    Ok for some reason my name wasn't on the Bellagio brunch.  I got confused at first because I was seeing "Melissa" and "Jancie" on the list and thought maybe I was being counted twice but then there is another "Melissa" coming to Vegas.

    Ya'll - just keep calling me Jancie like you did last year because I will answer to that name Cool  It would feel odd if ya'll called me by my real name after all of this time.

    I was hung over to the max and yes...I left early and went to bed for a little bit but I still enjoyed the company and the food!  It was all PackerGirl and Sandy Sunshine's fault for getting me so blitzed at the piano bar Yell  and then making me walk 1 hour back to the hotel.   Heck, I am in for more torture again this year!  Bring it on LADIES!

    My poor sis has been trying to conceal her large breasts for so long.  :-(  The doc took out 4 pounds of breast tissue!!!!  SHE IS JUST BEAMING!!!!

    Hi everyone...well I will give this another shot.  I found a super cheap ticket so Im thinking about coming out by myself.  Problem is I have no where to sleep LOL Frown

    Anyone have need another roomy?  I haven't cancelled my room at the mgm grand yet and thats only 300 for 3 nights....So if someone would like to do that, it would only be 150 a piece for the weekend.

    Saskie - last year we had 1/2 of the number - around 25 people.  What was great was that everyone was very considerate of one another and showed up at the events on time.  We set up meeting places (i.e. lobby, 1st floor, revolving doors) at a certain time and would all leave to go to the scheduled event as a group.  We took limos - 9 people per limo and the cost was around $7 per person which was the same rate as taking a regular cab. 

    So having a big group is doable as long as everyone is on the same page.  Changes to the schedule was passed through via text messages, etc. by Laura and others.

    Lilah - I hate playing hostess.  I am more than happy to give that responsiblility to someone else Wink  I am extremely insecure in this area - always wondering if people are going to be happy, have a good time, etc. and it stresses me out to the max!   I would much rather sit back - pay the money and enjoy the show!  

    This group of ladies know how to plan a PARTY!!!  I am very appreciative of their hard efforts and long hours that it takes to get this going each year.

    :)... Honestly... if I did not have my fingers in it.. .. THAT would make me insecure.  Hubby says I don;t have an insecure bone in my body... WELL.... watch me sit back and NOT be a part of the organizing and helping people  ( JANCIE..lol) feel safe and "ok" with it all... then you see a very very insecure ME! :)

    Jancie..  you said it right when you said it was ALL THE TATA's who made it all run smooth... I think my cell phone rang/buzzed every 20 min. that first day..:).... but you know what...STEPHANNIE AND GISELA had this so planned out.. that we all knew what our day held. I personally had nothing to do with all that... they were AMAZING!

    Girls.. our trip is upon us...I will say.. I am so happy to be spending it with YOU !

    Again.. I will be gone to Vegas soon.. for a week... so I will not be on the boards.

    I will be posting the entire MEET AND GREET at the airport about mid Sept.

    IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR FLIGHT PLANS TO ME... We/I will have no idea when you are coming.. thus... will not be able to plan to wait for you.

    It is decision time, we have to figure out if Friday night we are going to go to La Scena in the Venetian and pay $8.50 per person for  a table or go there without paying and not have a table.  The other option is we can try to get Coyote Ugly to take us as a guest and no cover charge.  Please give me your thoughts throughout the weekend and Annie (thank you, thank you) and I will figure it out.

    If we are doing the $8.50 cover charge we need to agree how many tables we are going to reserve and somebody to collect the money.  Thank you all for your help and I cannot wait to see you in Vegas.

    Gisella - I don't have any experience with either place.  Does one have better seating and/or entertainment than another?

    I have no experience of either place but I think since we are such a LARGE group we are better off going where we can get tables reserved and $8.50 apiece isn't that much to pay for the pleasure.

    Just an FYI regarding the choice between La Scena and Coyote Ugly - the main differences are:

    * Table charge at La Scena with 6 ppl to a table (the table charge will go towards drinks at the table so it would probably cover your first drink) / probably no cover at Coyote Ugly but no tables reserved.

    * Live band playing at La Scena / jukebox type music at Coyote Ugly

    * Have to commit to a definite arrival time at La Scena or lose the tables and deposit / no time constraint at Coyote Ugly

    If the majority of responses are for La Scena, the deposit would have to be paid up front for all ladies (around $350 or $400 depending on attendance) to the club and then we would have to collect the money from individuals to pay back the depositor.

    Gisella - I know Coyote Ugly is fun but might be too loud to really talk in there with one another.  Seems like we will get lost so to speak.  That is my only thought regarding the two sites mentioned.  Doesn't matter to me to pay a cover charge at either place.

    Laura - I was going to put down Melissa as my real name but we have another Melissa coming this year so I figured it would be best for everyone to continue to call me Jancie.  Or you could refer to me as the short/fat Melissa Undecided  I haven't lost all of my chemo pounds and I was so hoping to have a "figure" this year but alas....not going to happen unless I can find a way to lose 20 lbs in 1 month.  I still can't exercise due to my hip problem.

    I like the idea of reserved areas.  I don't know if this is of concern but bars have a maximum of people allowed due to fire codes.  We are a group of almost 50 women.  Not sure we could all get into Coyote Ugly at the same time.  The girls that went there last year - speak up and let us know.  A group went there and another group went to Freemont Street on Sunday last year.
