Barbe emailed me a pick of her dress from her son's wedding...SHE LOOKS MAVELOUS!!! dh too!
I told her I'd post it for her...OMG... you look good girlfriend!!!!
-
OMG - Barbe you are beautiful and hubby's not too bad either. What a gorgeous couple you make. If I ever look that good I will blow the picture up to poster size and hang it in the living room!
Coonie - good to have you back! I remember one plane that we had to board out on the tarmac. I got on it and there were 6 seats - I could have reached out and touched the pilot and co-pilot. I said to the guy - I see the cockpit but where's the rest of the plane!
Barbe - Did I mention you look terrific!

Checkum, good thoughts for you tomorrow, I go get my thyroid biopsy results Tuesday so hopefully we both get good news, I too kept busy canning apricot jam, and apricot nectar, we made corn relish and picked blackberries today. Only 3 more rads and I am done and hopefully the rawness and peeling stop soon!
Julz, we plan on doing a tour of Bradford County in PA, we love seeing old bridges, my DH built a covered bridge in our yard a few years back form the old barn beams when we tore the barn down.
Here is a bouquet for all and pics of the canned apricots.
-
Best wishes Checkum, please check in when you can.
Love the photos of Barb!
Coonie, we missed you so much. I especially miss Great Googala Moogala! Can honestly say I've never heard that before I met you!
Carolyn good luck Tue!!

Checkin' in for one last good thought for Checkum.
We're all here for you, sistah.
Barbe -- I just LOVE the picture of the two of you!!! What was the length of your dress?? I'll go over to FB to see if I can see other angles.
hugs one and all.

Oh Checkum! You know we'll all be there in the room with you! {{{{{{{{{{{{ hugz }}}}}}}}}}}}
Faith, the dress was full length. You can see how I had them alter the bodice in because of no boobs. It has some boning, so I got some shape, but I can only imagine how sexy it would have looked with boobs! hehehehehhehe
-
Arnie, thanks for posting the picture! I miss your avatar....
-
Good morning ladies!
Sitting here with my morning cup, the rain is pouring (cats and dogs all over the place), reading the latest post. What a beautyful pictures!
What a beautyful couple! Barb, this must have been a wonderful moment, I just can imagine.
Carolynne, love the flowers, I bet the apricot jam is delicious.
As for all of you, my thoughts are with Checkum. It will be nice to hear from her later. I light her a candle:
Have a great day escapers!
-

Thinking of you Checkum. Be well.
-
(((((Hugs and healing vibes)))) out to Checkum
Barbe that photo is a keeper.I would enlarge and frame it.
Don't think you will evercatch me in a cropduster. The island hoppers in Hawaii are small and scarey.
Found my husband and a butload of mosquitos. But at least I got some fresh air and exercise.
This is what he found.
-
Good morning Escapees!
Especially thinking of you today Checkum. Sending thoughts, prayers, positive vibes and everything else GOOD to you through the wires to help this day go the way it should. Can't wait to hear back from you and that you're feeling fine. (((((((((((((((((gentle hugs to you))))))))))))))
Hugs to all my other Escapees. Beautiful pics above.......as always!
I'm having some trouble posting from photobucket. Guess I'll have to find another picture finder
-
Checkin' in to see if we have a Checkum update?????
Sending you yet more strength, prayers and healing energy.
Coonie, did you know that my DH is a pilot? Small planes primarily. We often fly in either two seaters or four seaters. He's flown for well over 25 years and we only go when the conditions are terrific. It's incredible -- if you can stand the noise. We have headsets so we can talk to each other and that helps a lot.
Big hugs, escapees.
Idun -- you're such a terrific addition to our escaping. Love the calm of the image above.

Mum...... one of these days I'll have a computer that will work enough to take me to your hubby's website. This one is enough to make a sane person go LOOOOOONIE.
-
Thinking about Checkum this afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know she's probably hurting, but I hope and pray it passes real soon. Sending you warm healing vibes Checkum!!
Faithie.....I would trust your DH to fly me on a nice day. I think what scared the holy muffin mix right outta me was the age of those two little pilots. Sheeeeeshhhhh......I like to see a more MATURE pilot flying the plane. These boys looked like they just got off their training wheel bicycles.........LOL
I agree with ya Faithie.........Idun and Mum both post some beeeeutiful pics. Along with you and SoCalLisa......we have a whole photography studio on this thread.
It makes for some beautiful escapes too!!!
Thanks ladies!!
-
Hey........do ya'll think Checkum is at home resting, or was she gonne have to stay in the hospital for awhile? I hope we hear something soon. Cheeeeeeekuuuuuuummmmmm

Thanks for the update on CHeckum. I keep checking her FB page too and that says she'll be in touch when the drugs wear off. You actually got to talk to her or did one of the pigs answer the phone? Boy, I wish I could post pics!
HUGS CHECKUM!!!!!!!!!! Hope you are feeling Ok!!
-
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((CHECKUM)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Thanks Sharon....I have been thinking of her all day but have been on the run with back to school shopping & All. I am on my way to work Now!
HUGS TO ALL YOU ESCAPEES!!!!
-
Thanks Faithe and Coonie for your kind words. I am so glad that I found this thread, you all put a smile on my face and give me a great escape whenever I need it.
Love to hear that Checkum is doing fine
My idea of an escape today is to go out for a good walk even though its windy and rainy, I will probably end up like a flat balloon in the sofa afterwards
Hopefully back on my feet when my girls come back home from school and kindergarden.
Have a wonderful day today!
-
Good morning ladies.Good to hear Checkum is home.Sending her more (((Healing vibes)))
I have alot of running around to do today will try and heck in tonight.Have a good day all.
-
Hi Checkum, I hope you are feeling ok this morning.
I'm escaping to get my hair cut. I thought I'd go a little flashy this time round.
-
Hey Ladies...
I am home a bit sore - but doing ok. I had a rough ride home as the anestesia (sp?) must have made me sick --- DH was driving as fast as he could to get me home LOL...
Anyway, I am not feeling sick today so that is a good thing. I cannot believe the instant relief of getting that tissue expander out. I didn't realize how dang uncomfortable that thing was (I must have just gotten to the point where I accepted the discomfort).....but ahhhhhhh it feels so much better even if I am a little sore.
I had what the call a dog ear on the scar on my back to my side from the LAT they did something to remove that -- I think that hurts more than anything else. All in all - it is good to be home and I am going to rest some more today.
(((Hugs)))) Sistahs! Thank you for all the good vibes and support.
-
Checkum, It's so good to hear from you. I'm glad that you are feeling more comfortable now. Geesh!! You must have been so uncomfortable! Get some rest and check back in with us.
Sending, prayers, healing vibes and good thoughts your way!
Linda
