Anyone interested in a Breast Cancer Get Together in Las Vegas this spring or summer?
-
Hi girls, guilty of a busy life and a little bit of lurking here. I kind of feel "homeless" on BC.org now. LOL The Oct reconstruction thread is dead, I didn't go to Vegas and I didn't have an exhange so I don't belong on EC either.
Sandy, I saw the video and laughed my butt off. I can just picture myself in that line-up, singing at the top of my lungs. What a night that must have been!
Laura, how are you recovering?
Tracey, are you off the HB express yet?
Not much new here. I have decided to put off the decision about fat grafts or nips for now. I was feeling all kinds of pressure to do SOMETHING before year-end. I have already met my insurance deductible of $5K, and that starts all over again Jan 1st. But I really don't want to force any of these decisions. I felt like I was doing it now just because of the money, and I'm really not ready. So if it winds up costing us more money down the road, c'est la vie. Doesn't health care SUCK!
-
URGH INSURANCE CRAP IS STRESSING ME OUT! I let my husband take care of all of it, but I get so damn emotional! I was listening to him on the phone with them today...all morning in fact. urgh...they didn't pay for one of my herceptin treatments because I had it on day 19 instead of the 20-21 day. I guess it's some law that you cannot have it under 20 days. Hubby is gonna throw it back in the lap of the onc office who scheduled it wrong. I just feel like our financial problems are all my fault. CANCER SUCKS!
OK....gotta calm down here...Kristina please let us know how your consult went!!!! WE'RE ALL DYING HERE!!!!
-
Oh p.s. Laura I posted this on facebook, but thought I would post it here too....I would LOVE to go to your place for a slumber party!!! BUT the drive is 26hrs and 16 min.

-
Good to see you Mona
We let the October 2008 topic die when October 2009 rolled around because it would have caused confusion for the 2009 sisters. We did not want to do that.....
I know what you mean about trying to get in under the out of pocket radar....I was wanting my nipps done before the end of 2008 because if this reason but my PS would not do them. I had a revision in May and nipps in Aug. so I still pretty much got the nipps for "free"....
Check in more often.....I am not as active on the boards as I was......I was spending too much time on the PC so I had to cut back so I could get my life back.....for the past 2 wks I have worked out every morning....yahooooooo......not getting on the computer....
take care
-
MONA... how can you say you do not belong here.... If you had BC... you belong on BCO!!!
You did TOO have exchange... when you had to swap out those first implants that gave you the CC.... that COUNTS!!
You can stick here... or go over to EC... We JUST had a gal there asking about one step.... SOOOOOOOOOOOOO you could be a huge help them...and ladies coming up like them.... NEVER feel left out!
Linda... I MISS YOU..... BUT I am so glad you are working out like you should....:)... You better be putting away tips for next yr Vegas!....
I think Vegas in the spring would be too soon fo rme... we have so much going financailly...LOL... but I would love to make Our Vegas Trip in October.... BC awaremness month... that would be great.... even if the Koman thing was not there... we can still be TA TA's there and there HAS to be other BC things going on...
KAREN... THank you.. that was very nice.. I try to keep spirits up here.... It is just in me.. and I feel I am suppose to be here... cheering..:).... Send me your picture via e -mail with that rads breast sister... if you have... I need to go check my e-mail...lol...lol...
SS Jazzy... SS....
Lacey... we will be going back to Vegas sometime between Aug-Oct... so stick around... and join us next year...:)
-
I miss you too Laura
There was a woman in TX that claimed to have breast cancer and even shaved her head like she was having chemo. The town had a benefit for her to raise money for medical bills. She took the money and got A BOOB JOB......I say rip those things out of her chest and cram them down her throat...how dare she....
-
I'm with you Linda! Make her choke on them!
-
Agreed... HOW DARE her.......
-
Hey for those of you with facebook...here's my link. I cant seem to find any of you guys! So please come see me, ok.

Hello My Sweet Sistas! Quickly checking in--Laura you are so sweet to keep tabs on us!
Reading several of these posts I just want to say that we are really blessed to have eachother and I feel so lucky to have found this group of friends. There is nothing quite like the kindness and smile of a friend. Susie honey I am so sorry you lost a friend. I just lost one of the closest friends I ever had- 49 years young- her heart gave out too. I am still trying to adjust to not hearing her voice every day. We worked together so it is such a constant memory of the void left without her. She is dearly missed. Tracey- Many prayers for your friend. You know there is supposed to be an order to things in life and a 28 year old mom fighting for her life just isn't right. Is there anything this group can do in addition to our loving prayers?
I miss you ladies very much. Just three more weeks of the insanity in my travel schedule and then I have my exchange.....
-
