If I had the $$ I would TOTALLY do LOVE!!! I can't even tell you how badly I want to see that show! Someday. :-)
I was in Vegas in July and it was warm all night long! But that WAS summertime. :-)
I don't think it matters what we end up doing Sat night since you can clearly see we all want to be together!!! WOO HOO!!!!!
I do think that somebody...Gisella....should just decide what it is we should do so we have a plan. :-)
Gisella I hope your neck is better today!
My son is going with me today for my herceptin treatment. He has never been to one of my treatments so I'm excited...I know, how in the world can you get excited about herceptin treatment...haha. It's just that he is 23 and just moved back home a few weeks ago. I just LOVE having my kids here!!
Let the plannning begin! I hope to see a lot of posts when I get back!!
HUGS!
-
Jazzy - I am not going to any shows - so if you need a buddy to hang out with that time we can get together and do something like gamble at the penny machines and get free drinks all night long.
-
This blows....I wrote a long detailed post and it is not here. Oh Well...
I called NY-NY. We can reserve the chairs but have to be there by 8:00pm to keep them. The truth is we will not get a seat in a popular fun bar in Vegas unless we are there early or pay for table side service and that is expensive ( per reservations suggestion, I am trying to get a hold of the group manager to see if they can work something out for us, no promises). Please do not forget we also have free pass at Coyote Ugly ans the martini bar if we want to try that.
If we want to do something else, I am there just let me know.
Also, we are supposed to have free passes to Jet at the Mirage for Friday night, also we have buy one get one free drinks at Kahunaville.
Any suggestions or ideas, please let me know.
Hugs
Gisella

OK Another updated, just got off the phone with NY-NY. They will hold our chairs until 10:00pm Saturday night. If we are not doing this or not all of us are coming I need to call them and change the reservation. Please let me know if this is going to work out or if I should cancel the reservation.
Hugs

Update #3. Please read all 3 emails, I got another call from NY-NY, another way to hold the table would be to buy a beverage package. What this means is $65.00 per person, this would include a guaranteed table (I am hoping my other reservation is pretty secure but I do not know how guaranteed), this also includes the $25.00 for entry and seat and 2 hours of premium open bar. This comes out to be to $25 for the seat and $40 in drinks and we have 2 hours to consume that. Drinks in Vegas are pretty expensive so this is actually not a bad deal if you drink alcohol. I am throwing this out there because it is an option. Please let me know.
Please give your input or pm me if you have any questions.
Hugs

Thanks for all your efforts Steph and Gisella...
... I don't always pipe up because I do not really care where we go ( other than the Pink event).. I will just go with.. as long as we are together. I love just checking out the hotels and such... I will definalty ride a roller coaster...:)... I will go to any club with you all... and love to dance.. ( Tracey does too)...I SUCK at dancing... I dance like a white girl...LOL LOL.. but I do it anyway.. like no one is watching...

I love to play slots.. penny, nickel,dollar , dime.....LOL....
I love sight seeing and shopping... the pool sounds good...
... I think Steph is right.. we need a week!I look forward to the Lunch/dinner at the Belagio (sp)... all of us ..wonderful!
I am a club girl.. ( due to hubbys band and such)..
I like comedy shows ( not Jay Leno though...YUK...hehe)
I wish there was a way to get this all figured out online..LOL... We might have to all get there... and have a meeting together... Since Friday is our meet and greet and fun fun fun.. .. we can dicuss some ideas...and then..Saturday Morning over Breakfast might be a great time to decide it all! Bring the list of things to our Breakfast table... Then we can all say..Yes and No.. and plan it all then.
GISELLA... where is our "buy one get one" breakfast buffet at? We could set a breakfast time of say....10am/11am and then all get together again there.. and plan away???
Steph and Gisella and all ladies.. what do you all think of that?
It just seems so hard for our dear Steph and Gisella and any more of you to try to do this online...
I would not want your job....bahhhhhhhhhhhh
-
O boy.. I was posting while Gisella was posting...
Since we have to hold the table..it does sound like we need to deside about the Sat. Night event... thanks Gisella...

The high on Saturday is supposed to be 100 degrees. The low is 71. Here in the desert, our hottest temps are in the afternoon (between 2-5 pm). We don't have any ocean breezes or anything like that to cool us down. The coolest is in the very early AM. The good part is that it is very dry (usually 10% humidity). It doesn't look like it will be windy, but you never know. The temps change quickly out here. One moment it's 100 and sunny, the next it's 80 and we have clouds.

Whatever you all plan to do on the Strip, it will be fun. Sometimes just hanging out by the pool or inside at a casino bar is enough entertainment. I've been to Vegas with friends (when I lived in So Cal). It is sometimes hard to keep to a schedule because it's a 24 hour town! It's normal to stay up all night... "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas..." LOL!!!
-
I emailed the Susan G Komen office and let them know approx 25 gals would be coming in from all over the country. I told them it was the Ta Ta Sisterhood from the breastcancer.org forum. I hope they make a special announcement. I saw that they'll have a survivor celebration. Seems pretty cool! My hubby and a few of our friends will be joining us.

Hello again, the only point we need to decide before Friday is the Piano Bar, if we are not doing the piano bar Saturday after the event I have until Friday mid-day to cancel without being charged $50.00. If we want to do the $65.00 Beverage service, I need to let them know ahead of time and sign paperwork.
The Buffet is a $7.99 per person Buffet at Treasure Island. I am supposed to go to Treasure Island Friday and pick the coupons up.

WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE all of this ACTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK I love Laura's idea about planning when we are there. I'm hoping we can get reservations for the breakfast saturday....10/11am sounds perfect...brunch time. :-) I'm just wondering if the paint the square thing is come and go as you please event or if they have scheduled things happening the entire 6-9pm.
If we don't have a reserved table at a club....we probably won't see much of eachother if we go into a club like coyote ugly..I can see u s in small groups maybe...and maybe we can dance around eachother...lol I don't know what the answer is. I do LOVE the idea of having FREE covers and think we need to take advantage of that.
Maybe we should just go to Kahunaville for our 2 for 1 drinks after the paint the square. Then maybe Sunday go to piano bar, get there early and stand in line or something? lol I don't know I'm just rambling with my fingers. haha
-
Oh wow Gisella posting at the same time! cool!!!
-
Jancie I love your thinking girl!! WOO HOO!!!
I think Susie's choreographer friend got us tickets for a show on Friday night 10:30.
Oh hey what if after the paint the square we go back to mirage, change clothes and freshen up then go to Jet since it's at our hotel....I still like the 2 for 1 drink idea too...and coyote ugly...lol come on girls pipe up here!! haha
-
I think moving the panio bar to Sunday night would be a great idea
what do you other ladies think about that???
-
OK if we move Jet to Saturday, somebody needs to call and try to get in the guest list for Jet. You call the concierge at the Mirage and tell them you are with the Breast Cancer Survivor group. Once that is done I can cancel my reservation for Friday. Otherwise cover charge for Jet is $35.00 per person. If we change the Piano Bar for Sunday (I do not know if it is open on Sunday, Jet is not open) One of you ladies that can be there when you check in needs to call and make the reservation. I am going with Steph to a show on Sunday, so I will not be there to go to the bar and check in, of course I would join you ladies later after our show is done regardless of time, it is Vegas, who need to sleep...LOL
I know with all the action in this board we can pipe in and get to a decision about the piano bar reservation on Friday within the next 48 hours.
I cannot wait until Vegas.
Gisella
-
Gisella if we are on the Jet list for Friday I think we just need to KEEP IT!! Plan on going somewhere else after the paint the square thing....I think we need to decide if we want to pay the $65 or go somewhere else...like the 2 for 1 drinks...or coyote ugly.
It looks like the reservation rates for the piano bar for sunday is cheaper...
Reservations
Sunday-Thursday: $15/per seat
Friday-Saturday: $25/per seat
*Rates above are per person. Reservation prices include cover charge.Bar open 24 hours, Piano hours: 8pm-2am.
-
Jazzy do not forget The reservation I have right now is $25.00 seats held until 10PM (somehow I do not have a warm fuzzy that these seats are going to be there until 10PM) If we decide to do the $65.00 I need to call them. I need to call by Friday mid-day to cancel the $25.00 a person reservation if we are not going to use it Saturday. I really hope this makes sense.
I think if we go to paint the square on Saturday and want to go and change to come back to the Piano Bar we are going to be back tracking (Piano Bar is casual and we can go in the same attire as pain the square...yikes). Our hotel (If I understood it correctly from the reservation agent I spoke to) is at the opposite side of the strip in relation to paint the square and NY-NY . Now I am rambling...LOL.
hugs
Gisella
-
OH DUH I'M A SPACE CADET!!!! YES! I've got it now....
OK I think we should keep the $25 reservations...but like you said if they didn't save them for us...then we can go to coyote ugly it's in the same place right??
We can start a list of who wants to pay the $65...
-
I am going to have to decline for the 3 of us, I am just not going to pay 65.00 to get into a bar, even with open bar for 2 hours.
Teresa
-
Teresa I sent you a pm go check it out. :-)
I vote that we stick with our $25 reservation at the piano bar. They say they will hold until 10pm....if they have given our seats away then we just go somewhere else... and wing it.
-
Jazzy I tend to agree with you. I think $65 is good if you are a drinker and drink fast, otherwise if you nurse a drink I do not think so. I say $25 Saturday or $15 Sunday.
I want it to throw it out there to see if anybody was interested
hugs
Gisella
-
I just have to add my 2 cent's in...I'm not a fast or heavy drinker, so the $65.00 is out for me. I want to spend as much time possible with all of you-so I'm still for the Coyote Ugly or Piano bar or wing it!! Yes My friend does have ticket's for a show for Jazzy/Clare & me on Friday nite at 10:30. As we get closer this thread get fuller & so many post's,it's hard to keep up LOL LOL
Only 2 more days Ladies!!! VEGAS HERE COME THE TA TA SISTA'S!!!
Take care Chow XOXO Susie
-
Oh ladies... I am too confused....
-
I MUST GO TO THE PIANO BAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS THE RIGHT THING TO DO! LOL, SO COUNT ME IN!!!!!!!!
-
just sharing this if the gals didn't click on the link about the paint the sq pink...
Saturday, September 26, 2009
Town Square Las Vegas and the Southern Nevada Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure invite you to join us once again as we Paint the Square Pink, September 26th from 6:00-9:00pm. Kick off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October with a trendy fashion show featuring Town Square retailers, wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, silent auction, live entertainment, and Survivor celebration. This terrific evening will be co-hosted by KLAS Channel 8's own Alyson McCarthy and Scott Allison from the Clark County Fire Department.
Do some folks have plans Sunday night??? or would we want to consider the panio bar that night??? Sat $25 or Sunday $15 either one is good
I just don't want to rush out of the paint the sq pink in case it run long
-
I am willing to pay the $65 for reserved seat and all you can drink in 2 hours - that is the Piano Bar right? That is where I am confused! I can down a lot of drinks in 2 hours but I might need some one to keep me on my feet and make sure I get back to my bed that night and not some strange bed!
Oh and how fast is the service? Because if you are having to wait forever to get drinks then they are coming out ahead on the $65 charge! We have strange liquor laws in Utah. We can't order 2 drinks at a time. They can't bring you your second drink unless they take away your first drink before handing you your second drink. We are also limited to how many ounces of liquor in each drink so you have to order side cars if you want a double vodka drink.
Now was I able to confuse anyone on this? I hope so because ya'll have me totally confused on what we are doing besides Paint the Square Pink and knowing that I am monitoring the Starbucks table at the airport from 12 noon until 4 pm.
-
Sweet Jancie.. is that ok.. to monitor the table.. if not... it is time to speak up and say so.. it is NOT your duty.. no way...
-
Laura - no problem with the Starbucks table - I LOVE COFFEE! The problem is that once I start drinking it and hit the bathroom once, it is like beer - every 20 minutes I have to pee! I don't mind at all - as long as you wait for me to get there so that I can at least meet you in person before you head to the hotel! Oh, and when we meet, give me the times that people are coming in so I know when to expect them.
-
Jancie.. I will PM you the times. ... there are five ladies landing after you. The last flight lands at 3:40... but I will let you know for sure...
I have the sign... in a 9X11 frame... it can sit on the table.. as you head off to.. um... "pee" lol... you are a riot!
-
I am in for the Piano Bar on Sat or Sunday...just add me to the list.. I can prepay if we need to
Deborah, Diane and Sandy.. Pm me about payment of the hotel rm.. I have been "thinking"
