wasn't surprised to see Yas voted out.  But, her ouster undermined the tribe's captain (I think he is also named Russell).  That's got to shake his confidence a bit.   Poor Shambo--she really is such a hard worker and does a lot around the camp--but, letting a chicken get loose, after losing some snorkle equipment....her usefulness may be short-lived.     ...can't wait 'til Thursday.

Ok, I am back and ready. Just watched the last 3 episodes. That Ben was a jerk and I don't know what to think about that Yasmine. She was a case for sure. As for the last one voted out (Ashley?) not much to say about her one way or the other. As for Russell, how can one person be so full of himself, he has to be a plant in the show. But Liz has his number and called him out! Poor Shambo, I hope they merge before her team gets a chance to vote her out.

    WHERE'S EVERYONE BEEN????

Just watched last week's last night. Both Russells are something else but the fat Russell is just plain old creepy. His conversation with Liz was weird, like he was truly angry at her. Ashley was worthless, agreed. Shambo will make it to the merge! And all that rain - ugh!

I just found this and haven't missed a Survivor season yet - I'm in.

Russell that walks around in his underwear has a huge ego and I wouldn't want to be around him in real life, but I have to admit it does keep things interesting.   Liz does have Russell pegged, I hope she can figure out how to stay on his "better" side.  I agree poor Shambo - I like her, but it seems like she just can't get it right with her tribe.

Welcome back, Goldie!!!!  Hope your honeymoon and wedding were wonderful.

Based on what I saw on the previews, it looks like the nice Russell goes down this week.  A quote from Jeff on the preview said "in 19 seasons, this was the scariest moment............"  All I saw was they were competing and Russell seemed to get dizzy and fell and hit his head on the side of a wooden box.  Looks like another one leaves without being voted out.

Honestly, I am beginning to think fat Russell is actually an actor planted on the show.  If that turns out to be true, I probably will stop watching Survivor - I want to root for real people.

Good question - he probably swipes them from his voted off comrades.

I read somewhere that reality shows to use "D" or lower level actors for reality shows.............  I'm not crazy about the other Russell, but I do hate it when people are forced out due to illness or injury.

Okay all of this rain is making for boring television.  The only "excitement" and I hate to use that word in this case was Russell's medical condition and it seems he recovered and doing better based on what he said at the end.

I was afraid to post because no one else did, I thought maybe I was the only one that watched it.  I felt bad for Russell - not the way to go out, but if he wasn't careful, he could have had a stroke.  I am really glad they pulled him.  I do think that it wasn't right of Jeff to not give the reward to anyone - I think he should have given it to both tribes - hadn't they been through enough misery for the last few days?  Clearly, they all needed a pick me up and a good meal would have helped with that.  Since they are down to 13 in total, the merge should be coming up - I don't recall any time when the merge didn't happen at ten - does anyone else remember differently?

I don't normally watch survivor regularly, but the previews got me wanting to watch it. I agree with you Anne, both teams should have gotten the reward.

I forgot about the reward, my thoughts exactly - both teams should have gotten the pizza.

They really are suffering this year.  I found last night disappointing.  Too much rain, not enough srtategy.

I agree they all should have gotten back to camp and had hot pizza waiting for them.

It almost seems as if it has become Sufferer not Survivor.

Hopefully next week will have less rain and medical and more game and strategy

Think most agree that this episode was rather bland, except for Russell's medical problem.  I wasn't too surprised that neither tribe won reward, but was surprised that at tribal council, Jeff announced that no one would be voted off.   With morale at such a low point for both tribes, it seems that each one losing another member would have made for more excitement and strategy and backstabbing for the next show......

Here is a link to Jeff Probst's blog about the episode and why they made the decisions that they did.

Thanks for the blog, it was actually a very touching piece about Russell.  However, I still think some warm pizza for both teams would have been nice.  But that's me sitting home, warm and dry watching these poor people in the cold rain without food or water.  Let's home the sun is out for this week's episode.

I would have loved to see them all get hot pizza, they look so miserable with the cold and rain and shriveled up like a prune.  I am so glad that guy did not have a stroke and they pulled him but who knows he was good and could have won.  I like shambo for some reason, I think cause she is the underdog.

Goldie, have a wonderful honeymoon.  That rocket scientist is a handsome man, I still haven't learned everyones names yet, this past couple of years I have really had a problem with names. darn it.

I like Shambo too...... probably for the same reason as you, because she's the underdog, but then again she does seem to be a genuinely nice person.  This week is advertising a little more than rain, maybe we'll get some good strategies going.........

I do believe, comeuppance was used by the female lead actress in The Mummy. (not 100% sure but remember it on some movie)

I hope the survivors have better weather now, need them to get out and about and scheme!

comeuppance:   a deserved rebuke or penalty  (Webster's)

SO what did you all think about last night's vote?  I thought Jaison might get voted off but what's her name (drawing a blank!!!) was a sharper player and more of a threat in the long run.   Probably a good vote, overall.

Sorry I didn't get to this sooner - chemo day.

I felt like the show was still somewhat slow, but a little better than the previous two weeks.  Russell is just afraid of anyone strong and that is what Liz was ....... mentally and she performed in challenges.  I liked her, but I guess in the game of Survivor it's outwit, outplay and that's what Russell did.  My mom also pointed out that when he was talking to the girl from the other tribe (can't remember her name) and she mentioned religion he immediately said he was religious - Russell will say what needs to be said to befriend these people...... I'm sure because it's edited he really has them fooled right now because from what I can tell they just don't see it.   I'm curious to their thoughts when they watch the reunion show and see all of the negative things he's said.

    Jason is a cutie!

As much as I dislike Russell, he is playing a good game.  He makes sure to find a commonality with his 'victims' and they think he is bonding with them.  Although he is taking some of the people I like out of the game, he is doing it wisely.

I loved him telling the visitor from the other tribe not to bother looking for the idol, that Ben took it home with him.  He really is good at deception!  I think it would be funny if he was blindsided and didn't play the idol.  Now that would be stupid, but justified!
