I had a chuckle too Karen. But why on earth would someone want to be photographed like that??! I hope they paid her well and that she has a healthy self esteem. Actually, a local photographer here does photos of larger ladies and they look gorgeous - voluptuous and beautiful. It all depends what you are trying to depict. That one is purely for humour but, underneath it all, I cringe because I don't think overweight women should be laughed at - I guess I was laughing at the very similar shape to the garlic. That's very contradictory I know. Typical me - I rarely see things in black and white!

Enjoy your peaceful house. Love the photos on FB of your house erection! It's really growing now - you will have the roof on soon.

I lost 2 more kg in the past month but my weight loss is slowing. I have now lost 4 kg altogether which isn't a huge amount but my clothes are all really loose so that makes me happy. My doc wants me to have a pelvic ultrasound to check for abnormalities. Gee, being a woman  of a certain age is such fun!

    Love to everyone,

    Jane xoxox

That was the EXACT reaction I had to the garlic thing, Jane----OMG, it looks just like garlic and why on earth would someone agree to pose for that??  At least her face isn't showing.  I've seen some extremely unflattering (meant for a laugh) photos of very large women with their faces exposed.  Not something to be proud of, for sure.  I hope they're paid well.

Good job with the weight loss!  I'm making a very serious effort as well.  I've lost four pounds so far.  Not much, but it's a start.  I'm determined to fit into my size 8 clothes again.  Getting into my size 6 stuff may be unrealistic.  This darned Tamoxifen is killing me!  I don't understand why it makes some of us gain so much weight!  I'll probably have to go in for another ultrasound as well.  I'm still having my period, and it's been 10 days now.  I've never had a period for this long.  Blech!!!!!

The house really is coming along.  I'm so excited.  They are bringing in the trusses for the roof today.  The house should be totally closed in by Friday!  Yay!!

    Have a wonderful day, everyone!

    Hugs,

    Karen

Jane...good for you!!! Hey even a few lbs...are great, at least I think so! When the clothes feel loser...that is the BEST feeling..isn't it??!!!

Well..my trip with Oliver to Orlando Florida went very well! He was a great little traveler! Olivia, her boyfriend and room mate and I went to the beach one day...and anther day we went to the biggest OUTLET mall I have ever seen!! It was huge!  I found some good deals for myself and presents for the girls for Christmas. I should not have spent the money (guilt) but gosh, it felt good buying!!

I got my botox and Juvederm almost a week ago.  Had some small bruises on my cheeks, which are just about gone now. But the results are so awesome!!  Happy I could do it! I drove with my 30 yr old niece (inlaw) and we had a  great trip together..she and I are so very simular!

Ok...now..you all know...I have been looking..dating off and on.  I don't even want to jinx myself about this next date. I know I have said it before..the chemistry the feelings...so I am not getting my hopes up with this one....BUT...I will say 2 things....# 1) he is very DIFFERENT from all the rest of them...in several ways (main way is..he is def. persuing me!) and # 2) we are meeting Friday at noon.  He lives 3 hrs away. We are meeting half way.  I am giving no more info. at this time.  I am waiting this time UNTIL THE ACTUAL meeting.  Then I will give you every little dirty detail! haha

Ok..back to work ladies!! Oh..forgot...I was to fly to Atlanta today for the day (work) and my car broke down on the highway...just died!  So I missed my flight, but I came to work in 4 inch heels, a skirt and a tow truck escort! haha...what I site!

Hi Lisa!  I've been meaning to upday you all on my friend Jenni's situation.  Thank you so much for reminding me!  She saw a surgeon, but he's pretty certain it isn't IBC.  She says it actually seems to be clearing up.  What a relief!  Thank you so much for thinking of her!  She's already been through so much.  I couldn't stand the thought of her going through bootface again.

Good luck on your date!  We want every juicy detail when you're ready to share!

    Hugs,

    Karen

Karen so glad I saw that picture when I signed on -  I just want to F-in sream or kick someone,  and it helped to calm me down,   sorry to carry on so,  but I am honestly going crazy,  trying to be supportive and understanding of Amanda and what she is dealing with,  but not so sure how much more I can take of them living in my house,  I have let things slide the last couple of weeks and now I feel like all hell has broke loose,  my daughter and SIL  ARE SLOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  There is not a clean spot anywhere and I feel like I am a constant cleaning-picking up machine,  $%$$#@#,   if they are around Landen is a complete 1  year old terror,  when they are gone or away he his fine,   my mistake for allowing all this to happen I know,  looks as though we are looking at another month,  unless Ed and I foot the bill for them to get out in their own place, UGH!!!!!!!!

I am a mess , I don't want to cause her any stress with all the SB issues,  I don't know how to handle this anymore,  spending a lot of secret silent moments crying or cussing.

Ah Cathi, don't know what to say....Frown

I am VERY particular about how my house is kept, too, and I would truly go mental if it was destroyed. Seems petty, but there are few things we have control over, and our home environment should be one of them!

Barbe - thank you for understanding, I am trying to stay positive and keep in perspective what really is important in life - family/friends and good health,  but I AM GOING MENTAL,  guess I am loosing sight of those things and hoping a few prayers for strenght will get me to where I need to be.  I just lost it with Ed - calling him MR POSITIVE EVERYTHING IS PERFECT MAN-   I feel bad,  I am freakin mental on one hand and hating myself on the other because of all that Amanda is dealing with with the baby - what the hell kind of person am I -

What kind of person are you?  You're an incredibly kind, caring, patient, WONDERFUL person, Cathi!  I've had family members in need move in as temporary house guests.  It drove me NUTS!  I know you think you should be all understanding because of Amanda and the baby, but you have every right to want them out.  I felt like my house really wasn't my house anymore with the extra people here.  I couldn't really relax.  Does that make me a bad person?  Well, no, not really.  It makes me human!  You're only human, Cathi!  They need to get their own place.

Hang in there!  I'm sure they'll do what needs to be done to get their own place soon enough.  I can't imagine that they enjoy living with you.  And you guys shouldn't have to buy them a place!  WTH??  Isn't that SIL of yours capable of earning his own way?  If he needs a kick in the butt, I'd be glad to fly down there and give him one!  LOL!

    Love and hugs to you,

    Karen

Just re-read your post.  Why will it take a month?  Is that how long it will take for him to earn enough to get a place of their own?  Seems like an awfully long time.  Hmmmm.....there has to be a way to get them to pick up after themselves without upsetting Amanda.  I can't stand sloppy people!!  Makes me crazy!  Big ((((((((hugs))))))))!!

    Cathi -

Don't forget the alcohol.  Then you will really relax! Just make sure Ed is around to help get you out of the bath if you have one to many. LOL. Question: Do you live near Indian Shores, FL?  I will be in the area in mid November.

    Hi Mouse,

Yes Indian Rocks  /Indian Shores are pretty much the same area,  you blink and you are in one or the other.  Indian Shores is about 1-2 miles South of where I am.  Alcohol sounds great, in fact Ed just took me for a Bloddy Mary at Crabby Bills,  had 2  it helped to take the edge off.  Things just really got to me today,  I guess Tomorrow will be better.

Just had a thought, Cathi. The mess also drives me nuts when I have no control over it. A few years ago when I had a somewhat similar situation, I cleaned up once a day, putting everything that was where it did not belong into a big bag, took it to their bedroom, and shut the door. No yelling, whining, fighting...just matter-of-fact daily routine. I got a clean house for a while, they got to keep being slobs...in their room. It was, of course, not anywhere near what you are dealing with. You do have my daily prayers.

Cathi, when I was young and single, my sister, her hubby and two kids 2 and 4 came to visit for my brother's wedding. Well since I worked all the time and went out the rest of the time, my place was spotless. She came a had everything on my counter top and in my living room. One day I had enough and took one hand and pushed everything on to the floor. Well form tha moment on she started keeping things put away and in the bebroom. I understand it is not what you are going through, I know I could never handle that as nicely as you have. Now my dh is driving me crazy. he puts everything on the counter, he is working on a project and has tools in my living room now for months. I have been very patient, lets just say maybe the Effexor really does work, because even though it is driving me nuts, I have manage to retain my sanity with the whole situation. You are a great mom for helping your girls out, they should respect your house and try to help keep it clean. Myabe try having a family meeting and set some guidelines. Oops I went on and on and on . Sorry. Good Luck and ((((((HUGS))))))).

    Prayers for all.

Cathi, I think you are an amazing, generous, patient, loving, kind woman. You have been pushed to the limit and no wonder you just feel like cursing and crying. I really admire you and hope and pray that things will work out soon. I don't have any solutions but please let off steam here whenever you like. I'm gladlad Ed took you out for a relaxing drink or two. Hoping that today is better for you.

It must have been nearly a month since my cat disappeared. I have been away renovating my house up north. This afternoon I had a phone call from my neighbour in the mountains to say that they had found Blossom! Someone heard her piteous cries from under an old abandoned house and tried to get her out. I don't know all the details yet but they called the fire brigade and two trucks arrived and eventually they got her out! I am heading back there tomorrow to be reunited with her. She is staying at the vet's until I can pick her up. My neighbour said she looks well - must have been feasting on mice while she was imprisoned. I am amazed - I thought she was gone for ever!

Karen - that's great news that your girl friend is doing well. What a relief!

    Love to all

Oh Jane! How wonderful they found Blossom!!!!

My brother had one of his cats slide down a vent in his house. For 2 days they heard her crying as they tried everything to get her out. Finally they got her out! I asked what did she do first, go to the food bowl?

My brother said "No, she walked about 3 feet sat down and licked her ass!"

Seems cats like to do that alot and that's what she missed the most! hehehehehhee Laughing

    Barbe  - your a riot -

Thanks everyone for allowing the ranting,  I still feel ashamed to be so upset with a DD in the position she is in with the baby - UGH.

Judie your idea is great and I have sort of done that, they infact have 2 rather large rooms to call their own,  a bedroom and our back in closed porch which is like a small living room (with all the ammenities) yet the clutter/mess is everywhere,  Amanda is unable to get a job now that she is HIGH RISK, her DR will not allow her to work,  so of coarse that plays a huge part in the finances and getting their own place,  that was not something we had expected when the move took place.  SIL is working,  but one income is not enough right now.

    OH WELL.

Jane, glad that the neighbors found blossom, how in the world did she get that far away from your house though?

Cathi, I personally am not a 'clean freak', I do have my cluttered areas in the house (mainly my craft area that is now in the living room due to John living here now) but I do know how you feel when you let someone stay with you a while and their personalities rub you the wrong way too many times. John and I do get along rather well, almost like he never left home 5 yrs ago.

    Sheila
