I agree about Jaison, he is eye candy.  I felt bad for Liz because she is a better player than Natalie.  Did everyone see that the merge is next week?  I don't remember a merge before ten before.

I didn't know comeuppance was in the dictionary - thanks junie!

I was sad to see Liz go, I thought she was smart although maybe not a great strategic player.

It seems Russell changes with the wind - one day he's out for this one and then the next he's out for someone else. He may be playing the game better than some/most but I refuse to call him smart. I don't like him and I hope he goes now that they're merging.

I agree - I don't think Russell is a smart person, but he is playing the game smart up to this point.  I think the real test of outwit, outplay comes once the merge happens - although some of the individual challenges are physical, then mental game really comes into play once the merge happens.  I can't wait to see how Russell does with the other team...................

Just watched the last two shows last night! Don't have much to ad, as everyone pretty much has it covered!

Russell is just too full of himself, I too hope he gets blindsided, besides...he doesn't need the money. DH likes the little blonde, Natalie? How the hell can someone look that good after 2 weeks of no shower, sleep has to be bad with rain, no make up, etc. etc. etc. I want to look like her in my next life!

I am still not sure who I am rooting for, maybe Shambo. But she better do something before those boys stab her in the back. Maybe the merge will help her.

Spar, the honeymoon was great, thank you. Hawaii is hot and humid, not good for hot flashes! But it was beautiful and I am glad I got to see it! We went to 3 islands.

Here's what I don't get about Russell the Snake - supposedly he is a successful, wealthy oil company owner.  Doesn't that mean he has partners, or vendors, or others with which he needs to maintain a viable business relationship?  Who would trust him for one minute after having seen him on Survivor?  Maybe there is more I don't know....but he seems like a total snake to me.  He is playing the game well, but his stories just don't add up.  Then again, he is a liar, so who knows what the truth is!

Not sure yet who I am rooting for this time......(but it's not Russell in case you couldn't tell lol)

Tonight is the merge................ Let's see how Russell does - will he get caught or continue to mess with people.

I still don't have a favorite either, I find this season's group not very interesting.

Casinogirl - You said exactly what I told my boss.  Is he not afraid of what the people he does business with will think of him and question their deals and agreements????

Goldie, your husband needs to count his blessings you look way better than any of those survivor chicks.

Casinogirl, I was thinking the same thing after watching Russel lie and manipulate people who would ever trust him.  He was a fool tonight, or maybe just paranoid.

Don't ask me why but I am rooting for shambo (and she even gets on my nerves) but it is like she is the underdog and she works like a dog.  I really like the rocket scientist too.

laffin here...at myself!   Tonight's show confused me so much that in the end, I didn't even recognize who got voted off or understand why!    This season just isn't grabbing me.   Usually by now, I'd be rooting for a favorite person, but nobody is grabbing my attention as have past shows.  Tonight was too predictable in that everyone was in agreement as to who would be voted off--you knew up front that person was going to win individual immunity and be saved til next show.

BO-ring!!!!    Hope the pace picks up some next show.....

It's getting better................I will say I forgot about that guy Brett - he's managed to stay in the backround without much notice-I really don't know much about him, but when Jeff introduced him at tribal council I thought "Oh yeah that guy - where's he been".  Rocket Scientist has been stayed in the backround, but appears to be coming out and playing.  I think Eric was little to full of himself and lost sight - Russell is scrambling way too much which is always a receipe for disaster.........  And I do have to say Foa Foa was smart to spread out and start looking for cracks in Galu - it seems to be working divide and conquer.

I don't have a favorite yet - I too always seem to go for the underdog, but still can't seem to find that one person that has me rooting for them.

I thought Eric was not to bright by not giving up his idol, Russel is in trouble he had better get immunity next week or he is gone!

Eric was terribly full of himself and he paid the price.  So, no more hidden idols.  Did anyone even know that Eric had one?  I suspect it's ta ta to Russell next week and not a moment too soon in my estimation (unless he wins immunity).

It looked like it was R's week but he go away again.  I didn't know that Eric was even on their radar.  It goes to show how things can be changed by editing.  I think he was one of the most stunned ejectees yet.

Well most of you have already made all the "good" comments! So all I have to say is, I am going to love to see Russell scramble. Mr. All High and Mighty, who controls everyone and has the game in is pocket! Did anyone else notice....he is the smallest person on the show! You could see it when they were all sitting in tribal, he was next to Natalie.

Spar, thank you so much for the compliment. That was very sweet of you!

    See ya all next week!

Is tonight the night Russell gets the boot? Will we get to see him scramble?  Or................ is he smart enough to manipulate the others?  Stay tuned...........................

Maybe I missed something on last week's show, but why did Russell the Snake play the idol when he did?  Had it been discussed that his head might be on the chopping block last week?  Maybe he was just paranoid since people are "on to him"?

Agree - if Russell the Snake doesn't win immunity tonight, his torch will be snuffed!

    Donna,

I was as suprised as you were that he played it - I think he just got incredibly paranoid with the merger and the fact that the intended victim (can't remember her name right now) won immunity.  I am not sure if people spoke with him after the challenge.  I am suspicious that the way they have been playing it in the previews that he actually wins immunity tonight and some one else goes.  Just have to wait & see.

It is FINALLY getting interesting! Loved the episode tonight..what a blindside! And I am starting to see Russell as quite a crafty player.....before tonight I just plain didn't like him.

Russell was clearly not a favorite of mine, but after the move he made tonight - I think he deserves to keep on playing.  He has managed to OUTSMART, OUTWIT AND OUTPLAY.......... How smart is it of him to look for the idol w/o clues, then use it to his advantage.  I say go Russell.  Next week should be really interesting...........................

Okay......... we haven't talked much about this other person - the yoga guy (balding/longer hair, seems to be leading the Galu bunch)- he really "he makes my skin crawl".  I can't figure out why he creeps me out so much, but he does. What do y'all think of him?

Still don't have a favorite, but I always seem to go for the underdog........... which is the old Foa Foa tribe at the moment, but not a particular person.

I have to admire Russell for what he did last night.  Unfortunately, Shambo is going to get blamed - they probably think she told Russell about the immunity idol and she didn't, but they won't believe her.  The funny thing is that Russell was really looking for the one that Eric left with and found the new one.

Jenn - I think the yoga guy is going to get some crap from his tribe also -he was the one who said "oh, he can't find it so soon."  One of them was concerned about just that scenario (I don't remember who it was - one of the women).  That was probably one of the greatest blindsides ever on Survivor.  I said to DH last night that it might come down to Laura vs Russell (although I think it will be three in the finale because I don't think they want an even jury panel).  JMHO

OMG!!! Russell is totally outwitting everyone - who would have thunk he was so smart? Really?

I think it was Dave (he makes my skin crawl, too) that said he wouldn't find it? And how about Monica bringing that issue up? Is she that smart (I didn't think so) or are some of these thoughts planted in the players' minds? Like, behind the scene?

Loved all the shocked faces when Russell played the 2nd idol! Shambo voted for him and acted appropriately shocked, she had to sitting next to Laura (who I don't like but is obviously a good player).

Can't wait until next week - it should really get cut-throat from here on out! The preview showed Russell either finding the next idol and being chased or just being chased while looking for it and someone stating that they'd "rip it out of his hands" or some such verbiage.

What a great Survivor last night! I used to greatly dislike Russell, but must admit that I am starting to like and respect him as a player. Laura seems just plain mean and nasty. I want her to go.

The Yoga/fitness guy bothers me too. He sometimes gets a crazy look in his eyes.

What did you think of Ben over on the jury bleachers? Shaking his fist at his old team? Hilarious. The Galu Tribe (with the exception of Shambo) all seem so cultish and cruel. Why are they so intent on getting rid of the remaining old Foa Foa members?

Good article here on the show last night.

I haven't watched all the Survivors, but this one is turning out to be one of the best (that I've seen).

Russell does seem to be an expert at finding hidden immunity idols...Next week should be exciting!!

Hi Surrvivor Fans!  Glad I sw this thread - I love me some Survivor too. :)  Russell is awesome - I want him to win SO BAD which, of course, means he won't.  But he is really playing the game and everybody else seem to be just sitting around.  :)

I think Dave is the name of the yoga guy - and yes Laura does seem to have a mean streak.  The old Galu tribe reminds me the movie "Mean Girls" with the little high school clique going.............. Eric was mad - I'm thinking if a Foa Foa makes it to then end they will have Eric's vote.   This week should be really good...... What would be really fun is if the Idol were found by either Russell or one of the Foa Foa and they also won immunity.
