    Suzette, I said a prayer for a clean x-ray report for you~

Going to be another 1 dog night in Maine.  Wind chill predicted for -15 to -20  tonight.  Not much better tomorrow during the day, except that the wind is supposed to be a lot calmer.

Tampa is cloudy, rainy all day and cool @ 63 degrees.  Supposed to rain all night and tomorrow.  That is fine, we still need it.  Suzette, saying prayers for you.

Smithlme:  I've had the cold from hell for over a week now.  Seems it is going around everywhere.  First sickness since chemo was over, so it is scary.  Gettng better everyday.

This is week three for me and I fly on Wednesday to Houston. I caught the cold I have now when I flew three weeks ago. I've been taking Emergen-C twice a day, hoping to build my immune system up.

Zicam also helps with cold symptoms.  Hope you feel better when you fly Wednesday, Smtihlme.  Rain due to come in tomorrow but we had a gorgeous sunny day today.

    Good morning my friends,

Great news, your prayers all worked.  My chest x-ray is clear with no changes since my last one in August!!!  Don't know why I'm coughing but as long as it's not mets and not asthma or lupus changes I'm a happy woman.

It's up to 21 degrees here in East Lansing with a very light dusting of snow.  My travel into work from the east of town wasn't bad at all but my friends/coworkers who live west of town had a treacherous journey.  Living in Michigan surrounded by the great lakes makes for severe weather changes from one town to the next.  The further west one travels in Michigan the more snowy it is.

Sorry such a long post.  Thanks again for the prayers - I'm now praying for those of you with the awful winter colds.  I swear by Zicam too!

Sometimes a change in Asthma meds can cause a cronic cough.I had the same problem until I changed my meds. Good to hear the xray was clear.

    Congrats, Suzette!

The fog was nasty on the way to work this morning.  Probably 50 yards visability at most.  Cold and gray today.

Thanks again everyone for your support.  It's so nice that you all understand.  My family and friends try and are wonderful but unless one has "been there" it's hard to understand the anxiety symptoms and testing brings (as has been said on these discussion boards several times).

It is 28 degrees here (not much different from my morning report) and has been lightly snowing all day.  I hope it stops soon so I am able to have a good drive to work again tomorrow morning.

As far as Phil goes, I'd be dang thankful if winter was ONLY 6 weeks more.  In Michigan, Spring usually begins at the end of April or first of May (and that's a good year).

Well on the 11th day, the cold has abated some.  Feeling much better.  Stopped raining around noon, cleared up and was beautiful.  Getting cool for us tonight, but rain in the forecast for Friday.

Suzette, so grateful all went well.

We are supposed to get a light storm through tonight and a heavy storm coming in on Friday for the weekend, yippee. (Does anyone have the sarc-mark yet?  This would be a good place for it)

Well our light dusting turned into 3-5 inches of snow!  The last dusting of 3-5 inches was just meling when BAM! we got more.  I think Friday is another light dusting and one night, I think Monday is supposed to go down to 8 degrees.

Of course the snow is absolutely beautiful ... its that kind that clings to trees and bushes and makes everything look like a winter wonderland.

We ended up with freezing rain yesterday morning but warmed up. Melted some of the snow from Friday/saturday, water refroze on the ground this morning. Sun is out today, maybe the snow from Friday/Saturday will melt more today. Calling for more frozen moisture Friday.

28 degrees this morning, still light snow but I also see blue skies so the snow should end soon.

I don't know about the rest of the country but in Mid-Michigan the skunks come out and mate in February - well, I smelled my first skunk yesterday and while it was quite disgusting it is a nice reminder that spring will be here in a couple of months!  Last year we had a very cold summer and the skunks didn't mate until the last week in February so I'm hopeful the early mating is a sign of a nice warm spring and summer.

The fog was so thick this morning I could not see 50 feet, for real. I drove extremely slow.  The fog has lifted now and the sky is beautifully blue.  I chat with my mom on the way to work, and I told her the fog was clearing a bit so I could see 1/10 mile.  She asked where I was and I told her "just north of the squished skunk."  They "den-up" around here in the winter, with a lot of them together.  Then as it gets warmer they come out for mating.  There are dozens on the roads around here, squished.

Meece - that's so funny your skunks are squished in the spring.  Ours our always on the road squished in the fall - wonder why?

Love your heat wave NM - we're actually up to 30 degrees - should be coming your way soon.

We have a professional animal trapper living on the next block.  He was the one who told us about them denning-up.  He was on "Dirty Jobs" a couple of weeks ago.

Really?  I'll have to watch that episode and then I'll know he lives near Meece.  I hope the PETA people aren't reading this but my boys (sons and husband) will take care of them for me.  That's all I'll say about thatSmile

We'd better leave this subject, because I have a history of taking care of rodents as well.

I had a skunk spray the side of the house one time--the dogs were barking at it, got it excited, and it let go.  Right under the bedroom window.  Missed the dogs, thank goodness!  But I remember the smell returning every time it rained or got foggy for a solid year.  Had to sleep with the bedroom windows shut most of the that summer.  NOT fun!

19 and sunny this morning.  Bit of a breeze, going to be a pretty day.  We got a dusting of snow yesterday, just enough to make everything sparkly in the sunshine this morning.
