Finally, some movement on a Friday!
145.6
Cake ~ YAY for you!!! Congrats on breaking that wall! You should feel so good about yourself. A big {{hug}} your way. I never worry about Mc'y D's - don't like that or Burger King either. (maybe a Wendy's burger once a year, if that). I don't eat much fast food, but I really do love Quizno's Bourbon Honey Chicken sandwich, my lips are smacking!!
Sheila ~ My lips can really get smacking when there are Doritos around! And I'm buying a bag this weekend because I told DH I would make Taco Salad this weekend for him. BUT, I'm putting them on the side so I will only take a few, hopefully a very few. ;=) I have been meaning to tell you Thank You for the recommendation of those Edy's Ice pops - they are fabulous!! The pomegrante is super good, the Acai Blueberry is out of this world. I'm going to try the Lemonade next. I told my DH how good they were & that he should try one, but so far he hasn't & I secretly hope he doesn't, so I can have them all to myself.
Portion Control: That is the key for me. I try to take half of what I used to. I have even gone so far as to use a smaller plate, that really does work ladies.
pauldingmom ~ Love your lost love tale. And, elimar, love your reply: "it's for the best this way". We really do have a love of food in this country. I truly think we become addicted to sugar & salt, it's horrible. It's so hard to get away from. It's such a struggle & we have other battles to contend with.... A baseball game, I don't like beer, so that would not be a problem for me, I always have water with me. You're probably thinking, my goodness, what does that woman like!?! (sweet desserts!!!! Frozen Strawberry Margaritas!!!! Ice Cream!!! Cheescake!!!) Like Sheila has brought up, it's portion control. MORAL SUPPORT ALERT: Have half of the sub, have half of the brat (ick),whatever the main item is, eat sloooow, TALK ALOT, drink lots of water, count out cheese-its before hand & have your own little baggie full.
carolinachick ~ I need to get my "jigglies" tan, maybe that will help me when I look in the mirror. LOL
Well, I'll get off my soapbox now. Hope it wasn't too much.
Love & {{hugs}} to all

Valerie...Try the new flavor Edy's pineapple. If you like pineapple there are small chunks in them.
I called Edy's customer service. They send me 3 coupons. When its not on sale the price is little too high don't you think so/
-
Okay I have been MIA and it hasn't been so great but I still am up but I was at 153.2 this morning. Sad that I really need to get below 150 again 145 would be awesome because honestly you can see the 8lbs on me.
-
I was just looking at my weigh-in sheet (yeah, I keep track on paper), anyway, I see that I have not been at the 145 mark since last Aug. Would love to get to the 140 wall, lots of work to do.
Jamieh ~ Another week coming up! You can do it!!
Sheila ~ I'll try the pineapple. Great idea on calling Cust. Serv., I'll do that & maybe I'll get some coupons, too.
Yeah, they are a little on the pricey side.
Gotta get off these boards, have lots to do!
-
I love Edy's Lime Bars. I got addicted last summer and always tried to have them on hand, but that was impossible with two teens foraging constantly in the fridge. I then resorted to buying two boxes, one for the family and one just for MOM. I didn't even care if that was fair or not.
-
Hi all - I'm going out this evening so I just popped by to log my weigh in - I'm 163.36lbs which is a loss of 3.44lbs for me this week - yipee!!! Hope I don't undo it all tonight!!! Good luck everyone.
-
AINM Way to go girl! Personally, I think she must be cheating. How did ya do it? I wanna loss 3.44 lbs. in a week!!!!!!
Wishing all of you healthy eating and small portions this weekend. I always remind myself that's it's smart choices that make the difference. So that said, "Smart Choices to You All."
(off to call Edy's. Should I say Seyla888 sent me?)
-
Ok....Paulding gave me great advice on another forum. She told me about THIS FORUM.....I am a first time visitor of this room. I gained around 26-27 lbs during treatment. I needed to lose about 20 before treatment.....so I could stand to drop 50....
I was very large breasted before double mastectomy. The day of my surgery I was told one weighed 5 lbs. The other 5.5 lbs....I did DROP 10.5 lbs in ONE DAY....WOOOHOOO.,...
So when I started chemo.....I gained the boob weight back plus an additional 16-17 lbs.....JUST DID NOT GET ANY BOOBS.....
So I ate a rice cake this morning....had a little coffee......LOTS OF WATER.....
Worked in the garden about 3.5 hours
Just ate lunch....Salad with thousand Island dressing....and a pasta dish made with turkey meat that was left over from last nights dinner.....DRINKING A GLASS OF GREEN TEA....
I try and I must SAY try to do Pilates daily. I have a 20 minute Pilates Video.....I TRY to do atleast 2 miles on treadmill daily....
Three to four times a week I work my arms out with 8 lb hand weights.....TRYING REALLY HARD TO DO ALL THIS.....although IT IS SO DANG HARD......
THIS IS A GREAAAATTTTT FORUM.....thank you PAULDINGMOM
-
Leave me the same this week.
-
Glad to see ya hear Angelsabove. You will find the girls here very supportive. Sounds like you are doing great with your exercise and diet. Keep at it and make smart choices.
Pink Hugs.Hey Meece, do I get commission for referrals??
-
I just popped by to scan through for a few minutes. DH and I woke up with flu-like symptoms which we attributed to strees of dealing with hie family at his aunts funeral. He was to pick me up from work and we would go to the funeral together. Well he picked me up and we came home, crawled in bed and have been there for the last 9 hours. I will post everyone's weights soon, but I don't feel like doing it right now.
I have a spread sheet going for all of us. Maybe when I get it up to date, i can post a graph here. I am glad everyong is still checking in and doing well.
Take care
(Elimar, I have only had one of my vitamins since I took those pictures)
-
Meece..Feel better soon. Don't worry about posting weights either. Just take care of each other.
Ainm....We would like to know your secret about over 3 pounds weight loss in one week.
PauldingMom...We all the Edys lovers should get coupons. Once i tried strawberry flavor it was too sweet. I just didnt like it. I called and they sent me a free coupon for the next time. Did you call them?
Elimar..It was perfectly fair. Sometimes we have to have something we like for ourselves.
Hi Jaimieh...Im not dieting when I go away. I mean wouldnt go back to old habits but if I want to eat something with extra calories i will.
Valerie...At this point all I want to see numbers starting with 15...Could be 159.6. I dont care.
-
Just flying through on my way to bed after watching my Red Wings WIN !! YAY!!
angelsabove ~ Welcome! You will find lots of encouragement & support here. These ladies are the best! I could not be doing doing this without them!
Meece ~ Oh my goodness, please feel better soon.

Welcome..Angelsabove

Meece once again leave me the same for this week, at 158 lbs. I hope next week will be a better weight loss week. I'm afraid it won't be. My dad is once again back in the hospital. They put him in there from the rehab side this afternoon. He started having a bleed again in the same place whre they remove the fistual on last Friday when they did the surgery. We are really concerned. Praying for a miracle. Hugs!!
Renee

Just attempting to get caught up.

I realize that my posting a quantem leap forward in my exercising/walking can indeed create angst for those 'unable' to walk..... my sincere apologies, if it came across as boastful or bragging. I wasn't thinking very clearly. my intent was to show that progress is possible. after my BILAT in Jan i was able to susatin 15 minutes of walking at a time -- at the slowest pace possible. So for me to walk an hour, a mere 3 months later was mind boggling.
We each must wrestle with new limitations and threats to our activity level.
No weigh-in for me this week. We are staying in the 'shell' of my DD2's 'new-to-them' home. Sleeping on an inflatable mattress. Sitting on porch chairs we bought last night.
Everyone make some good choices today and be content with that progress for today.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
-
Meece - I hope you continue to improve.
Renee - stay strong, I really hope your dad is as comfortable as possible.
Welcome Angelsabove and Faith it sounds like you are almost camping!!!
Paulding & Sheila - I really don't know how I lost that weight - I did do a few extra walks (3 x 2 miles) but then again I did go to McDonalds too (chicken legend and twisty fries) but I weighed again this morning and I was 1lb up again!!! I was at a party last night where there was finger food but I really was quite controlled and just had one mini quiche, one mini samosa which I suspect was deep fried and a few pastry chips because I wanted to taste the dips, only drank sparkling water and one small diet coke but had such a headache this morning (like a hangover!!!).
Had to bake today for a cake sale tomorrow so did a fair share of eating crumbs and leftover odds and ends and licking spoons - mmmmm chocolate frosting!!
Anyway I guess I'll have to see how I do over the next week!!!! It's not much use losing it this week and putting it back on next week!!!
Got some comments about the new 'smaller' me last night!!!
-
Okay, McD's has twisty fries and something called chicken legend? Sounds perfect. I will get going on the updates now. Congrats to all those who lost, or didn't gain. Hang in there to those of you who didn't fair so well. Welcome AngelsAbove.
-
I was a sinner all week and therefore gained a pound S--- that is the wrong direction. I will be cooking all day tomorrow and then I won't stray. Congratulations to all of you loosers (:
-
I haven't stepped on the scale yet. I will...soon.
-
I had the most delicous salad.
-
What was in it, Seyla?
-
You can hear my excitement yes?
It felt like I was eating chocolate or something it was so tasty.
Spring greens, tomato, kirby cucumber, thin sliced red onion and half of an avocado
OO and vinegar for dressing and a pinch of salt. I almost licked the bowl. and couple small turkey burger without bread.
-
Mmm. I am feeling better. I went out and picked a couple of beets, but then didn't feel like eating them when I came in. maybe tomorrow.
-
I love beets. And you should be resting now.
-
I am. I don't think I have slept this much since I had surgery last. I am trying to stay up a little more right now so I will sleep through the night. Just took some nighttime meds so that should help as well.
-
Are you still feverish?
