No, Linda, but I must say this one was one of the best I've had!
Julz, don't work too hard!
-
Kathleen, I love the wave.
Mum, we had salmon for supper too. Plus, grn bean, spuds and tomatoes (dressed with herbs) all from our garden. I adore this time of year for food.
-
Oh Faith! What a huge validation! I am excited for you. You done good!
-
Faith - that is too awesome! Good for you!
Mum and Sharon - I LOVE salmon - I can't believe you had salmon and didn't call me.'
When I was in rehab, one night they served salmon - anyway that's what they said it was. I was fortunate to have a friend bring me real salmon earlier in the day - guess which one I ate.

I keep losing this thread... Im adding to my favourites so I can find it.
Barbe.... I have something for you so we are going to have to meet. If you cant drive to me.... I can take the subway up as far as Finch.... let me know day and time, and I will try to work it out.
Mason204 I have something for you too..... so we need a donut stopover... I know you are feeling crappy.... so if you want me to come to you, pm me your address and I will phone you for time and day.
I am unhappy to note two things... 1) the housekeeper didnt come this week. We have dust everywhere. 2) One of the cats missed the cat box completely and I have to clean the floor before the housekeeper sees it. As I see it she is not here to clean up after the cats. And I think she is uncomfortable around them - they of course love her and come running to whereever she is.

I'm here and alive....Been trying to make people understand that it will take awhile to become normal again, whatever that is..
Got a fantastic call from Julz!!!! Was so tickled..course with the son and hubby calling the other phone didn't get to really talk to her much but was fun...Figures these phones don't ring all day, soon as she calls they ring off the hook...but it was so nice to hear from "Giggles"
-
All kinds of stuff going on (hopefully no cleaning)...great news Linda! Wonderful way to start the weekend!!!!
Congrats Faith --- very cool to be published
Grimm- never realized that was a tatoo--thought it was the edge of a dress- sort of Olde England style. Love that the docs honored the tatoo by working around it.
DD left this morning to move into the dorm, classes starting on Tuesday...funny how the house feels quieter and emptier already; can't image how it will feel on the 10th when ds leaves....

Good morning bunny dusters! Sounds like it's good all the way around.
OhioDeb!! It's so good to see you post. Nawww.....it takes awhile to get back to normal. My goodness, I'm coming up on my 2 year cancerversary and I still don't feel normal. Maybe it's just a "new" normal. Anyway, it's so good to see you back.
KAK, hope that new med does wonders for your energy girl! I need just the opposite. I can't sleep. Want to work or clean all the time, then I wear myself out and hurt for days and days. I even take Ambien at night to sleep, but I might get about 3-4 good hours.
MAK, enjoy your vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! C.E.L.E.B.R.A.T.E.!!! I'm so happy for you!!
I just talked to Arnie this morning. Ya'll, I got the most gorgeous wreaths from her this week. She's still having problems with her computer. She's written to the moderators, so hopefully, they can get her up and running soon. I think everything else works, except for BCO. She just can't post. I miss her though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She has an awful cold or sinus problem right now. Sounds terrible. Mr. Arnie has gone to the grocery store for her. I'll try to post my wreaths in a little while.
Faithie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! C.O.N.G.R.A.T.U.L.A.T.I.O.N.S.!!! I ALWAYS knew you would be big big big time. Look out Hollywood California. They better be making room for your square!! Hmmmm, let's see. Maybe I can find one for you!!! You're good Faithie!! You're real good!
Hey, here's a vacant one. Maybe KAK can add your name to it?? hehe
-
Okay, by request:

Grimm- just saw your site- really neat! love the writing style and your drawings (my ds is in last yr at the Savananh College of Art & design---drawings and doodles most of his life---very similar interests...although his passion seems to be more in the colouring end of things).
-
LOLOL, way to go KAK.

Hello dust bunnies
Well we are back from a few days in Llandudno, North Wales so I'm trying to catch up.
Cheryl so pleased to read about your good news.
Linda great news too about your DH, hope you are enjoying your vacation
Mum that seafood looks wonderful, I love seafood.
Sharon we had salmon for supper too, with spuds from our own garden, delicious!
Kathleen I love that beach pic, it's so relaxing just sitting here watching it.
Faith congratulations on your contract!
KAK good that your supplement is working on your blood counts, I hope you get something that works for your fatigue next.
Hugs to all.
-
Makraz, sooo thrilled for you. Hope you have a brill holiday, what am I saying! with news like that you will both make sure it IS brill! xx
Kak, thanks for the interesting info on fatigue. You SO don't have to convience me about ongoing chemo fatigue. I will be starting on a fatigue related trial in a few weeks sponsored by my Cancer Hospital. It is to see if accuponcture can improve fatigue symptom in ongoing chemo induced fatigue. I will of course tell you how I get on.
Faith!!!! yahoooo, wow. The contrac is fantastic news! Music and movement is something dear to our hearts. My boy gets a special music teacher (I get in) once a week, and he loved exercise (simple) to music. I have been trying to source for our own use the activ8 programme music they do at school as he loves the music and movement, but they only seel huge packs to schools, so been on the look out. I will be looking for your music and also please let us know when the book is out with cd!
Deb for ohio, Like Coonie says, and we were both diagnosed about the same time, 2 years on and still not back to "normal". I think the "new normal" is what you have to aim for; need to be gentler with yourself and take things one at a time, when you can.. life not always like that, but the key is keep expectations realistic and be GOOD TO YOU. Eventually people arond you will hopefully learn from your example and respect that you do things a bit more gently now or take a bit more time for you or more rest, and that is o.k. They are blessed to have you, now let them cheris you.(((deb))).
Jane uk glad you have a lovely time, Whales is lovely.
All my best to you all. I sent in my request for permission to appeal SEN Tribunal judgement, with our legal grounds etc last night, felt good to get that step out of the way. I allowed myself an indulgent lunch with the family and a glass of wine, then I thoughouly enjoyed getting on to priniting and laminating some resources for my son that am desperate for. I was so nice to get back to those things I need to do for him instead of spending my time on the careless judges mess. DS starts new school on THursday so send us some claming vibes on Wednesday if you please that he might get some sleep this week.
xxxxx hugs to you all.

Awwwwwwwww, bunnies. Thanks for the encouragement.
This is such a l-o-n-g term effort. I have to celebrate every small step along the way.
It's awesome to have a cheering section to help with the celebration along the way...... since the road it such a lengthy one.

Faith, what you do is super cool. I've often thaught I should write down my songs and stories that I've made up over the year to "make sense" and to "communicate things" to my son when he had no communication. You inspire. I want to start doing movement to music outside for 10minutes before we go out the door for school. I've got til next thursday to get my 1st batch of sessions planned, hum, maybe it will have to wait a week,we'll see. LOVE THE ORANGE AND THE GREEN WITH PURPLE.Apple or meadow green and orange are my favorite colours, so uplifting and and soothing. Thank you for sharing. WELL DONE AGAIN! I have a rare moments without kiddywinks so will pop over to your site now..thanks for the tip re music.
To all of you in need, sending bestest top quality vibes with love and support and cuddles your way. Take care of no 1, that's you, as the only way you can hope to take care of others is to take care of YOU too!

A quick fly by to let you all know you are off the hook for any housework for at least a month. Today I cleaned out my garage, not all, but most of it and took 2 loads to the dumpster. My car has a couple of boxes to be donated to the Good Will also. Whew, I am tired. Don't ask me what possessed me to do this today - maybe boredom... Hugs for all, Nancy
-
Wow, Nancy. All I can say is WOW!! You go girl.
Shiny. Do write down your songs & stories. That's where I started. It will be meaningful to your own children at the very least, but who knows maybe it could go further??? You'll see, my 'ditties' are VERY simple & really intended for little ones to sing along.
Lucy. Hope that you're getting aclimated to the work hours.
Big hugs to all the bunnies who have been out there dusting.
And even bigger hugs to all those who watch the piles mount & wish they could make a dent.

Hey, Honey Bunnies, a special news flash. I had the joy & honor to make the first delivery of Accidental Amazon Tee Shirts this evening to our own kes who was down here from Ontario, for heaven's sake, visiting her sister in MY state of Rhode Island!! It was awesome. We could have gabbed all night. And guess what??? One year ago today, I joined this august (pun intended!) forum & met all of you amazing, loving, wonderful, generous women. Love you all.
-
Goodness gracious sakes.
You really do look like you could actually be 'sisters'.
All of that gorgous hair.
Pretty people.
Thanks for sharing.

This photo doesn't begin to do Kerry justice. She's beautiful.
-
I think you are both beautiful!!
I left a note on Facebook about the t-shirts somewhere on the photos of them. Let me know if you didn't see it and I'll put it on your wall. It was a comment on the photos you posted of the shirts. Love them and want one!
Glad you are feeling more energy with the new drug!!
-
Hello Dust Bunnies
Kathi what a beautiful photo of you and Kerry. Oh I also commented on Facebook regarding t-shirts and wanting one, I was just above Mary's post.
DH and I went away last week for a few days in Llandudno, North Wales. We had a really good time, then on Friday I noticed one of my eyebrows was tingling although there was nothing to see. By Saturday when we were coming home it was red and I also had a rash on my forehead and down the centre front bit of my scalp. It is a holiday weekend here and my usual dr's surgery is closed until Tuesday so yesterday I went to the local drop in medical centre. The dr there thought it was probably shingles but said I needed to go to the hospital to get blood tests done in case I was neutropenic. We went straight there, first to Accident & Emergency then got sent to the Emergency Assessment ward, we were there 5 hours altogether. They checked me over very thoroughly, I think this was partly down to the scary red card about neutropenic sepsis that I was given in the chemotherapy unit. They told me to show it if I ever had to go to Accident & Emergency. I am not neutropenic but I do have shingles. To my relief they didn't keep me in overnight, just gave me anti viral tablets to take home. The shingles is very close to my eye and could damage it if I don't take the tablets. The Emergency Assessment dr said I cannot take steroids while I am taking the anti viral tablets, so it looks as though my next round of chemo scheduled for Wednesday will have to be delayed. I was due to start Taxotere and they want me to take steroids starting the day before. Oh well, so be it. I just want the shingles gone; it is very unsightly. I was wandering around the hospital yesterday with my bald head and shingles all down my scalp and one side of my face, not a pretty sight at all!
Wishing all you dust bunnies a wonderful week. xoxoxoxoxoxo
-
((((((((((((((Jayne)))))))))))))) Soooo sorry you're having to go through shingles now!! Like you didn't have enough going on already! Just be sure and take good care of yourself. All of these "pests" will leave soon and you'll be feeling good again. Hang in there!!
KAK!!! You guys look great!!!!!! I'm so glad you got to visit. I can't wait to get my tshirt either. It looks fantastic!! Your talent amazes me. Sure hope you're feeling much much better. Are the meds working?
Shiny girl......you're amazing too. I honestly don't know how you do it with kids, etc. You're a tough little cookie. Still sending hugs, prayers and the peachiest vibes I can muster up. Keep us posted, ok?
Nancy.....got time to come clean for me today? I really need to get some things done TODAY!
Big hugs to all bunny dusters!!!!!!!!! Hope MAK is having a great vacation!!! I miss her.
-
Shingles can also be very, very painful (I had the chicken pox twice so I don't think I had much chance of avoiding it when my immune system went south) so maybe try to have some extra painkillers handy or possibly something to try to distract yourself with. Especially if it's close to your eye. Hopefully if yours isn't hurting by now maybe it won't start, though.
