... big deal.

    The thyroid doctor said he is fine

    Colonoscopy the 11th....

    I am tired and he thinks he is crazy.

    There it is Linda... in a nutshell.... I feel so bad for him....

    Keep Jancie away from the wine!!!  Seriously ladies all it takes is 3 glasses and I would be here drunk posting like crazy and ya'll have not seen my drunk post but it is hilarious from what others have told me.

    I think I will stick to the Cape Cods - at least those don't creep up on me so fast.  Ummmm......unless they are double shots. :)

    Tomorrow at 11:00 am I will do my on-line check in.  I leave here Friday at 11:00 am.  Not many hours left!

    I have to catch up with my TV shows so that I have room to record some more.  Right now I am in the middle of Hells Kitchen, then I will watch Judge Judy, Glee and whatever else that I watch that my dh doesn't care for.  Oh yes....Top Chef - Just Desserts is also taping tonight.  I am a trash tv queen.

    I am all packed and ready to go. I board the plane at 6:05 (NJ time) and will land in Vegas at 8:30. They are calling for horrible weather tomorrow in NJ so wish me luck. I hope the weather calms down before my flight. Can't wait to meet everyone.. Hugs to all my sisters... :)
