I am thinking they are Behr.  We painted some of them in our old home, and had so many compliments we used them again in the new home.  That, and some of our furniture already matched the paint.

Since beginnning my color selection for the sewing room, I found that Home Dept sells little 1/2 pint jars of paint tinted to the color you choose.  They cost less than $4 and it is a much better option than to buy a quart or gallon of a paint you don't like.  I have purchased 4 already, and have swipes all over one wall, up at eye level and down near the base board for matching the carpet.

So Cal has had quite a few funnel clouds the past week and even a couple of small tornados.

Stay dry, ladies.  I have no idea what the weather holds for me today.

I think there is a no name hurricane stopped in NY.

55 already. raining so hard, high winds. My little back yard is upside down, the chairs flew all over the place. And this is my weather report today.

    Good Morning to All!

Good morning from Virginia.  The Nation's Capitol is flooded - it was running yesterday and again today - heavy rains all day.  The winds last night sounded like a bowling tournament was going on the roof!  However, it is 57 degrees.  By Friday it is supposed to plummet to 33 degrees with snow!

What an odd winter the whole country is having!

Rain here, too. What a surprise. The sky is dark and the drops are as big as silver dollars. I need to run into town and I hate the thought of getting soaked before I even get into the car.

I love painting inside the house. When I moved here last year the rooms in the house hadn't seen a fresh coat of paint in years. I've repainted all of the rooms except auntie's bathroom. Her bedroom had to be done within a few hours while she was at the senior center, so her bathroom will have to be blitzed the same way. I'm a huge fan of accent walls. Our kitchen, dining room, living room and hallway all run together, so I had to use a neutral color on the ceiling and walls that would go with several bolder colors. The kitchen has a yellow accent wall and our living room has a reddish-orange accent wall, but they both match the neutral color.

We have a cinnamon colored accent wall in our bedroom, but I am not fond of it, I would like it to be a warmer cinnamon.  Our bed is literally hundreds of pounds so we can't move it to paint that wall.  One of these days I'll cut in as much as I can and redo it.

Family room has a mossy green accent wall.  Used wicker as the neutral that runns in different places throughout.

Cloudy today with a possiblity of rain, but none so far.  No wind at all either.

Our rain did not last and it became sunny and breezy.......very breezy with temps getting cooler.

Meece- have used those paint samples you mentioned and agree. Read in a magazine that if you paint the inside of a shoe box you can get a better idea of how the room will look when finished as the sides reflect off each other as they do in a room.

Tampa had rain last night and early th is morning. As with hmm, it is getting cooler.  Can't really say cold compared to some of you ladies.   Meece, you are making me think of painting walls.  I was a 30 year Navy wife and moved many, many times.  Never stayed around long enough to paint as I'd have to paint it again to move out.  I haven't gotten that bold yet:)  Home with a nasty cold today, but the weather is beautiful.  If it remains nice, I will work in the yard next weekend.

Up to 45 degrees, raining hard and wind gusts are rattling the windows.  I'm surprised I still have power, not counting on it staying on all night.  Thank goodness I don't have to get up at 4 am tomorrow morning!  At least I'll have a fighting chance being able to see something if there's no power when I get up.  At least nothing will freeze up if the power does go out.  I got soaked just crossing the road to get the mail this evening!

Still gray here, a weak breeze moving the palm fronds outside my window, but no rain.  All this painting talk makes me want to pinpoint the color.

I have given DS#3 until April 30th to move, he will be 21 that month and it is time for him to get completely on his own feet.  I am thinking of how I can move stuff from the sewing room to "His old room"  I may wait to paint until then because it will be easier to get around the room.  His room, I picked out the Grecian Urn, a grey-green, and a burgundy.  It is stunning, and I will happliy leave that room the way it is.

The blue is definitely out.  I have a favorite but DS and DH have chosen the same one.  What do you think?

Did they choose the one in the bottom left hand corner?

They both liked the darkest green on the right hand side.

Bottom left is my favorite, too.

Seriously...it's been raining ALL day long. No breaks, no let up...nada, zip, zilch. If the wind picks up it will bring a lot of trees down in our forest and in town, which means power outages.

Bottom left and middle left are the two I am thinking about.  They both have green tones.  The one the guys like is called cricket.

YAHOO! We actually have sunshine today. Let's see how long it lasts. We're having an End-of-the-Month party on Saturday so we're hoping to get to use our fire ring back in the forest. We have room in the house and Man Cave (garage) but it's always nice to sit around a fire.

Love the picture mumayan! We have lots of beach....just no heat here!

That is much prettier than GITMO.

We are supposed to get rain today, but it doesn't look like it is going to happen any time soon.

The rain only lasted an hour or so.  I haven't checked my rain gauge since I got home, but I doubt we even got 1/10.  Saw some beautiful rainbows as a result though.
