Happy belated birthday, Wren!!!!!!!!!!!
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Good Morning, I just have to get through today and then the weekend.
-
Happy late birthday Wren, I'm not that far behind you. I will be 48 on Oct 12.
Lisa, you hot momma you! Going to clubs with your new man!
Today I have to leave work early to help organize the 'fashion show' and decorate the hall for the local Komen luncheon on Saturday. I am still fighting the allergies and sinus problems. I probably do need some antibiotics but don't want to go to the doctor
.
Sheila
-
Take care Shelia, have FUN LISA- LOTS OF FUN.
Happy belated Wren, Gee I am the oldie I turned 49 in June, the big 50 next year, never thought I would say that 3 years ago.
HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX
-
I'm the oldie....I turned 51 last May...
-
If you feel that you are the oldie, Barbe, I won't try to dissuade you ... LOL ....
-
Ok Barbe you can have the honor -LOL.
Well ladies although I am exhausted, tired, sore , and hating my house right now, I feel such mental relief knowing that some sort of normal will return to my life soon, I hope so anyway the onco called yesturday wanting to know when and why I have not scheduled my scans - UGH no way not right now.
I am so excited about our forcast for the mid part of next week, a cold front coming through that will drop overnight temps to low 70"s and daytime to about 85 with a break in the humidity, even those of us who love Fla weather, by this time of year after 4 months of hot-hot- humid sticky stuff are waiting for the break - I can sense the doors and windows opening soon. LIFE IS GETTING GOOD AGAIN!!!!
Ed and I are going bedroom set shoping this week end we have needed/wanted, a new set for awhile now, when Amanda said she was coming and not bringing her set because it was junk we decided to wait, what we have will make them a good starter, we need something with more support , HUM wonder how soon we can test it out - LOL. 14 days and counting.
-
Okay Helen, now that you were the first to blink....I won't tell everyone that YOU are older than ME!
hehehehehehehehe
I was wondering who would say something first!
Cathi, I want to sell you your bedroom suite! And a new mattress too!
-
Sorry children. I win the seniority contest hands down. Well, actually it is someone else I won't mention, but I think I'm in 2nd place at age 66. I swear I don't feel a day older than 86! er....46....depending on whether we're talking spirit or body...lol.
Have a great weekend everyone!!!
Judie
-
Happy Birthday to all. I just turned 21 for the second time!!!!! That is not 21 and holding, that is 21x2. LOL
Cathi, here is to getting your life back to normal!!!!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!
-
Well Barbe make me a great deal, and do you deliver to Florida free??????
Thanks Mary, I almost feel ashamed for having so much excitement inside of me. They will be 3.9 miles away, thought it was further - LOL, but far enough. Even with all my ranting Landen and I have become quite close, he and I have spent a ton of time together these past months and he knows mine and Ed's expectations as much as a 1 year old can, but he doesn't TRY US , like he does mom and dad, so it will be nice to have him come and visit without them and we can continue that bonding just as Alexcis and Brandt have done, and poor Alexcis she hasn't been over to stay in such a long time,, visits but no sleep overs, she calls me all the time and says ME-MA I miss you.
I guess next June Mary I will celebrate my 25th B'dayX2.
Good Night all, I really should go to bed it is 11:30 but not feeling to sleepy - tired, but not sleepy.
-
Happy belated birthday Wren! I haven't been checking here quite as often lately so I tend to miss things.
love to all
Jane xoxox

The age thing is funny because in many ways I still feel 19......too bad the body doesn't......yup, I blinked first, barbe.....LOL...someone once said to me that the days go slowly but the years go quickly.
-
Oooooo very deep Helen....the days go slowly...NOPE, doesn't work for me, but I heard a great one yesterday:
The years are flying by but I am the pilot!
Time, years, days, whatever works for you.
That was in the meeting that I had to drive an hour down and then an hour back on my day OFF! Couldn't they just have emailed it! I figured if it was bad news they wanted to yell at us, if it was good news they would have sent an email. God forbid they pat us on the back! I've sold over a million dollars this year and our busiest time is coming up. Someone give me a hug!
-
(((((barbe)))))
-
(thanks Helen) I just reread my post, I guess I was a bit upset this morning....
-
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Barbe,
Helen not sure if I think I am 19 or not, but I think I brain says somewhere around 32ish, but like you the body says NO WAY.
We were bedromm shopping sense 9AM, took 6 hours and we finally found what was PERFECT!!! And it is so dam hot today, stores of coarse have A/C but just walking in and out YIKES, hurry up cold front. We wen't to every new furniture store Fla has to offer and found nothing that we liked or would actually work/fit our bedroom, we were about to give up , headed home and went by this POSHY-POSHY Consignment shop we have bought lots of things from, and there it was,
beautiful, brand new rattan set (5 pieces) it was in a spare bedroom an elderly couple had in their condo, the wife passed away and husband consigned everything to move in with his children, absolutely gorgeous, and the best thing being married to a car dealer - he knows how to work a deal, we got the headboard, dresser, chest & night stand & mirror for $489, plus each piece has cut glass on the top to protect it, beautiful nice beveled glass, so bought and paid for, went on our way and purchased the new mattress and box springs, we love Fla consignment shopping, bedroom set arrives Sunday, mattress on Monday, things are looking up.
And the nicest surprise of all I should share after all my ranting is Amanda was home alone as SIL was working, we got back and she had done a great job of dusting, sweeping and cleaning the tiles in kitchen area, cleaned the bathroom they are using, very happy very empressed, I said thank you so much and she smiled and said I fiqured we should try and leave the house somewhat as clean as when we arrived,
IT WAS A GOOD DAY.
-
Cathi, glad you had a GOOD DAY. The new bedroom furniture sounds beautiful. All you need now are some high quality Egyptian cotton sheets and you'll never want to leave the bedroom. Also seems that Amanda has learned a lot from being raised by you and she has not forgotten everything you taught her. Barbe, I hope your day has improved.
-
Thanks Helen for your kind words. It has been a tuff 2 months, and I certienly am looking so forward to having my home again and hubby time, but I do REALLY thank God everyday that my children are close and I am able to love and enjoy my grandchildren, doesn't change the fact that every now and again they GET UNDER MY SKIN- LOL. But I love them.
The SIL's - well that takes a lot - LOL
-
Hi Ladies and UB. Boy , what a day , what a week , nope , what a year!lol Oh well , what is the saying ,"that , that does not kill us makes us stronger". I don't know about that. I think chemo half killed me. Especially my brain cells! Memory cells to be exact. Well , in thoughts of Ulla , "there's always tomorrow at Tara"! And speaking of Ulla,
ULLA IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Soooo good to see you here sweetie. Love the pic of you and you darling mom. Congrats on finishing your schooling. Your hair looks amazing. Hows the hubby doing? Hows all your family? Bet they were sooo glad to see you. I hope you are doing well , and life in Sweden is good. Love you girl.xxxxx
Oh Judie , I am so jealous! Jasper is a doll-baby! What a smart and cute lil' fur-baby. I'm so happy for you. Nothing like the smell of puppy's breath , and puppies feet! Their feet smell like Frito's!lol
Have fun with her-him?xxxxx
Barbe , Big , big hugs to you girl. You are doing a fantastic job for your company. They just better recognize it! How have you been feeling? Hope all of your aches and pains are gone. xxxx
Karen , the house is looking great! Can't wait to see pics of when you are all moved in.xxxx
Cathi , sooo good to hear of all your great news. Still praying for the baby. And your daughters.
And of course you! That bedroom set sounds awesome! Pics please. Aww , what a nice surprise from your daughter when you returned home. See , she is mommy's girl. Big hugs to her.xxxx
Jane , Hows Blossom doing? Has she settled back at home? I hope all is well with you and your family. And it is spring there now isn't it? I bet the mountains are beautiful in the springs.Hugs and love to you Jane.xxxx
Shirlannnnnnnnnnn, are you back from your cruise yet? Hope you had a great time. Would love to see some pics and here one of your fabulous stories! Love you ,xxxxxx
Oh Lisa , I am soooo happy for you. Is this really your soul-mate?! How wonderful. Isn't it funny how fast things can change. We sometimes feel like we were meant to wander this world alone , and then BAM! You find them. That is so awesome. I hope you to had a good weekend together.
And I think it is time for a pic of you two. Barbe or Fumi can download it for you. No excuses. I want to see that special smile he puts on your face.
Praying for Olivia. Poor baby. I hope whatever she is having to deal with , will soon be resolved. And Antonio is going with you to Fla.?! Wooooohooooo! Have fun in Fla , but don't get arrested for making wild , crazy , monkey love on the beaches!lolxxxxx
Well , I was gonna come here , and pour my heart out Friday. I was feeling SOOOO anxious. It was the day for my Onc. visit. I don't know why , but when I have a longer break from seeing him , it makes it worse for me. But sometimes , I close off from everyone when I feel this way. But , I went , and all is well. Thank God. And I wanted to ask you ladies , when you go see your onc , does he examine your surgery sites and breasts? I don't know , I just think its weird , that after two yrs. since my Diep surgery , that he still examines my scar areas on my stomach , and a breast exam everytime. I guess I shouldn't complain. He is being diligent with me. And I do like him. We communicate well. And that means alot to me , in a doc. Now that I said it out loud, I feel kinda silly. I guess I don't like people looking at my body , all fat and rolling everywhere!lol.
My "roommate" is doing good. He just has no balance. He fell last Saturday. Scared the hell out of me. He was OK. He walks at times without the walker , but he has to hold on to the furniture or walls. He is always wanting to fall backwards. One day at a time...
Happy be-lated birthday Wren! I hope it was a good one. And I think , birthday wishes to Mary too? I'm not sure where I fit on the age-line , but I am 52. Hey I'm a full deck!lol
Nancy , So sorry to hear about your father. If I haven't told you already. I'm sorry you are going through such troubling times with your brothers. After all you have been through , you think they would be a little more helpful and understanding. I think you should be the one to stay in the house. Oh , by the way , I love your new avatar. Your hair has come in nicely. How are your children doing? I remember the gorgeous pics of your daughter's prom. She is so beautiful. Hope everyone is doing well.xxxx
Hi Sheila , hope you are feeling better. Did you get to go to the reunion? If so , I hope it was good. How is your DH and son doing? Hope all is well with them.
Do you think you will get another dog? After seeing Judie's Jasper , I want one! Hugs to you.xxxx
Sue , where are you? AE , where are you? I hope all is well , and you are both busy doing fun things. And where is Fumi and Jule?
hrf , I agree with that saying , as long as I'm at work! The days always go long at work , unless I am super busy. But I know the older I get , time is flying by. I remember when I was a youngster , the grownups would say , "go play! , soon you will be old and time will fly by"! At the time I thought , time go by so slow , they are crazy! But now , I agree! I hope you are having a great weekend.
Well , I am going to post this before I loose it! We all know how aggravating that can be. Love to you all , and hope you all are having a good moment. Mel
-
Hi Mel! It's always so great to hear from you! I'm so glad to hear that all went well at your onc visit. I have one on Oct. 9 and I'm already anxious. I don't think you're silly at all about feeling weird when he examines your scars. I don't like my onc looking at my fat rolls either--and she's a woman!! My dh hasn't seen me completely naked in nearly a year. I'm just so self-conscious. I hate it!
Cathi, I want to see pics of your new bedroom set when you get it. It sounds beautiful! I'm so proud of Amanda for stepping up and doing some housework. Good girl, Amanda!!
Wow, Barbe! You are a furniture-selling dynamo! That's amazing. Hope things are better today. ((((((Barbe))))))
Love and hugs to all,
Karen

We had a great weekend together, in and out of the bedroom!! He met Matthew and his parents, and that went really well! Weekend is over, and I should go to bed to get up for work Monday, but I can not sleep.
Hope all had a great weekend, it rained here, but I finished all my laundry, so that was good.
On the 21st of Oct, I will be going for my first post TX mammo, gyno appt and possibly breast MRI(due to BRCA2+ results) I am a bit nervous.
Have a great week!!!!
-
Barbe, I don't remember if you asked about my cold on this thread or another, yes I am still suffering after a week of sinus drainage. My husband is insisting that I go to the doctor today, my gp doctor's office is an urgent care office that will see minor emergencies without appointments so I am going at lunch. I am not running a fever but my head and chest are so congested. I have been taking Mucinex & sinus pills for 5 days and still no relief. I got too warm last night and had a coughing fit last night (1:00 am) that scared my son. I had gone to the bathroom to cool off and get a drink of water. He came to the bathroom to see if I was ok. fortunately I was able to grab a bath towel to protect my modesty before he got to the door.
-
Ulla , Mel and AE- great to see you all! So sorry to hear about the colds and fevers and all, hoping all is well other than that.
Lisa- I think the right person always shows up when least expected...sounds like things are good
Karen- how is all in construction land?
Barbe- whats new with you? Things settled down from all the weddings?
Cathi - one day closer
. sounds like a nice arrangement, close but not next door; easy to visit when you want but to have the house back...really good thing. How is all with Amanda and the preg? Do the girls get along? Nice to have everyone nearby.
Hoping everyone is well (and recovering from assorted coughs, colds, fevers etc) and enjoying the sun.
-
I certainly can relate to how you're feeling as I was just diagnosed a week ago. Now I have to undergo so many tests to determine the stage of my cancer and whether some cells have traveled to my bones, liver or lungs.
I waited 10 days to get the results of a painful biopsy so I know how you're feeling about the anxiety of waiting. I can't offer you any answers as to how dangerous it may be to wait. I'm sure your doctor is perfectly in control of this and is not risking your health regardless of how crowded the halls of cancer may be.
You are in my thoughts and my prayers.

Hi Sharingwithu...this post was originated over 2 years ago by our dear Sue. Feel free to come back to this thread..we will help you along the way.
VAL!!!!!!!! It's good to see you stranger!!! Glad your onky apt went well. Poor UB...so he is a redsox fan huh? Well, thank God he isn't a Tribe fan like me...we had a horrible year!
Mel..you are so sweet! Sometimes I feel like I have to pinch myself!! Tony and I have both said, it feels like we are in a really good dream!! A dream that will never end! How is your job going? Any signs of layoffs? I know you have mixed feelings about it. If you were to lose, you would move to where your family is right? How is Adam and his g/f doing?
Sheila..glad to hear you are going to the doctors. That much congestion with no relief from medicines probably needs an antibiotic! It seems like everyone is sick in some form! I had a slight fever this morning. I took 600 mg of ibuprofin. Feel a little better with the fever and headache. But, my throat still hurts and just feel like I could sleep, sleep, sleep!
I signed up to do an American Cancer 5k walk in Orlando!! It's on October 31. Tony (I think) is going with me, and Olivia and her roomate too. My friend Geyson, that I used to work with here, works in Orlando, and he is our team captain. When he found out I was coming...he cried! He is so sweet!
Speaking of Olivia, thank you all for your prayers! She is doing SO MUCH better!! She is actually enjoying herself and having fun. I hope she stays there all year, and even continue next year. We shall see. She text me on Friday to say that in her acting class she had to do a monologue with her teacher, and when she finished, the class gave her a standing ovation!!! How thrilling, esp. from your peers! The character was a drunken whore, who thought she was better than everyone else and rich!! Not sure if it was improve or not. Very happy for her!
Back to work..hope everyone is doing well.
Sue...........check in with us please!!!
xoxo
Lisa
