1st Ta Ta Sisterhood Reunion in Vegas

found this particular thread just by going to active topics ... some of you may remember that i posted a while back that i went with 27 of our sisters (25 of whom i'd never met) to las vegas almost exactly a year ago. reading all your recent posts brought it back ... isn't it just beyond wonderful to meet these women you've chatted with or posted with and who have helped you through this journey? i still treasure my vegas memories beyond many other things in my life, and i'm married 32 yrs with 2 kids so that says a lot. in the chat room, we're already talking about "doing it again in two thousand ten" this year, many of us are getting together in tampa, fl so i'll get to see some of the wonderful women i met last year, but yeah ... there's just something about vegas that fits, isn't there??? so glad you all had a wonderful time too - maybe next year we'll try to coordinate and all be there together, even if we only run into each other now and then, huh? what's the "paint the square" week?? hugs to you all

Whippetmom - Packergirl asked me for my email addy but I didn't get an email from her with the website information and I responded to her PM but I think she is off-line. Can you send me the site info to ladylebleu@yahoo.com please.
Marlegal - the Paint the Square Pink was the first annual fundraiser for the Susan G Komen foundation. In other words, October is breast cancer awareness month or something like that so they had a kickoff event in Las Vegas that included a silent auction, live music, fashion show, wine tasting and food from 7 different restaurants from the Vegas area. They held it in the largest mall shopping center I had ever seen and they corded off an outside area for the event.
Whippetmom - Firstmate told me I didn't snore. Traceyz said I snored. I think that whoever snores needs to bring some good sleeping aids for the rest of the roommates! Hard not to snore when you are so exhausted from dancing and singing for 5 hours straight!

-
Laura - no worries - the sign and I are returning next year! You can't get rid of me that easy!
-
Jancie: I'll send you the link, but I saw your name on the website as being one of the members....you do need a shutterfly account I think....I needed to put in my password. So set up a shutterfly account first....
-
Whippetmom - I heard back from Packergirl in the meantime and I got on the site and saw the pictures. Thanks for your help!
-
Gisella, I hear you have posted pics on facebook. Is it possible to explain to me how I would be able to see the pics. Okay, I have never been on facebook and not sure what to do.
Just want to let you know that I am going through TA TA Sista's withdrawl. Miss you all.
((((((HUGS))))) Heymoose

This is a funny story. Tracey forgot the bottoms to her bathing suit, so she borrowed a suit from Sandy, who brought 6 (??). She tried it on in our room and thought the top was too small, so she asked me what I thought. I looked at her, and was wowed. I told her, of course, that she looked GREAT! What a stunner! Tracey, you do not realize how beautiful you are! (outside and inside!)
Deborah, you are beautiful and quite a shapely woman, yourself! Man, Vegas was rockin' with all you gorgeous gals!
-
LOL Deborah.... THAT was good... I wonder who snored in our room.....hmmmmmmmmmmmm
hehe
After seeing the pictures on face book this week and Packers... oh.. I miss me some TaTa's..
It was such a lovely time.I miss you gals! I am sure enjoying sharing my stories with my customers here....:)
SUNSHINE>>>>>>>>>>>>> You back yet sister? How did you do?
-
HeyMoose... you just need to sign up on facebook.. it is a private place where you keep in touch with friends..
facebook.com
super easy to figure out. I have about 6 or so Ta Ta's on my facebook.. and the list is growing... you should get one... go check it out....:)... I think I just added Firstmate to mine tonight too..wahoooooooooo
-
Hurry up girls upload your vegas pics on the shutterfly site!!!!!!
-
Ok - being a techno novice - how do I get on the shutterfly account and see the pictures? I'm having vegas withdrawal. Besides, i didn't go to many of the late night events so i want to see what i missed. Somehow sleeping alone without two toddlers seemed more important at the time. Next year, i'm out there with you. I'll just go a day earlier and get that much needed sleep
You all have inspired me to look into reconstruction again - I think I want some ta tas
-
You sweet thing K......
You are so pretty with or without TaTa's.. but if you think you want them.. I say.. GO FOR IT!!!!!PM Packergirl... she will get you to the shutterfly...
-
For Kristina-the techno-novice. PM means Private Message. If you click on Packergirl's name on any of her posts, you have the option of sending her a private message. She will send you one back and it will show up at the top of your screen where it says Private Messages and it will have a number (1 new message).
You'll be experts like the rest of us in no time flat. Now, go up to the search box and type in Reconstruction or Nola. See what you find

How come I can't get on to see the pictures on Shutterfly? Packergirl sent me the link & it says to enter my e-mail,which I do,then it says there is a error. Do I have to open an account to see them? I hate being a computer dummie!!!!! ARG!!!!
-
Susie- Just saw your message- the picture site looks like your in now... If not PM me-- we will figure it out.
-
Thanx Sweetie for resending it in a different form-I joined shutterfly & then it opened up for me. I don't know what the heck was going on yesterday-I lost all my information on my web site & this thread, wouldn't let me log on at all. Got this fixed & the shutterfly, so hopefully can get my web site up & going as well. Now what I need to learn is how to down load my photo's of which I never have done. Quick word up-haven't been myself since I got home-Asthma got worst & now fighting a cold/flu, temp. hit 100.7 yesterday & still dealing with it-ARG I'm so sick of being sick. I need to make a small confession to you TA TA's-I let Jazzy/Clare & Quinn know cause they were my roomies & I want to extend a big Thank you for those watch ful eyes on me. I knew something was wrong before I left on the trip, but I didn't want to miss out on VEGAS!! It wasn't life threating & I let my hubby know the day before I left-OOPS Anyways- I was correct in the fact that I have to have yet another surgery-in fact I have to have 2 which I wasn't even suppose to go thru!! I had sneezed about 2 weeks before the trip & gave myself yet another hernia-CRAP!! It got worst, can't operate yet due to the inflamtion from the last surgery-so will discuss it next month & have to put in mesh so I won't have to deal with this. A stitch hadn't disolved either from the last surgery & I was having a slow drainage from my belly button,so..going in on the 15th to get it cut open & take care of it. This was going on during our trip, but I took care of it & no one was in any health danger nor was I & I had to be there. Jazzy & I kept joking that we would be in the hospital at the same time!! LOL LOL My roomies knew & in case there was a problem we were ready, but everything went well & we all had a blast!! My Dr. even said that it was good that I went, did alot of positive healing & no extra harm was done!! Thank you to all for always being here to get things off our chest!
The photo's are awesome!!!!!! As soon as I figure out or get taught, mine will be there as well!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie
-
Oh Susie. I am so sorry you have to have more surgeries. But I am so glad you came to Vegas. We would have all missed out on your smiling face. Take care and I hope things pick up for you soon!
-
Hello ladies-This is my first time spending time on the boards since Vegas and I just wanted to say thank you to all of those who spent time researching and organizing this trip. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and like everyone else, appreciate all your hard work.
To all those who are thinking about joining us next year...start saving and lets go! All the women were so nice and supportive of each other. There was always something to do, something to see or something to eat!
Breast cancer is rotten, but it is also the thing that brought us together. I am greatful for the nice ladies I met!
Suzie-you have had more than your share of setbacks. I hope everything starts turning for you and you will be on the road to healing and feeling better.
-
(((((((((((((((((((SUZIE)))))))))))))))))))))
Ladies.. it is 60 here.. sun is shining... we played out (band) all weekend... sitting at home... looking outside... tree's are changing.... hubby on Vac. the next two days... grands coming the next three days.... I hope to run 1/2 mile of my walk today... God is good!
Have a GREAT weekend!
-
Suzie, I am so sorry you have to go through two more surgeries. Breast cancer really sucks. I am really glad you made it to Vegas and had a good time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Karen, thanks for walking with our group this morning. We really enjoyed having you with us.
And now hereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee is my Mom, Pat:
tTa. Ta's I so enjoyed meeting all of you girls. I felt very privegled to have had the opportunity to spend time with you. As an oberver, I was overwhelmed with all of your smiles and attitudes. I can't feel what you are all going thru. The only thing I can do is pray for all of you. I came away from the time spent with you all a wiser person for having shared with you. As much as I shared my daughter's journey this past year, what really hit me in Vegas was that you all are really living this every day from the time you wake up to sleep time. For some reason that didn't hit me until the picnic when I was just watching you all and marveling at your having fun , your radiant smiles and hearing the laughter. Thank you for letting me share with you. Pat
((((((HUGS)))))) to all, Cheryl

One thing is for sure...all of us are FIGHTERS!!! Vegas.....when we're feeling down, all we need to do is remember Vegas!! WOO HOO!!!
Susie, if I could go through your surgeries instead of you I truly would! All of us will be praying like crazy for you and your recovery!!
I am counting down the days for mine! I can hardly wait!!!!!!! I was hoping to lose weight before, but Vegas kind of set me back a bit. At this point I don't really care because it was WAY WORTH IT!!!
