Faith, good luck this week!.....Just relax and have a wonderful time!.......I am so happy for you and your your family at this joyous time........
Well my DD is an official driver!....Yep, she got her driver's license yesterday!.......WOW I feel old now!...LOL.......
Arnie, love the greatr news!.....I have diverticulosis too......Must be an age thing?....Anywho, great ig hugs to you.....
Coonie, Happy Belated Birthday to DD!.......22, wow!.........
I love to bake but it gets so hot here in the South that I can only do ti in the fall and winter......In fact tomorrow I have to make 50 cupcakes!......Maybe it would be better to just BUY them!.....LOL
My DD got her driver's license yesterday!...She passed with a 96!.......
EWB, I know what you mean about being grateful.......I am so saddened about Heidi, but at the same time I am relieved for her family because now they can rest assured she is in Heaven and not in pain anymore......I know when my sister Maryann passed in March I was relieved seh was no longer suffering but at the same time I was extremely sad that I would no longer have her in my life.....It is such a hard time when we lose loved ones.......
I have Heidi's address if any of you would like it to send cards to the family........Just PM me..... -
Sad, sad news..
Faith..hope you make a "clean" getaway today...we're all sooooo excited for you!
Hollyann...how cool that dd got her driver's license!
Kak...I hope you start regaining your energy now...
EWB...I remember when my sis was dying last November...I prayed silently while holding her hand for the Lord to give her some of my life... It's sooo frustrating to stand by and watch all the suffering! ((((((((hugs))))))))
To all you beautiful, brave ladies....((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))

I've had a few things on the go here and so I've simply been reading to try to keep up. Rest assured I've NOT been doing housework so my record remains intact.
Gentle hugs to all Dusty Buns.
-
Arnie, you gave me goosebumps. The Lord DID give your sister some of your life. Look at your diagnosis date!
-
Coonie - you don't have to mail the cake - with all the baking going on I just decided to drive to Hollyann's house for cupcakes, EWB for scones and fly over to England for Shiny's muffins. If anyone else is baking, let me know - it is not too late to change my travel itinerary. What I won't do for sweets!
Arnie - wonderful news. I know what you mean about loved ones - I would much rather go through something myself (I tend to think of myself as incredibly strong) rather than watch a loved one suffer.
Sharon - so glad you are keeping your record intact - I would hate to be the only one not doing housework.
Faith - enjoy the wedding festivities!
-
I make a great chocolate mudcake.....how about dropping by on the way home from England.
Big hugs to everyone
Viv
mmmm cake mmmmmmm chocolate
-
I don't see why not! Afterall, Australia is just a short hop, skip and a jump from England - practically neighbors. Sheila - that looks yummy! Two of my favorite things are cake and chocolate and when mixed together - pur bliss!
-
Let me know when you are due to arrive and will light the camp fire and put on a pot of billy tea. lol
Here is Adelaide we have a small chocolate factory which sells the worlds best dark chocolate....think we could fit in a trip to it when you are here.
Hugs
Viv
-
Did you say chocolate factory? Now that's my idea of a tour!
-
OK wrench thrown into my pie for the day.... Needed to take WB over to preschool, cuz they are having their front door replaced, due to storm damage.
So I'm out here @ their place, sitting in car dealer getting oil changed--then back to getWB at the end of his morning.
Have phone. Can post.... Saw that I started a new page without pic.... Yikes....will need to go back & fix from laptop later. LOL
Thanks to all for the travel mercy wishes.... I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!! -
Ooohhhh Vivvy---that cake sounds delicious. Think I'll pop on over too and get a piece
Kathleen--hon, to be honest, that cake didn't last too long....hehe. I'm a bad bad girl when it comes to sweets. As a matter of fact, if I had to live on sweets all the time, I would have no problem doing that!
((((Elaine)))) it's wonderful to have such a great group of ladies to share, laugh, cry, rejoice, on and on with. There are sooooo many times when something good happens, I can't wait to share it with ya'll, or when I'm feeling yuck....ya'll are the one's who understands me. I just love ya'll to pieces.
((KAK)) sugarplum....you know your body better than anybody and you need to do what makes you feel better. I'm gonna hang with the Arimidex for another 3.5 years just 'cause I was HER2+ and high % ER/PR. My GP changed some of my medications around this week, so I'm anxious to see how that makes me feel. She had changed me from Prozac 10mg to Effexor 75mg to help with the hot flashes, but I just wasn't feeling "myself". So now, she wants me to try Prozac 20mg and Wellbutrin together. She's also added something called Clonidin to take at night that should help with hot flashes. So far--so good. We'll see...
Faithie----you're getting a son in the family this week!!! How exciting is that? I know you haven't gone through the "labor" pains, but you HAVE gone through pains pulling it all together. I cannot wait to see the pics. You'll be a beautiful MOB and I know your daughter is going to be just gorgeous!!
Lucy---your life will never be the same again! Once your children start driving, it's a whole new ballgame. You thought she was growing up fast before, well now-------she's GROWN!! When my DD started driving, I bought her an angel that clips to the sun visor of the car, said a prayer over it and just put her in God's hands everytime she gets behind the wheel.
Jayne--how you feeling today? Is the treatment going ok? I think of you often and hope everything is going ok. I know you're getting there----slowly, but surely. Hang in there!
Arnie!! Are you starting rads this month? Didn't you say you would be done with all treatment before the holidays? The sooner, the better, huh? ((HUGS))
MaryRose---you're almost there girlfriend!! Is it 10/6???? One more week!!!! That will definitely be reason for a happy dance.
Shinygirl---You know how much I love your accent and stories. I'm so glad Faith's products have blessed your kids-------and YOU.........hehe. Hope your pain level is being helped with the treatments you're going through.
Barbe---Hope since that "jerk" took some of your commission, you're blessed with quadruples of sales this week!!!
((((Sharon)))) my sweet sweet Canadian friend.......I know your week has been busy and tiring, but I've been sending you hugs and prayers every hour on the hour.
Jane--how are you and your DH doing? Hope everything is ok.
BKC--I think of Porshalin and Felicity all the time. Are they enjoying their rooms?
Julz--I think you're on the go so much, I don't see how you have time to clean house. Slow down girlfriend. They say dustbunnies don't like cold weather anyway, so I think we should all have the whole winter off
Linda--I know you're busy with the boys extra-curricular activities:) How is your DH doing? Is the tongue thing better, or will it get better. Can they give him a prosthetic tongue? LOL
Nancy--hope you're taking it easy today. Sounds to me like you stay pretty busy alot. You encouraged me to wash quilts, blankets, etc. this week. So now, everything smells fresh.
Hugs to all in need today-----I miss MOM, OhioDeb, Lursa, JGrim, 2new1's, Footie, Dejaboo, and anybody else my brain just cannot remember. (((((((((((hugs to ya all)))))))))))))))
-
Viv, I've always wanted to go to Australia. The words "dark chocolate" and "factory" have just clinched it for me. See you soon!! Save some cake!! LOL
Hi, all you sweeties. Faith, I look forward to pix.
I'm sorry to hear about Heidi. I hate this effing disease.
Coonie, believe me, I had to go round and round and did not make the decision lightly to go off the tamoxifen. Each of us has to figure out what's right for us. I would never presume to think I know what's right for someone else. I can't & won't take AI's because I'm already osteopenic and my mom actually died of osteoporosis. I'm much more likely to get that than a BC recurrence. There are no guarantees with any of this anyway. You are always so thoughtful of all of us, Coonie. A shining example to everyone.
And since you mentioned a few folks we haven't seen in a while, Dejaboo, where are YOU??? And Julie, honey, how are you doing?? I know Deb from Ohio is hanging in there because I see her on Facebook. Julz, see you on FB, too. Lursa, 2new1's, Footie, how goes it? Check in once in a while.
I think we should all launch a new treatment protocol that involves Viv's cake. That looks like it would cure anything!
-
I feel a road trip coming on.....
Hugs to everyone
-
Faith try to relax and enjoy the event.I am sure it will all go smoothly.(((hugs)))
I am stapled with drains hanging but after I take my painpill and a gravol I am ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffine. Surgeon took a few lymphnodes for pathology will let you know how that turns out. No housework for me. My DD and DH are spoiling me rotten so I am sitting back and enjoying it.
This is what I was up to last week before my surgery.
-
Beautiful feet MUM. Are they yours?
Take advantage of the pampering. You deserve every second of it.
Can't wait to get a happy dance going when that path report comes back!!
Trusting and believing!!!!
-
Have told husband to start building the guest wing ! lol
Spring here so it is a great time to visit.
Hugs
Viv
-
Road trip? Did someone say road trip??? I'm gonna start packing...Sharon get #32 ready!!! What should I wear? Vivy...Shiny what's the weather like over there??? I'm soooooooooo ready! lol Maybe we can crash Faith's wedding on the way...hehehe
Ohhhhhhhhhh how I love to dream... but alas, have to go to my radiation consultation tomorrow.. and get an EKG. Then get deported Tuesday! Let me know when you all are taking off cause maybe I can use it as an excuse to put off radiation...hmmmmmmmmm
Love and Hugs to all you beautiful ladies!
-
We are over half way there!!!
Stopped for a lovely meal, just the two of us.
You are all wlcome to come as our guests..... Nothing would make me happier or more sane, than to have a few of you or the whole dust bunny tribe in attendance.
Come one, come all!!!!
You're certainly ALL invited to the bbq on Sat night!! -
Arnie.... One of the most "distressing" things to me about rads, was the fact that they permanently tatooed me at my simulation.
I realize in the grand sceme of things -- that's tiddliewinks, but NO one ever even said anything before the minute they did it?????
I have a constillation of 7 blue dots -- little dipper like..... I just wish ANY one would have given me the heads up.

Helloooooo Dust Bunnies.....Running Out the Door as Usual!!!! I think our Dear Faith is about to Pass by to the South of Me Soon!!!! So as I Wave to You All as I am about to Run out the Door! I am Blowing You All a Kiss & Sending Special Hugs to All My Dust Bunnies!!!!
Nite Nite ALL
-
Greetings all dust bunnies!
I am now done with the blood thinning shots and now on coumadin with the tamoxifen. I still need frequent labs to ensure my clotting levels stay within range. Tired tonight, worked the last couple of days. But, now I have three days off! I will not do housework, I promise.
-
When the dust settled I sold just over $247,000 in September! That's a LOT of stuff...I done good!
-
Faith...that's why I love this sight soooooooo much! I get a heads up to just about everything! Hoping you have a wonderful weekend, girlfriend!!!
Xpect...praying your clotting levels stay within range...enjoy your three days off!!!
Barbe...you have done good girlfriend!!!
Here's hoping all you dustbunnies have a blessed day!!!
-
Congrats barbe, you done REAL good !!! Cheryl, no housework for you for sure. On to the next phase arnie. Yesterday I got cauliflower ear from phone calls - pre authorization, make appointment, get referral from primary - I need a secretary and this is only "follow up" stuff.
Anyone else bummed out with it getting dark earlier and earlier in the evening? I had been walking in the evenings, but guess it will have to be in the afternoons now. I am not a get up and go in the morning person - been there, did that for years. I may be up, but the go -- it "went"...!!!
Happy Friday, keep happy and healthy. Hugs, Nancy
-
That's better!!!! hehehe
-
lefty... so funny you said that...I was on the phone alot yesterday too! With radiation office supervisor who turned out to be a real gem! We did our business and then talked for a 1/2. What a neat gal... She told me to stop by the office and ask for her so we can put faces to the voices. Then on the phone with pre-op for port removal. That gal, Marie, was nice too but insisted I have an EKG before procedure. So that adds another hour on top of the radiation consultation.. One thing I have really appreciated through all of this is my onocologist's office gals have taken care of all my referrals etc. They think we're going through enough soooo they make the extra effort.
To get you going this morning lefty... lol
and here's some java!!!
-
Thanks arnie - I always do coffee, but the food is a special treat. Much more appetizing than cereal.
-
You're welcome!!!
-
Nancy,the correct saying is:
My get up and go
Got up and went!Arnie, cool food pics of true artistas at work!
