Okay, so I was just thinking..........................gonna try and find the glass shop online................got to figure out if I should empty out my bank account and bring the credit card, or if one or the other will be fine!!!!
-
My maybe has turned into a YES I will be there!
Thanks for the heads up on the Prez Posse. I will actually be taking 127 towards Jackson/Lansing and then hopping onto 96 so I will avoid Ann Arbor area. Won't be the first time I have run into President Obama. I have pictures which some of you have seen.
Neesie - I know you have extra shopping bags..............I'm sure you will fill them!
Travel safe girls.
Bonnie
-
A great luncheon and wonderful company..............thanks girls! Hoping all are home safe and sound by now.................Irene and Nancy, what was up with the car in the median and cops sitting there? I noticed an Orange sticker on the cars window, like they put on abandoned cars................but then someone was sitting in the car, also.
Hugs,
Denise

It was so fun to meet everyone today. Can't wait until the next gathering. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.
Suzette
-
I had a wonderful time today. It was very nice to meet everyone. Suzette - what a great Town, thank you for the tour.
Neesie - Yes, I saw the car in the median with someone sitting inside. Also, noticed the orange sticker and another guy kneeling by the police window talking to the officers. Don't know what that was all about but it slowed traffic. Those gawkers.
I thought I might be behind you for a while. I was the one stuffing their face with chocolates.
-
I am so bummed to have missed everyone. Can you believe my poor friend just got into a real room 2 hrs ago? No food all day because she missed supper trays by the time she got up there. Uggghhh, being a patient sucks.
I really want to get to the next get together and meet everyone. Hope you all had a few chocolates for me?
-
Nancy make that 2 of us stuffing face with chocolates. After all we just had to eat the chocolates before they melted.
It was nice meeting up with everyone. Looking forward to next get together.
Irene - Did I hear Imlay City is our next luncheon?
Bonnie
-
I hope you can make it next time too Kathy (Kmmd) - I can't believe your friend had to wait so long for a room - I hope she feels better soon.
I vote for Imlay City Irene
-
I stuffed lots of chocolate too, bad girl, good chocolate. Imlay City sounds fantastic! Nice meeting everyone. Had a nice drive home.
-
Hope everyone got home OK. Imlay City, sounds great, any idea when?
-
Yup, had a wonderful time - my chocolate is all gone as well! It was so nice to meet you guys - I really like all the women I have met through this board. Friendship - an unexpected positive side effect.
But I danced the chocolate off at the wedding - you would be amazed at how much fun this fat 60 year old woman had dancing to Baby's Got Back! They formed a circle around me.
It's been years since I shimmied.
Thank you all for being there.

I had a wonderful time with all you Bodacious Babes at the luncheon. It was so great to meet you all! Thank you for welcoming me on this thread & sharing your day with me.
A special Thank you to Suzette! Let's meet for lunch sometime this summer, okay? I'll come to Williamston again & we can shop till we drop! I'm really interested in that Troll (?) bracelet, just didn't have the funds to even touch one this time!!
hugs,
Val

It was great to see/meet everyone yesterday. How did I miss the post about the antiques mall being nearby? That would've been great. I also missed the car in the median, and I didn't even have any chocolate to distract me. lol
Imlay City for the next get together? That would be awesome.
Lucky's has great food and I have a great porch for lazing on a weekend afternoon.....
I'll try to get back here and post a photo. Wish we could just upload from our computer instead of having to post it elsewhere first. Takes too long!
Take care,
Irene
-
The dancing sounds so fun Sue, glad you had a good time.
Val, you're on - just have to get this evil paper done by Friday and then anytime you're ready I'm in.
Sorry you missed the antique mall Irene (it's one of my favorites). Can't wait til Imlay City and Luckys for lunch and a nice lounge on your porch.

Just had to point out what a different reality this site can create at times. When I called the Red Cedar Saturday when I knew there was no way I could make it from the ED to Williamston in time, I called and said, "tell them its Kathy, no wait, tell them its kmmd." DH and I got such a laugh afterwards about how much more we know each other by our call signs. Really looking forward to next time
-
Not sure why two posted.....
-
Hi Ladies as promised her is last years Bodacious Babe Picture!! I will bring some wine when we meet in Imlay City to sip on the porch!!
-
What a good-looking group - and Carolyn, Love the bench
-
What a beautiful group of ladies we are!! j/k! Irene..........thanks for taking care of the 'strap'.....I swear I am going to bring the 60's back and start going 'braless'...!
Carol........love the 'babe' in you!
Irene........I swear that you blew by me in the left lane while we were all slowed in the right lane because of the Cops on the left shoulder WITH FLASHERS ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nancy......you were behind me for a short time, then my 'twin' got between us!! I don't know where it came from, but I looked in the mirror and thought I was behind myself!! And I actually think that car was even dirtier than mine!!
So nice to see all................see most of you at the race!
Hugs,
Denise
-
Looks like a great time was had by all! Sorry I had to bail due to last minute company showing up and staying at my house. But I am looking forward to the RACE! The website it crazy, it is no wonder anyone ever gets signed up!!! Can we bump up the advertisements?
I will be walking this year for my aunt, she has agressive bc and starts her first chemo this Friday.
Chris -
Sorry to hear about your aunt, Chris.
We have 35 members and 10 survivors on our team! The web site is giving everyone grief. Don't give up. It wants your email address as the user-id and check all the age boxes and other disclaimers. I have signed-up several people and each time it took a few tries to get it right.
I'll repeat how to join us since today at 6:00 p.m. is the last day to officially get on Wings of Hope's roster.
We are picking up the t-shirts next Saturday. Anyone want to meet at Panera Bread on Haggerty after that to get your t-shirt and/or shoot the breeze?
We would love to have you, your famiily, and friends as a part of our team. Please join us for the Detroit Race for the Cure on May 22, 2010. This will be team Wings of Hope's 5th year.

That's great Nancy!! My DD and her Friend signed up this morning........don't know if she had trouble or not. Last minute ladies..........she is worse than me!! She lives in Sterling Heights so maybe she can run over and get her shirts...I'd say she could help you but surely you don't want a 6 and 2 year old helping!!
Hugs,
Denise

I don't know who all had cameras for our Williamston luncheon, but I'd love to have a copy of a picture that was taken if I was smiling in one. Anybody? I'd like to print it off to show my family. I really like the one that you have shared with us, Irene, just wondering what the others looked like. Wish I hadn't forgotten my camera. Everybody looks so lovely in the picture, I'm happy to have it.
Thank you for sharing, Irene.
-
Denise - I don't think that was me. Surely I would've noticed all that commotion! Maybe it was MY twin??
Val - unfortunately, I didn't get one of you smiling. Maybe someone else did?
Chris - sorry to hear about your aunt. I'm sending positive vibes her way.
Nancy - Looking forward to Saturday. I will need to leave by about 1:30, though, to make our grandson's 1st birthday party. Can't believe it's been a year already. Wow.
-
Hi All.
Irene - We should be done Saturday before 1:30 I think. I'm hoping to head toward Panera Bread if some want to pick up their packets there. I'm looking forward to Saturday also. Hope they work it out like the early days where we can get a chance to work together and chat.
I cannot count! I said we have 35 on our team on the roster (43 counting everyone). But, we have 14 survivors this year! There are many new names.
If anyone wants information about the trolley, I will copy the info here:
-
- . . welcomes breast cancer survivors who are short on energy but want to be part of the festivities.
- The trolley boards on Woodward near the stage just before 9 a.m. See MACPA volunteers in the "Green Room" next to the stage for assistance.
Reservations and Race registration required. Don't wait-seats are LIMITED. Call 248 351-1861 or e-mail raceforthecure@karmanos.org.
Looking forward to the Race and our next get-together.
