Hi Barbe, no the tractor did not get purchased, I guess maybe I sound mean, but Landen has plenty of toys he dos not play with, he does not go without, all us moms know a 1 year old would rather have a box or a paper to rip than a $25 toy anyway, nothing shuts Bill up though,
Hope everyone has a great Sunday, Ed is all happy football season has started, all though his Buc's will most likely do awful this year he is a die hard fan, second favorite team the Steelers being PA born and raised .
LOVE TO YOU ALL -- XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Cathi, you don't sound mean, you sound sane!!!!!

Girlfriends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This girl is on cloud 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sorry, I started to read through the posts...but I was so excited to post myself...that I didn't finish.
But..before I forget...Mel..thanks..the car was expensive, but running good now! And you were right...I was still with Tony...and yes Hot Italian!! Also, Dennis is still doing ok..his tumor has shrunk.
Barbe....Wayne from Rochester....ended up being a loser! Never called, not sure what his issues were..but I didn't want any part.
Cathi.......You and I sound so much the same. I used to be so OCD about my house! I think even though that has changed, I would not be able to tolerate all of what you are going through!! Poor thing.
Jane..so happy Blossom is with you. I can just picture her on your lap.
Sue....HAPPY 40TH!! AND HAPPY 2ND ANNIV OF BEING CANCER FREE!!! Without you, we would not have made all of our wonderful friendships..that I cherish dearly.
Ok...HERE IS MY SCOOP!!!!
Let me start by saying, my heart has never ever felt this wonderful and full. I knew by our emails and long phone conversations, that this guy was SPECIAL. He is everything and more that I have been looking a lifetime for!!! OMG....I can't contain my excitement!! I walked into work this morning...and my friend said...wow...how was your weekend? She said...something good happened, because you are glowing!
Tony is 1/2 Italian and half Russian (just like me italian and Ukranian). He is 55 yrs old, 5'10, nice build, good looking, smells good, dresses nice. Anyhow..he lives 3 hours East of me. At first I didn't want to even talk to anyone that far away (wayne..issue) but, after his 1st email...on the dating website...he started it off with Ciao Bella!! Well....he had me at hello! lol. I love for someone to talk to me in Italian, which he knows allot of and wants to teach me!
Ok...I am rambling..but...so so happy! We decided to meet 1/2 way at an huge outlet mall. I got out of the car Friday at about 12:30pm...and he was there...with roses for me! He looked like his pictures...and I felt instantly that I was seeing my old friend! We conect on so many levels it's unbelievable! We have the same values, love chilren...but are excited for grandkids. He has 3 kids all married and one daughter is expecting his first grandchild. Anyhow...I go home the next day at 3:45am!!! I will try and make a long story....short, if I can! We went and had a drink and lunch right away. Then we shopped allot...looking mostly. I helped him pick out shoes, and I bought some books. He bought me the book "Twilight", because he said it was a beautiful love story. From there, we went in his car to Erie PA, which was about an hour drive. It's on Lake Erie. We drove to the beach, and walked in the sand....but the weather wasn't cooperating, so it was cut short. Then we drove around the really quaint town. We stopped at a really cool place and had a delicious dinner. Then we went to a place he has been too before, that is a bar and has Karaoke. He loves to sing, and he does it pretty well. He sang several songs...and 2 were for me! We slowed danced...and had a great evening. Then he drove me back to my car...1 hr away...bought me coffee, because he was concerned about my drive home. I AM IN LOVE!! Plain and simple..not sure if that can be after one date...but I felt in in my heart...and it's real, it feels great, and I prayed allot about it on my way to meet him. And nothing has ever felt so right in my whole life like this does.
He is honest, loving, romantic, kind, caring...and he has told me over and over again...that I will come first in his life. He knows my past, and he is not afraid at all of the BC, because his ex wife of 19 years had BC, and had a radicle mastectomy (no reconstruction) and he is very familiar. He said he will love me forever, and wants me to be in his life. He wants to take care of me he said, if I will let him (he knows already how stubborn and self sufficient I am), he wants to spoil me. He is such a complete gentleman...I am blown away.
Yesterday...he drove to my house (3 hrs) We watched a movie and had dinner at my place. Then he slept on the couch (that was very difficult)!! We had a good make out session, but want to wait for the right time to be intimate!.
Well...girls....can you tell I am floating?? I think God has answered my prayers....he is the man for me. I feel it with every inch of my being!!
Ill be back in a bit!! back to work!
Thanks to all of you!! I couldn't wait to get on here and share!
BTW...he took his profile off POF, and I took off my pictures, and deleted my words...then added...I AM GLAD I GOT BACK ON POF...AND THANKS TO POF, I FOUND THE MAN OF MY DREAMS. ALL THE BEST TO EVERYONE OUT THERE LOOKING.
I did that mostly for all the guys I had given my number too, but took forever to call me...and just emailed. I am sure they are thinking...WTF? haha.....too late..snooze you lose! haha...I WON!!!
xoxo

I will have a good Sunday, because I too am happy that football season has started. I however am not watching the early game, since I get the Eagles, and I have vowed not to watch them until they fire Michael Vick.
Glad to hear everyone is doing good.
-
OH LISA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you sure he slept on the couch young lady?
Wow , a hot Italian-Russian! OK , the important question , what sign is he?lol I am so happy for you , I can't stop smiling. I can just imagine that you are floating. Did you go 90 to Erie? If you did , then you past my exit for Geneva. But I'm sure you didn't see it with all the stars and hearts floating around you and "Antonio"! I just love when two people make "the" connection. Hey , and since he came to your house , the really important question , did Oliver approve of him?
Boy , work is gonna fly by today. You may even enjoy it! Good luck to you both , you deserve to be happy with someone to spoil you. Love you Lisa , Ciao Bella! tee-hee...
-
Yippie Lisa - so glad all was a wonderful time. I don't know that I actually FELL IN LOVVE with Ed on our first date, but I sure did have "The FEELING" he was something special and A KEEPER.
-
Lisa, first WOO HOO! second, I believe in love at first sight. My DH and I haven't been apart (excepet for hospitals) for 16 YEARS! We kiss when one of us gets up to go to the bathroom! People often say..."are you guys really married"?
-
Lisa - WOW! Loved reading everything about your new gorgeous man. How romantic! How exciting! Can't wait to hear more. My very best wishes for a wonderful and forever love match.

Thanks sisters!!!
Barbe...that is so awesome to hear how you and your husband are after 16yrs. I can see Tony and I doing the same thing!
Mel...Thanks for the LOVE from you, and the great pics! YES....OLIVER approved! That is huge...he doesn't normally like men. He barked at first, and Tony is an animal lover, he has a dog (husky) and a little cat. He talked to Oliver, and then I picked Oliver up and he was so at ease with Tony. When we sat on the couch...Oliver kept kissing Tony's face! I think that is also a really good sign. I bet we did pass your exit Mel...we were busy chatting and holding hands...but we were on 90. We have already talked about going back up there again, but staying overnight. And yes..he slept on the couch! haha. But definately not next time! He is an Aquarius, which I think is a good sign for me. My sister Mary (Arizona) is also...and we get along sooooooooo well!
He emailed and called me at work today!! We are hooked! He knows how I feel about not wanting to marry again...and he already said, if I ever changed my mind...he would love to marry me!
Plenty of time for all of that. He said from now on he is calling me Bella....his Bella. Very romantic...
Yes ladies...I am still floating. He met Alise yesterday, and can't wait to meet everyone. He thought I had a very beautiful family. He is very excited to introduce me to his friends. The husband is fun, and his wife is Italian, that is how Tony has been learning to speak the language. He also said, his youngest daughter Nicole who is just expecting, will fall in love with me!
Thanks for all the well wishes. I feel in every inch of my body that this is a good one...a good match...and that God, most definately had his hand in this one.
If I copied and pasted his emails, especially the very first one from Plenty of Fish..you could see how very romantic and awesome he is!
xoxo

So happy for you Lisa!!!

How exciting, Lisa! I'm so happy for you. He sounds like a definite keeper!
Hugs,
Karen
-
Lisa , did you two go to Presque Isle? Thats a nice beach up there. And you were close to the casino there. You two should go when you're up there again.
-
Soulmate.
They ARE out there....
-
Barbe is right Lisa, SOUL MATES are out there, Like Barbe & DH, Ed and I have never been apart either except for hospital stays, and we kiss hello, good bye, what ever all the time. We were such GOOD FRIENDS, we really LIKED each other from day 1 , thats what I know makes it work so well, you must LIKE, LOVE & RESPECT!
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Oh how wonderful and lovely!!!
Lisa. Some times you just know....I met my dh in December and with in weeks (4) we were engaged and married 9 months later --- September 28th is our 24th anniversary. Love and soul mates ARE out there. I can feel the giddiness, airy happy floating thing coming thru in your words...how cool is that?! It is such a shame that so many people loose that and forget that specialness...
Wow- this just changed my day...thanks for sharing with us Lisa
-
EWB...I am so glad I changed your day!! I hope you were doing ok before that though.
I do believe in soul mates too. I really think this man is for me. I am not rushing into anything though. But I am also not going to wait forever either. I think within 3 months, we will know.
Linda..so good to see you!! Where have you been hiding?
Mel..yes we went to Presque Isle. It is very nice up there...and we do plan on going back. He is bugging me to apply for my passport this week! He wants to take me to Niagra Falls and to Toronto!! I can tell this is a man, who will follow thru, no idle promises, like in my past.
Girls...If I already said this..sorry...but I am recommending this book to read. My niece (only 31 yrs old) is reading it and told me too. So, I bought it when Tony and I were shopping! Olivia read a little bit of it too, and loved it. It's a must for all women, and esp. for young women...to learn.
"Act Like A Lady, Think Like a Man" by Steve Harvey. You must read it!! I think all of you would enjoy it, I sure am!
Now, my niece just told me that in the book, when you are in a new relationship, to wait 90 days for intimacy!! Holy Crap! He say's, if he waits that long (of course you can make out, fool around, everything but sex) for you..he is most definately into you and a KEEPER! Not sure I can do that...but I'll try! haha. I am going to see his world this weekend. Well, thurs-sat.!!
Ok...love to all my ladies...where is Judie and Val???
off to celebrate one of my girlfriends's birthdays! She is 49 tomorrow and then having a darn hysterectomy the following day! Poor thing!
xoxo
Lisa
Oh...I almost forgot. Keep Olivia in your prayers. She is really not having a good experience in Florida at school, that is why she came home for the weekend. It's a long story..but she is very sad.
thanks!
-
Did I mention, that he call's me Bella? He speaks quite a bit of Italian, and that is his name for me now...his Bella....aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
-
Lisa,
I also agree on the soulmate theory. I have married my soulmate! I hope that he is yours. BTW, I was brought up by VERY Italian parents. My grandma spoke no english and called me Bella Linda. You just brought those memories back for me!
Have fun with this!! I know you will.
Linda

Hi Lisa, prayers for Oliva, hoping she just needs some time to adjust to her new life, relocation is not easy for sure.
Amanda had her High Risk visit again Monday, good news we hope as far as the SB, this Level II, reveled less complications, so thats a YIPPIE, but there is an issue with the umbilical cord, apparently there should be 2 veins/arteries for blood supply, well theres only one, I guess from what we were told this could be a cause for Down Syndrome, Amanda refused an amnio (only way to know 100%) because of the risk of miscarraige, she has decided she would not terminate no matter what so the risk is not something she is willing to do, so just lots of prayers until birth I guess and careful & constant follow-up through term which is the end of Dec from this last US.
Anyway hope everyone has a great evening - LOVE YOU ALL - XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
-
Good News Cathi. Amanda is still in our prayers.
Lisa, Lisa, awesome, it is great to hear some happy news!!!!!
-
Lisa, how can you be in the travel industry and not have a passport! Welcome to Toronto, that's where I work (used to live there).
Poor Olivia, so far from home and having a crappy experience...makes the kids appreciate rules a lot more, doesn't it?
Cathi, I am so glad that Amanda has made her decision! She must be relieved. Now, will they keep testing and if so, why? What are they using for health insurance?
-
Good Morning to All.
I hope everyone has a great day. Off to work I go. 5 day work weeks until Columbus Day.
Blessings for all.
-
Catching up with all of you...Lisa, Tony sounds fabulous. What a great find! I'm so sorry to hear about Olivia. I hope it's nothing more than freshman homesickness, but if not, that's what they made transfers for. In any event, I hope it's not jeopardizing her safety. After the recent murder at Yale, I'm glad my daughter is commuting to college for now. I can check up on her easier.
Cathi...what hopeful news about Amanda's baby...and yet, there's the umbilical problem. Yikes! They hand you hope and then take it away in the same breath.
Jane, I know this was pages back, but what a miracle that Blossom is back! Every pet that we had that went "missing" never returned. Some, we knew their fate as they still had their tags on, but others slipped their collars off somehow. That was way before they had the chip implants.
I saw a plastic surgeon yesterday about recon. He thinks a DIEP is definitely doable. I'm waiting to hear about the financials, and if all goes well I will have surgery before Thanksgiving! Hey, I'm willing to go into debt for a new set of boobs!
Tomorrow I am seeing my breast surgeon and, finally, it's time to have my port removed. I don't know if he does it right there in his office (wouldn't that be nice!), or if I have to schedule a trip to out patient surgery at the hospital, but either way, it's going very soon.
-
Nancy...you are on your way girlfriend!! Port out...huge relief..I think! And then reconstruction!! Woohoo...maybe new GIRLS for Christmas.
Thanks for the support for Olivia. I think she will be ok, it's just so hard to see your kids hurting, esp. away from home.
I think Tony is a great find too! He is so sweet and caring. He has been getting his bachelore pad ready for my visit tomorrow! He even washed windows and draperies! He said he went shopping at the grocery store, and bought some special things for me, but it's a surprise! My girlfriends are very leary, and want me to be careful, and not sleep with him either. But...I don't think I am going there for 2 nights and 2 days, and be that good! I know he truly cares about me...he is looking for a totally committed relationship.. for long term. I feel very good about all of it, no red flags, not doubts. I am going with it.
Linda...glad I brought back good memories for you! I am going to learn some Italian, slowly but surely!
Cathi...so happy Amanda has made her decision. Good for her...and I pray things go more smoothly for her. How are things at your house going?
Barbe...I know...I have had 2 passports. One when I was 16 and then in my early 20's. But during baby and child raising years...too busy. I have been in the travel industry now for over 6 yrs. Never got the passport, because I have been too poor to travel!!! But...now I have a wonderful man that wants to take me places!!
Check back in later!
xoxo
Lisa
-
Cathi, Good news. I'll keep them in my prayers.
Best of luck Nancy!! Keep us informed!
Lisa, he sounds perfect....2 days......2 nights.......have lots of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Thanks everyone for the kind words, thoughts and prayers, Barbe they will continue to follow her closely , monitor the spine with regular 2 week US, as far as the Down Syndrome no way of knowing until birth, of coarse they also monitor the heart rate at each 2 week visit, this can also be an issue with the umbilical problem, so as I said we are just doing a ton of praying.
How are things going at the house - well HUM, managed to get some "cleaning" in today with Amanda's help - WOW I was actually amazed, she does try to help sometimes - but like I said they are just SLOBS, so I had a ray of sunshine today - LOL.
SIL is a bit on my nerves, but then I guess everything is lately - LOL.
Well everyone have a great night. Prayers for Olivia.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
-
Oh my- prayers for everyone tonight. Good news/bad news, what a hard thing to do during a pregnancy. Glad to hear they are following her so closely; I'm sure there must be a lot of tension and worry on top of everything else. Hope everything turns out well!
-
Nancy, that will be so great to have the port gone and then the recon - that is so exciting! I know it's a long operation but it's what I would go for if I decided to have recon. Yes, it is amazing about Blossom. She's back to her energetic self now. She has just been lying in my lap, patting my chin with her paw and looking lovingly into my eyes.
Lisa - Tony sounds wonderful! I love how he calls you "Bella" - that is so romantic! I'm praying for Olivia. It's horrible when your kids hurt - especially when they are far away.
Cathi - praying for you, your kids and the little baby. Glad you had a little help with the housekeeping but I bet you did most of it!
Love to everyone,
Jane oxxoxo
-
Good afternoon sweet sisters!
I hope everyone is having a good day/evening.
Cathi, how much longer is Amanda and her family staying with you?
Jane...I can see little blossom just as you described on your lap. It's still amazing to me that you got her back. I lost 2 cats when I was a child, and they never returned.
Did I tell you Tony has pets? He has a dog that is a husky breed and a tiger cat. So..we will see how they do with my visit. I am so excited, leaving in 4 hours for the 3 hour drive. I am renting a car. I just don't want to chance it with my SUV, since I had those problems, even though they were fixed. I went on Priceline.com, and got a $15.00 a day rental for a Toyota Camry!! I will have it for 3 days, and only pay $50.00! He said he will make me a steak when I get there. Then I will "rest" a bit, if he lets me..haha..and we are going out to a club,he likes to sing, so he karaoke's. His daughter and her husband are hopefully meeting us there, and a couple that he is friends with. He has little adventures planned for us.
Ladies, I did express to him, how I worry some about giving my heart so quickly and that it just all seems too good to be true. He is totally understanding my fears and has a few of his own. I still have not had ONE single doubt about him, his intentions, or our relationship so far. I think that is a good thing as well.
Barbe, we may be in your area...sometime in the very near future. As soon as my passport is here, (applying today on my break) he is whisking me away to Ontario Niagara falls and Toronto!
I probably won't be on till I get back....unless I sneak on his laptop.
Love you girls...and just so you know....even though I do trust him...my best friend has his name, address and phone #'s!! Just being safe!
xoxo

Hi ladies (and UB)! Wow--2 days and 2 nights. Have a wonderful time, Lisa! I'm glad your friend has his info. I'm sure he's totally fine, but it's always a good idea to be extra safe.
Great news about the severity of the SB, Cathi! The Down's Syndrome thing is a bit scary, but it sounds like Amanda would be able to deal with that disability. I'll continue to pray for you all!
Nancy, you're going to feel so good after that port comes out! I had mine taken out as an outpatient hospital procedure under general anesthesia. It was pretty light anesthesia--when I woke up, I was still in the operating room. How exciting about the reconstruction!
Well, I have a "sick" child at home. He's suddenly acting very energetic. I wonder if I've been fooled. Every time I made Portia go to school when she said she was sick, she ended up getting sent home because she had a fever or vomited. Sigh....it's such a hard thing to call.
Here's what our house looks like today. This is the front.
The back side. I LOVE my huge back patio! You're all invited over for a party after we move in!
Hugs to all,
Karen
