Hi there Checkum and welcome back from the surgery. It´s great to hear that you are already feeling positive changes. Stay on that path of healing girl!
Love, Idun
-
Yay Checkum!!
-
Sooooooooooooo happy to read your post, Checkum.
Sooooooooooooo happy that you're already feeling better.
Will add my well wishes to the others: YEAH!!!!!!!!!
We got to take a lovely ride on the motorcycle yesterday afternoon & I thought of all my fellow biker babes, escaping!!
Linda when do we learn the details for your DH?? Hopefully he continues to improve.
Here's what we found at the end of our escape yesterday:
Too gorgous for words. Lovely escape -- even if I have no idea how to sail. LOL
-
Faith I LOVE the pics. I saw them on FB too!! They are beautiful!
This biker babe hasn't ridden since last week! I will soon!! DH is still miserable. We get the path report on Friday. He told me he is going to go and scream at the Dr. since they did not tell him anything about what was happening to him. He is just starting to be able to mumble, but it hurts so he has to stop. Unreal!
Hugs Checkum!!!
Edited to add some A'a. Key is still broken!
-
Oh gosh Mak.........sorry DH is still suffering. Lets just hope and pray for a good path report.
Edit to add: Here are some more aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAA's
-
Checkum!!!! I'm soooooo glad you're ok. Bless your heart.....and you walked for your SISTAHS while you were in so much pain!!! I thank you even more for what you did!! I hope you heal quickly. How long do you get to be off from work? Try to enjoy it while you can. You sure don't need to over-do things. I'm so happy for you!!!
Sharon---------girl, I LOVE the flashy look....hehe. The colors are just beautiful. Do you have the little poof on top too:)
Faithie, you yoga-biker-photographer grandma you!!! That pic is just beautiful. I'm gonna get my DD to go to your facebook so I can see more. I just can't get in to the facebook thing yet. I'm doing good just to get on BCO.
Big shout outs to all you other escapees!!! Hope you all are having a wondermous Tuesday. We've had just a wee big of Fall here today too. At least it's not 100. I think it topped out at 91. Better......much better!
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs to all))))))))))))))))))))
-
Oh Linda...I'm so sorry DH is still suffering. Did you say that the part of his tongue would grow back? Or did I dream that? Anyway, here's hoping and praying for a good path report on Friday!!! You guys have been through enough already!! Big hugs to you and yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Thats awful that your DH is still in pain. He's right the Drs should of warned him about the swelling etc. I am wishing you the best Mak with his pathology report.
-
Last night I watched a movie called Nights in Rodanthe. I really enjoyed it had a good cry after. If your a Richard Gere fan you will love it.
-
What a BEAUTYFUL picture Faith! Those colors are just amazing. Awwwwhh, I would have liked beeing there to enjoy it to the full.
Have to take a look at that moovie Mum, who doesn´t love Richard Gere?
Makraz, I wish you and your DH all the best on friday.
I will be heading off to see my Dr. next thursday. My DH will fly with me and we will be back home that same evening. I have to admit that I am a bit anxious about the appointment, but as previously said: hoping for the best but prepared for the worst. If I have good results from my MRI I hope I will have my port removed a.s.a.p.
Heading to bed right now, wishing you all a good night sleep
-
I asked the dr. about the tongue growing back and she giggled. Apparently not!
Idun, you have to fly to get to your doctor? I wish you all the best!
-
Idun How far do you have to go to see your doctor? I hope everthing goes well.
-
She giggled???? That's really professional! I'm the one who had SPLITS and CRACKS up the sides of my tongue from a virus I had. Took about 18 months, but I have no splits or cracks. And I mean they were right through the tongue....
Faith, I'm beginning to think that the sailboat is in exactly the same position of the other sunsets. You're not using Photo Shop now are you???
-
Welcome back, escape to the mountains.
-
It´s an hour flight for me. I took the plain every other week while I was in cheemo but had to stay put for 5 weeks during radiation. It would be interesting to calculate km/miles travelled through all this ;o) But it´s ok, it doesn´t bother me at all, exept being away from my 2 girls while I´m at it.
As for the good night sleep, I was tossing and turning all night
Guess I will have to take a nap today.
Love the picture Deborye, beatuyful autumn colors there.
Warm regards!
-
Oh Barbe -- you give me way to much credit. I promise I don't even have Photoshop.
I do have picassa & we have sailors who just tack back & forth in front of the sun as it sets on especially beautiful evenings. My husband swears that they are paid by our chamber of commerce...... to create picture perfect postcards on a nightly basis.
Idun. Your journey is TRULY a JOURNEY. Congrats sister on doing what it takes.
xx00xx00xx00xx
Checkum..... are you reading along? How's the healing. Sending you happy thoughts.
You, too, Linda, thinking good thoughts as you approach answers for DH.
Happy escaping, one and all!!
-
Hello Sistahs!
Just checking in... Linda how is DH doing? Faith love the sunset pics. I am slowly bouncing back... the side incision hurts more than the implant incision... But, I am feeling better everyday - so that is a good thing!
-
Thanks for thinking of my DH. Very slow improvement. He can mumble, but it hurts. He is eating mushed foods like mashed potatoes, mac and cheese all cut up, pudding etc. Friday we will get path results.
How are you doing Checkum. Still more comfortable than before? Hope you are feeling better and the piggies are behaving!

We had late summer so leaves are not changing here yet. But today was cool - had to run back in and change lol.
-
Here's a picture that I took yesterday!
The first evidence of fall.
-
Wow, I'm a lot further north than you guys and our leaves aren't changing!
Faith, I'm going to get Lightbox, which is a developing program and one that will help set up posters of multiple pictures and such. I give my sister hell everytime she uses PhotoShop as I think of it as cheating...you know, putting a moon over a mountain kind of thing. Keep on posting those pics, they feed my soul.
