So nice to have you peek in, Seyla. Everyone has been wondering how well you faired on your flight. Hope you didn't stay up too late.
-
I bet a hula dance could shake a pound or two off.
-
Shelia thanks for popping in for a quick "hi" - so nice to hear you are having a great time! YOu have been missed.
-
Shelia ~ As I posted on another thread, glad to hear you are having a wonderful time. As Michelle said above, you have been missed!

I walked past the pretzles at work and didn't take one! Went out to dinner and had fish (instead of pasta) and no dessert. These are big accomplishment for me! Trying to take one day at a time....
Hope you all have a great Wednesday.
-
Jean ~ It takes a lot of willpower, sometimes, to pass by things we normally would have eaten, but we do feel sooo good when we do, don't we? I hope that makes sense!! Congrats on a good day for you!!
My eating was so-so for the day. I'll do better tomorrow I hope.
-
Ditto on the so-so Valjean. I am trying, and hope to be close to my lowest weight here by Friday, but I bounced so far back up, I was in a panic. Felt like trding in my scale!
-
I'm dong great this week but I know this weekend is shot to he!!. Mom's coming and we are going to a BAKERY for breakfast.
-
I know the feeling, PauldingMom, today is my 37th Wedding Anniversary & DH is talking me out to dinner this Sat. I am trying to decide if I will have whatever I want & not worry about the calories or to have something low-cal/healthy off the menu. Decisions-decisions.
-
Valjean--I say enjoy your 37th anniversary. It is a special occasion. As long as you feel OK about it.
UGH...snacked when I came home and now I feel terrible (physically and mentally). Gotta stop this emotional/boredom eating. I was OK all day at work....
-
Valjean - enjoy your anniversary, 37 years is awesome and you both deserve a day to just enjoy each others company.
I have the hardest time with eating when I am at work...at home I don't really pay much attention to food...go figure!
-
Valjean: CONGRATULATIONS!!!
What a wonderful delight to celebrate your anniversary.
Birds. I have to tell you, I have really been behaving this week.
My scale is rewarding me.
Here's my secret.
My hubby is in FL.
There is absolutely no food in the house except some frozen Lean Cuisine type choices.
There is nothing else.
I'd have to eat a magazine if I wanted yummies.
The way I see it is the long haul.
Of course we need to celebrate birthdays & anniversaries & holidays.
Then I must have a cycle where I 'do without' and pass up some decadent morsels.
Can't wait to see the scale on Friday.
I plum tuckered myself out today. Performed from 8:30 a.m. till 3:30. That is a serious bunch of calories burned. The sound system was a dream. The kiddos were a delight. The staff was dressed for "Wacky Wednesday" (all mismatched & hilarious, outragous outfits: toe socks, silly hats.) It was sooooooooooo much fun.
Now I will sit on my derriere for the remainder of the evening and smile at the thought of it all.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
Choose wisely, little birdies.
-
Remember my little E-Lab mice, that we decided early on that special occasions were off limits to dieting. So celebrate your socks off Valjean. You don't even have to check in on Friday if you don't want to. I mean, you put in 37 years, you deserve to celebrate!
-
Hey Valjean! Celebrate your heart out!!! You deserve it... :=) 100% !!!!!!
Nice to hear from you Sheila...
Hope everyone else is having a great week. I have been on the wagon and off again. Still having a little stress in my life, you know work, migraines ( yep, I have them and have had one for the last 24 hrs which totally sucks donkeys!) and then the crazy blood work. Still didn't get my CA27-29 back today. Hmmm... what's up with that? Oh well maybe tomorrow! Stress can sure make you fall off the wagon. Although I'm sure they won't see it my way at the weight center. I may not go weigh in tomorrow as I have a lot to do anyway. I may wait till Friday.
What to do?
Renee

Thank you everyone for the warm Anniversary wishes! Meece, thanks for the reminder of our moratorium on holidays, b-days, anniversaries, I'd forgotten.
faithandfifty ~ Great way to lose weight, do not have the DH in the house! Just kidding, of course! I certainly eat less when my DH is gone for dinner or the like, I always tell him I only cook for him. Not that I don't like to cook/bake, I just would not do it simply for myself.
Also faith, Wacky Wednesday sounds like so much fun! That would have put a smile on my face & in my heart to last a very long time.
Renee ~ I have had excruciating migraines in my day that put me down for hours & hours. I know exactly what you are going through. I have been so bad I have thrown up. Both my DD's have them as well, lucky them to have inherited that from me. As I write this, I hope you are feeling much, much better. I don't get them very often anymore, I'm sure hormones had a LOT to do with it.
good nite birdies!
-
Hello Ladies
DD doesn't have a scale so i don't even know where i am.
Im eating but not terrible way.
Valerie...Enjoy your Anniversary and yes its special occasion enjoy your food.
Hugs
Sheila

Valerie: Happy Anniversary!!!! Have a great time and grab a special moment to appreciate all that the two of you have and share. I'll do an extra push up and 10 minutes on the treadmill for you. If we all pitch in and send it your way you should be able to indulge and get by.
Consider it our gift.
Renee, Ouch, Migraines look and sound so painful. Maybe when this next storm front rolls through it will help.
-
I am feeling pretty good about weigh in today. I stepped on the scale a few minutes ago and it looks like I am close to my low weight again, but then I will have a cup of coffee before I do my official weigh in. I hope it wasn't a fluke, and that the scale will be kind when I re-weigh.
-
Good for you Meece. I think we are over the hump. I lost another pound! Put me down for........drum roll.........161 !!! Still waiting to hit that 159 milestone and then my 145 goal. Even at 145 I'll still be a little heavy but that's where the doctors would like to see me so that's where I'm headed.
-
I went walking at each of my 10-minute breaks yesterday. It isn't much, but it isn't sitting at my desk either!
-
It has to be an error of some sort, but I weighed twice and it was the same. Even moved the scale to make sure it was on an even surface. I have a picture to prove this, but I can't upload it at work.
Drumroll please......
162.6
I am afraid to post this for fear it is wrong. I walked again this morning and have been snacking on fresh carrots. Maybe it is helping.
-
Oh PauldingMom & Meece, I am sooooo happy for you on your loss this week!! YAY!!!!!!
Me, on the other hand, am still short of the top of the hill, so back to the drawing board..... I'm 1.2#'s down from last Friday, but still 1.6#'s more that than elusive 145.6 again. Crapola!
I have upped my work-outs, need to watch my portions more. I did start writing down everything I eat each day & the calories if I know them, that could be what helped me lose that little bit this week.
Drinking my water now.....
-
Better than last week, but my willpower is really "weak", 213 this week.
-
I've just scraped in under 160 - Put me down for 159.83!!!
Val have a really wonderful Anniversary. I'll do 50 crunches for you!!!
Seyla - hope you are enjoying yourself enough for all of us!!!
Meece - Yipee!!
Paulding I look forwrd to your company under 160 next week (fingers crossed I'll still be there and not back up!!!)
Carollynn - Keep it up, every little bit helps and we've all had little hiccoughs along the way.
Hope everyone else is happy today and good luck for the coming week.
-
Yea Meece and Lisa!!! WooHOO!! That is totally awesome it gives me motivation to get back on the wagon. Don't ask me how but with the cheating I've even managed to lose a lb. So I'm in at 151. Of course I still have a long way to go. But I'm ready to climb back into the saddle. haha!!!
Sheila, you behave yourself and have a great time over there in Hawaii...
Has anyone seen or heard from Nicole? Nicole if you are out there we sure miss you around here. I know you are leaving soon for Hawaii yourself. I hope you have a safe and fun trip!!!
Carolyn - you are doing great with the weight loss an ounce or lb at a time like they said every little bit adds up. You can do it. Never give up. The same thing to you Valjean.
Renee

Way. To. Go. Renee. !!!!!
(Had to stop to fan myself - HOT flash big time!)
Anyway, to continue:
Ainm ~ You still amaze me - Congrats on the loss!

HI LADIES. THANK GOD CHRISTINE DOESNT HAVE A SCALE.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL.
HUGS

Well. All the entire week I was below 145.
I was feelin' just a tad bit smug, even.
Like this isn't so hard when ya focus: blah, blah, blah.
Thurs I seriously ate like a bird, to ensure a great report.
Went to bed so proud of myself, for sustaining effort.
Ha.
Boink.
Surprise.
Yesterday on official weigh in day: 145.2.
Now, seriously.
What's up with that?
Today was our Komen 5K, downtown, which certainly requires at least a mile of walking before you get to the starting line and at least an additional mile when the walk is complete. Forgot to look at scales this morning in an effort to get there. LOL.
I know that I'm making good choices and for that I am happy!
xx00xx00xx00xx
-
Serious congrats to one & all making measureably progress!!
Whoohoooo.
It's great to be part of a "loosing" team!

I took a road trip today with a bad influence. This so called friend forced me to eat a portion of an Amond Joy, and a half a bag of M&Ms. Oh, will power, where art thou?
