Welcome Diane! How lovely to have the cleaning service. I would feel like I'd won the lottery too.
Shiny I hope you have a great time in Crete.
Faith I love your beautiful angel! It's good to see you posting again, you have been in my thoughts and prayers.
I mustn't start a list, bad, bad!
I am off early tomorrow morning to Jersey in the Channel Islands for a few days. While we are away it will be my one year cancerversary. It's quite something to look back on the past year and all that has happened, good and bad.
The greatest blessing to come out of it, by a long way, is meeting such amazing women here on bco. I cannot imagine how I would have got through it without my dust bunny friends. Hugs to each and every one of you.xoxoxoxo

hugs Jayne, xx hope you get some great weather.ditto ditto ditto.

Just doing a fly by to see how my dust bunny friends are doing...I think of you often but have just needed to step back away from cancer for a little to get my bearings.
Jayne, congrats on the one year, many more to come.
Barbe, hope you are doing okay and get good results from your tests.
Faith, sending love to you.
Dianne, welcome.
Shiny,Have a great holiday

Hi to Lucy, Mum, Arnie, Shiny, Faith, and congulations to Jayne.
BTW ... men are so good with tools - I think we need to turn our tools over to them:
-
I am no longer missing in action - the move went well on Monday, with a high of 92 degrees - record temp. Phone, tv and intertnet set up Tuesday. Unpacking and more unpacking has been ongoing. There is no way I can catch up, so I wish you a happy, enjoyable, relaxing, stress free day. Hugs, Nancy
edited to correct spelling...
-
Nancy! How is it? Do you like it? Is it pretty? Is the sun exposure on your balcony pleasing????? As you can see I LOVE to move!!!!!
Vivvy! Great to hear from you! I find I don't go to the "cancer" threads anymore, just the friendship and humour ones. It does drag you down some, doesn't it?
I finally go to the doctor tomorrow!!! Had a colonoscopy yesterday which was clear so we still have to find out why my blood iron is so low... Ortho surgeon on Tuesday so maybe getting closer to some answers....
-
Yea Nancy. I bet it is such a relief to have all your "stuff" in the new place. It will get unpacked and organized by you in good time. In the meantime, do something for YOU!
-
Congrats Nancy! 90 degrees???? geesh!
"Barbe" yes, please let us know!!!
Ok...back to dustbunnies
-
Once again, I've been too embarrassed to post here
. My vacuum is in for repair. OMG, did I wear it out?
I do NOT like my central vac so will refrain from doing housework. The one in for repair is an old portable relic. (I guess I'm much the same.) I won't say I love it, but I will say it's got more power. Something I am lacking.
Dusty bun hugs to all.

As with all things, there is the good and the bad. overall, this new apartment is WAY "gooder" than the old one. I turned in the keys today and had my final walk through inspection. As I pointed out the black mold on each and every baseboard, the "inspector" just said hmmmm. he took pictures, and I had already taken pictures. A friend suggested showing the pix to the Health Dept, which I may do later.
The sun comes up on my balcony and the view is a lovely landscaped area across the street. One huge cherry blossom tree is right across from me. My apt is on the 3rd floor, so the view is open and pretty. Sorry, but I can not post pixs. My 2 fake trees came along with me and are tied or tethered to the railing in case it gets windy.
It is only in the 80's today and 60's forecast for tomorrow, which is more like it for this time of year. Time to get bite to eat then tackle another box or 2. Hugs, Nancy

Shiny - we will be thinking of you -- have a positively wonderful time and let us know how the vacation turns out. One of the 10 commandments speak to 'coveting' your neighber and I am here to tell you I am 'coveting' about being in the Greek Isles so, Shiny, please pack me in with the luggage. This is what we are missing!
-
Coonie,
You are welcome anytime. The weather here gets cool but not so cold to have snow. So if you think you can handle walks along the beach wrapped up in warm coats, hot chocolates with marshmallows and days that are sunny but crisp pack your bags and come on down.
That invitation applies to the dust bunnies. Tonight we are expecting a cold night so hopefully I will be able to sleep under a blanket instead of on top of them all.
Hugs to all
Viv
-
KAK,
Happy Birthday.....hope that your fatigue is lessening.
-
VivvVVvvvvvvvy GF of tomorrow............
It's difficult enough for me to wrap my head around the time changes -- I'll never get on to the concept that you're different season from us. LOL.
Coonie, I'm willing to go walk beaches in a coat, so let's get passports & surprise her!!!
We're down to my last couple of days in sunshinie FL...... back to 'work' and the real world. I was grumpy for a moment yesterday, over having had to spend the entire season here in "recovery" mode, but my DH pointed out it was lovely to have the sun to encourage my efforts. True. Very true.
We fly to Baltimore on Wed. Twill get to see DD2's first home & help them with some handyman special sorts of jobs about the place, then I speak on Fri. Works out pretty well when I've got someone to 'pay' me to go see my kiddo!
Hope that everyone has a great day today.................................
Hugs all around.
