I'm off today too, but I've had such a stressful week at work with the weekend still to come! Can I play hookie????? Puleeeeeeeeeeez?
-
Kathleen, thank you for your kind words! My photography has gotten somewhat neglected while I've been dealing with The Beast, so I'm hoping to get back to it this fall. BTW, Faith & Barbe are no slouches behind a camera themselves!!
Barbe, I'd love to play hookie today. Let's all play hookie together. I see my surgeon today & I need her help desperately, but at the same time, I hate HATE going there because of the emotional association with The Beast.
Hugs to all of you.
Here's a cafe on Block Island we can all play hookie at!!
-
I'm right behind you Kathi....in your pocket (as faith would say) at the appointment too.

-
OH LINDA.........what WONDERFUL news!!!!!! Hap hap HAPPY for you guys!!
-
Linda thanks for letting us know! You can let your breath out now.....
-
Wow, Linda, that's great!!!!
-
I am SO TIRED, it is unbelievably ridiculous. It's 2:34 PM on a Friday and I am at work almost falling asleep at my desk. If I didn't have a 3:15 onc apt., I'd go home now and go to bed. As it is, I can't wait to leave and go to the Dr, so that as soon as I'm finished, I can go home and go to bed. My little housekeeper (a friend's niece) is coming over this afternoon. I left her a note to clean the kitchen, sweep downstairs and break down the cardboard boxes for recycling. She comes for 2 hours every Friday. I leave her a list. She's not a Merry Maid, but I pay her $10 an hour and it gives her some spending money for the weekend.
-

Oh, Linda, thank god it was B9. So, what the heck was it???
Jane, hang in there. My surgeon is starting me on Provigil (thank god...) & I'll let you know how I make out. I've been feeling like you. Not even going to describe it. Awful. Hope this works.
Love to you all.
-
KAK, a lot of scar tissue. Isn't that great!
Jane I hope you feel better. I hate that tired feeling. I take B12 which helps. I'll be thinking of you.
I am going on vaca tomorrow a.m. and am hoping I will have wifi. I will do my best to stay in touch!
-
YaaHooo Celebrate the good path report. Is your DH still mad at the doctor? Can he eat yet?
When he can eat Linda you must celebrate like this.If we lived closer I would invite you over and cook this.
-
Linda, uh, scar tissue???? In his tongue??? Not even going there.....have a great vacation!! LOL
Mum, can I come for dinner??
-
LOL Kathi,
I think it's from years of dental problems and his back teeth pressing aginst his tongue. Mum, that looks delicious. Although my DH and I are perfect together, we are complete opposites. I LOVE seafood and he hates it! Can you imgine??
Edited to add some A's!!
-
Oh KAK.....so glad you got something for your fatigue. I hope it does the trick----and fast! I know you hope so too
Hey MUM....just pass the plate please. I could eat everything on it:)
Linda!!! You need a vacation!!! Sure hope you all have a great time. Hopefully, you can pick up wifi, 'cause if you don't we're gonna miss you!
I miss MOM!!!!
and OhioDeb....anybody heard from either of them?
-
Linda - I know how relieved you and DH are - thank God. Coonie is right - you need a vacation. How about here?
-
Just finished cooking we had salmon for dinner tonight.
When I have my seafood feast you are all welcome to come.I will make roast beef for linda's DH.
Can't food be an escape as well?
-
Last word I heard from Deb from OH was on Facebook. She's tired & achey from taking arimidex, but okay. Having a little bit of the experience of her family expecting her to be "all better" now that treatment is "over." You know how that is.
Just came home from having dinner with friends. Had sirloin steak tips in burgundy beef gravy over mashed potatoes & carrots. It was YUMMY!! Warm brownie a la mode for dessert!
-
YUMMY!!! Yes, Mum, food is definitely an escape for me!!
-
Linda, enjoy your vacation with peace of mind! Maybe DH's tongue will feel better now that he knows it's B9...that does help one's psyche.
-
Thanks Barb.
Deb's tag line on facebook today said that she was so bored she was going to start cleaning!! Deb, Don't do it!!!!!
-
Oh Hallelujah, HAPPY day, and a great 'borrowed' gooooooooga mooga!!
Linda you may already be on your way out the door, but I'm cheering all the way from here!! Such thrilling news. I came in, just to find out what you'd learned.
Cheryl -- so happy for you, too.
and KAK, they've given you something that may bring relief!!!!
ANNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
I have some additional happy news!!!!!!!
I found out earlier today that I am about to receive a contract from a major educational publishing firm, that wants to use my recorded songs in a book on "Movement & Dance" in an upcoming project intended for early childhood classrooms.
We've been talking to them for well over a year about this proposal.
I don't know ANY specifics, but their acquistions committee has committed to us.
