Baby it's cold outside

Soccer tournament-no shade-103! I'm burnt & melted!
-
9:08 pm and 83 degrees. We are heading to the desert tomorrow to visit a friend. Supposed to be 103 there.
-
Another hot day today. at 8:30 am it is already 80 degrees.
-
6:15 and 72. Looks like it will be hotter here today.
-
12:15 pm and 88 degrees with 100% humidity. Pool time later.
-
Thank goodness for living in Western Wa. Supposed to be 82 today. All of you take care of yourselves. The heat and humidity can get you before you realize it!
-
It was 108° in the desert today. I couldn't believe how quyickly I could drink a bottle of water. Made me feel like we came home to the artic at only 98° at 5:00.
-
It is 9:40 pm and the outside temp is 84°! Humidity 33% and dewpoint 52° (I really have no idea what the dewpoint means, but humidity is just uncomfortable.
-
Meece, dew point is the temperature where the dew will form on the grass. The higher the dewpoint the higher the humidity. When we have dewpoint over 60 it is really humid. At 6:45 am it is 74 degrees with dewpoint 72 and humidity at 89%, boy what I would do for 33% humidity!
My son and I decided we would start walking every morning around 6:45/7:00 a. He has signed up for an 8:00 am class that starts next month and he had trouble during the winter quarter making the 8:00 am class. I am hoping that our walking program will motivate him to make it to class on time.

Thank you for explaining, Sheila. You can probably tell that we don't get much moisture here, especially in the Summer.
-
We had a sunny weekend so we spent most of it doing yard work. Today it is cold and foggy so I have a fire in the fireplace. What is wrong with this picture???
-
It is cool here, too. 3:00 and only 93°! I need to take a drive North for a visit. I love being cuddled up by a fireplace. DH, however, like to thave the fan on him when I light the fireplace. Something wrong when I am cuddled under a quilt and DH is wearing a t-shirt and shorts.
-
We had major thunder storm last night, started around 8:00 pm and when I went to bed at 10:30 there was still some thunder and lightning going on. My son said it was still raining but no lightning around 12:30 am. More storms predicted for the next couple of days.
-
Our forecast states "abundant sunshine for the next 10 days. I just noticed that all the posts show the time in EST. I didn't think it was always that way. Duh, have I always just overlooked that?
-
hello ladies. I'm back from my mini vacation in Columbus, Ohio. It was very hot and humid there. It's nice to come north where it's only in the upper 80's rather than the upper 90s of this past weekend in Ohio.
Ok, strange, strange dream about this thread. I dreamed that there was a blizzard here this week. I couldn't believe we had a blizzard this week and it was in the 90s on the weekend. Then I thought (in my dream) I have to run to my computer to complain to my friends on the "baby it's cold outside" thread. Geesh, I hate snow and like the heat, don't know why I had that dream but it proves that you all mean a lot to me!!!!
-
We missed you while you were gone. Glad to know you missed us too.
ave you been keeping up with DC, Suz? It has been good.
-
Coud cover has kept the temps under 90 today which is good. temp is in the upper 80's, high humidity and more thunder storms are building in the area. Last night the storms knocked out the computer network at the office.
Suzette, isn't it strange how things seemingly unimportant pop up in our dreams? That sounds sort of like the story line of 'Inception'.
Sheila
-
Nooooooooooooooooooo, no spoilers for "Inception", please.
-
LOL. If Inception has blood and guts in it then I'm not seeing it so I know I won't spoil it. Although, Sheila, if you think I should see it cause there's no blood and guts then let me know! Glad it cooled down to the upper 80s for you. We're at a beautiful 81 degrees. Tomorrow in the 90s again and then upper 70s and low 80s for the next few days.
Meece, I have been watching DC and it's been very good - very sad too. Can't wait for the season end show tonight. I hope it isn't a series end though. I'm so addicted to this show.
-
I think it will make good watching as the boys struggle to gain the experience to eventually run the boat. THey are sure playing down Jakes rehab, I wonder if he ever went.
-
I wonder too - I wonder if he left rehab when his dad died and didn't go back. It will be interesting.
-
My DH and I have been watching DC, too. I was wondering about Jake's rehab. I hope his dad's death didn't push him way over the edge. What a phenomenal legacy to leave with his kids. True, Phil didn't take the best care of himself, but how many of us have hours of our lives on tape to leave behind to our family?
-
Very True. Plus the boys were able to work with him and spend time with him the last few years of his life. That's very good too. I'd better check my TV guide, is it on for two hours tonight?
-
I'm an admitted Tampa Bay Rays baseball fan. Missed most of DC this series watching baseball. Will catch up later during the year.
Suz, interesting dream. I, too, feel close to all of you. Amazaing how our lives touch each other. Another very hot day today with no rain.
-
It is amazing especially since we live across the country. I love the internet, it has allowed me to meet all of you!
Can't watch baseball reruns but you sure can watch deadliest catch reruns. Somehow I can watch them over and over again.
We're expecting storms tomorrow so won't have to water my plants - haven't had to do that all summer. This has been a wonderful summer in Mid Michigan! We're very lucky.
-
I am going visiting tonight, so we are recording DC. Don't spoil it...
I was really surprised to see the boys' mother. I pictured her as an exotic, middle eastern looking woman.
-
I was surprised to see her too. I won't spoil it but let us know when you've had a chance to watch it so we can discuss!
-
PS: it's 8:50 pm here, it's on in 10 minutes. can't wait!!!
-
Hello everyone! Hot today as Suzette will attest to & tomorrow as well. Looking forward to the 70's, my kind of temps!
I'm a DC fan as well. Very sad about Capt. Phil. I've watched it for the past few years; he was, & always will be, my favorite Capt.
-
Lost my first post, so will try again.
Hello everyone! Very hot today as Suzette can attest to. Hot tomorrow & then the 70's come, my kind of temps.
I am also a fan of DC. Very sad about Capt. Phil. Have been waiting since Jan/Feb & the news of his passing to see this season. He was, & always will be, my Fav. Capt.
