Yesterday's sunshine made me think that I was Hercules..... so I drove to our SUPER Walmart (the closest place -- only about 15 minutes) to buy some socks.
I didn't bring one pair of socks to FL. Since my plan is to 'walk' my way back to health I needed socks. Anyhow, going to get them seemed like a good plan at the time.
Seems to have been toooo much, on the heels (get it) of the 16 hours in the car the days before.
Last night was a bizarre one of not sleeping and then having the craziest of dreams, will not elaborate here in the efforts to keep this rated PG-13/R.
In retrospect, I think that most of the non-sleeping was a combination of exhaustion and concern for Saint. She is at a very difficult juncture. We talked several times yesterday and she is in a tailspin of emotion, side effects, pain, and anxiety.
My dear husband, left at dawn for a prearranged gulf fishing adventure. His uncle flew in from Cleveland and had paid for the trip in advance. Allen felt the extreme guilt of leaving me here alone, without a car and his uncle 'needing' him for this last hurray effort together.
I gave my encouragement for him to choose the fishing. I can lay around today and sleep.
I may periodically admire my new socks from across the recliner. I don't intend to wear them today. Feel free to keep me company today.

Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage...... and pharmaceuticals.

Faith you have to give yourself time to heal.Just rest in that Florida sunshine.

Who is carrying your suitcases?????
Sorry, I know, I'm acting like a mother.

Glad you plan on taking it easy. I can close my eyes and imagine that you picked out a lively, colorful pair of socks, that could almost dance by themselves. Especially because they are excited that they get to share the day with you!!
-
Hugs Faith.
-
For me, a trip to Super WalMart is ALWAYS toooooo much! Sometimes just driving by is too much! The warm sun on your skin will heal you...
-
Thanks for the support team.
This was the most SUPER of all SUPER Walmarts..... which felt like a triathalon by the time I'd gone from my car to the sock department, making a stop at the pharmacy and grabbing a rotisserie chicken in a box.
I literally could not bring myself to consider going to the other end for dairy products, ie some milk and yougert. Glad to have made that wise choice. Milk will wait..... dry cereal is fine. I have plenty of juice in the fridge -- which we imported from Ohio.
Here's one of the pictures I took yesterday:
The other three companion photos are on my blog.
