I'm warming up........
-
well, maybe my post will make it to page 300.
I worked today and my knees are aching! UGHH!
Faith, my DH and I are taking salsa lessons right now. We are very new at it and feel self-conscious and awkward. It should get better as the series goes on. We've never taken dancing lessons together before.
hello and hugs to all dust bunnies!
-
I didn't cover a lick of housework today. DH and i started out early this morning with a 4-wheeler ride in the forest. It was SUCH a great ride. There was a fine mist falling, the temp was a little cool, and the only noise that could be heard were our bikes. We stopped at a little creek and had turkey sandwiches, apple and diet coke. Crossed a few small bridges (I have a pic of one). There was a tree over one bridge, so we had to work together to get it moved so we could go around it, over it, or under it. We made it!
This is the small bridge that was easy to get over...
-
Oh, coonie, that sounds great!
I didn't do lick of housework either because I had one of my down for the count days today. And I have to go back to work tomorrow. Which will be fun because it's going to be another sunny, brilliant autumn day, perfect for riding around seeing patients, but I just can never predict my energy anymore, whether I take the Provigil or not. So, I expect I'll be drinking a log of coffee, large, cream only, in my cup holder! LOL
Okay, is this going to start page 300??
This is a photo from a walk I took yesterday with the pooch at a historic cemetery down the street. It was a wet overcast day, which makes the fall colors pop.
-
Kathi,
Just curious as to what part of Rhode Island you live in as I grew up there ( in Bristol ). I live in Florida now and have for nearly my whole "adult life". The picture is so pretty and reminds me of my growing up years.
Pat
-
Kathi oh that is beautiful. The colors are great. I warmed leftovers and washed dishes that was my housework for the day.
-
That's in South Kingstown where I live, Pat. I love Bristol!! One of my favorite RI towns. Like to go on these Christmas house tours in Bristol, whicxh raise money for Linden Place Museum. Then there's Blithewold and Colt State Park and the 4th of July parade... am I making you homesick, Pat???
-
Are we there yet???? Are we on page 300 yet?????
-
Kathi and Coonie- Those pictures are beautiful!!
No housework here today either. Well, I did fold one load of laundry. I am so wiped out from that last Taxol.
I am so jealous of those of you who have gotten their hubbys to dance classes!
Hollyann- Your friend is in my prayers. I am so sorry.
-
Ok, I will chime in to get to Page 300. Actually, my post is a bit serious. I just found out that my uncle (the one who is the same age as me and who had colon cancer 10 years ago) has skin cancer - melanoma. He goes in on Tuesday for blood work, Wednesday for a cat scan and Thursday for surgery (they did take a biopsy but didn't get clear margins). Its at the top of his ear. I am scared it may have spread. Please, prayers for Bobby. Thanks.
-
Kathi,
Actually I was there this Summer for a visit but of course now with the change of the season you have a "new look". Was surprised as to how much you know about Bristol .....sorry to say I do not know much about South Kingston. Have gone to the 4th of July parade many, many times....... a very popular event. And of course Colt State Park....that is what your picture reminded me of! Anyway, thanks for answering my post
-
Kathleen- Prayers said for your Uncle Bobby. And (((hugs))) for you.
-
We're still on page 299???
I can't believe it.Welcome Pat!! We seldom do any sort of cleaning here, but we're a wonderful group.
Prayers for your Uncle.
Today I had the inspiration to start a 'team' for our upcoming AmCancerSociety's walk called, "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer." I've named our team "Away We Go for Heidi Ho." I opened the team at noon and I already have a friend & her daughter & my DD registered........
But the really grand news is that our team has received it's first outside contribution. A very big thanks to our own Jayne for contributing in Heidi's honor.
If anyone is interested in sending friends to the site, I have a link on both my blog & also on FB.
The blog link is top right hand column, above me w/guitar. FB link is under my profile pic.
We only have two weeks till the walk.
Better late than never? So what else is new?? That's how I roll.

-
Faith that is a great team name. You are always on top of getting things accomplished.
-
Kbug. On my team profile I mention you by name!
While the name of the team is in Heidi's honor..... I mentioned walking for SloneDeb, AlaskaDeb, Mena & Toyful.....
And a shout out to some of our Stage IV sisters: saint, Kbug, dream, EWB -- that's who was on the top of my brain at the time.

Mum - your daughter sounds amazing and wonderful.
Thanks all for the prayers for Bobby. He has always been like a brother to me. He is a Viet Nam vet, a father of two and grandfather of four and an all around good guy. I HATE CANCER!!!!!
-
Prayers for Bobby Kathleen.
Mum, your DD is an angel. How nice to come down to the kitchen all tidied up.
Turkey for us today too. It's a lovely sunny (cool) day. I am very thankful.
Gentle hugs all.
Happy Thanksgiving to all us 'up north'.
-
Woo-hoo! Page 300! We are a talkative bunch, aren't we?!
I am off to our second salsa dance class with DH. That is if I can get out of bed from my post-work nap! I am downright physically exhausted from this weekend!
Hugs to all my dusty buns! -
Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends!..
Kathleen prayers for Bobby.....
Too tired for more.....
Love you all....... -
Hugs and prayers. Another boring day for me. Trip to Walmart to get a battery for my watch.
-
Yeah on 300!!
Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian bunnies!
No housework here. Spent most of the day on the couch. It poured rain. The last Taxol has kicked my butt. It's not going away quietly. So being a couch potato seemed like the thing to do. Hoping for more energy and less bone pain tomorrow.
Night all! Sweet dreams!
-
Again, thank you for all your prayers. I know they help in another trying time for him. He and his wife came over last night for dinner. I worry so about him
Mary: Hope you are feeling better today. Isn't this you last Taxol treatment? If you are tired and don't feel good, the best place for you is bed or the couch.
Up early after awakening every couple of hours during the night. Finally decided to get up and come talk to my breast friends.
-
Good morning Kathleen--you're up early this Monday morning. I'm also praying for your friend. So sad! Big hugs to you today!!!
Good morning to all bunnies. Hope your Monday is maaavelous!

I have sheep slippers that I call my Baas.
I didn't know Garfield wore bunny slippers. How appropriate for this thread!
Good morning. It's Thanksgiving Monday here in Canada so now I have to vacuum, dust and windex my glass tables, clean counters and bathrooms and water all my plants and then prepare dinner for 12. Shit. I'd rather be at work!
