TRACEY
-
Rachel-You are hilarious, please tell me you have a Jersey accent (because thats how I read your posts in my head) ..
Linda I always read your post like a combo of Blanche Dubois from a Streetcar Named Desire and Blanche Deveroux from the Golden Girls
I cant wait to hear your real voices only 111days (I know I sound like a stalker )
Jazzy - a new idea for your contraption... dip in soapy water and run Then you will have giant boobie bubbles
-
Jazzy that contraption is just crazy... I can hardly belive it is for real!!!!

DV8Q- NEW YORK EffIN CITY. Manhattan
not NJ... Originally Philly. I hope I am more bitch than broad... more broadway than broad st...btw, it just totally makes my day if I make any of you laugh
OK... so I finally got around to reading the web page that explains wtf this thing is:
this charming item is worn over two bodacious boobswith the green drop sort of on the belly buton. btw, Janet, did you get your nails done to match? I mean, seriously. So I start reading the blubs all over this web page and it's saying stuff like:MAKING THE TECHNOLOGY OF LIFEin the boxthe ivivi SofPulse® answers all your needs-- it's safe and effective, it's reimbursable, and it's built on superior science.Really?OK, I'm in... so I keep reading....JUST THE FAQs9 questions1) How does it work?2) What does the device look like?3) Is it simple to use?4) How safe is Ivivi's technology?5) Does the treatment affect healthy tissue?6) Can it work for everybody?7) How long has this technology been in use?8) What endorsements are available on Ivivi's Technology?9) What does the future hold?I am not making this sh*t up.What does the future hold?btw, Janet reports that it lights up sometimes, embarrassing her at the movies, and what I read says its a.... painkiller! And what I am thinkin' is... I'd like to see these people make a [women's pleasure device] -
Thinking of my dear pink warrior sistah Susie! She goes in tomorrow for surgery. I hope they can get to the bottom of all this and help her get rid of infection!
I received unfortunate news myself. I sent pics of my boobs to my ps today. My celulitis is better but not going away and I have been on heavy duty antibiotics for a week now. He says he may have to take the new implant out to let it heal and get the infection under control. URGH CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!! Please say a prayer we don't have to do this!!!! He may be taking out the implant while I have my hyst/ooph instead of the tummy tuck. How depressing is that...as if I wasn't blue enough. :-(
-
Janet, I am so sorry.. this whole thing sucks... we laugh and we try so hard to stay POSITIVE.. and for the most part... we are TOUGH chicks! But still, we have to realize... the reason we are all here. Breast Cancer. Bottom line. IT SUCKS! AND SCREAM ALL YOU NEED!
You can be positive tomorrow...

Bless you!
Laura
-
DV8Q, That is so funny how you can hear our accents as your read our post....I have never though of doing that....and I am Blanche of the Golden Girls.....hehehehehe
Jazzy, Sister I am sooooo sorry....yes I will pray that you do not have to remove your implant....I will pray for a quick healing so it will not have to come to that.....
Hello all, I have been so busy that I have missed spending time here with you all.....counting down the days til Sept 25th.....
-
Linda.. you are WAY MORE southern than Blanche of the Golden Girls sister.. WAY MORE!
I have yet to hear such a southern accent...:)

I LOVE IT.. and you! -
Laura (estepp)- Just read your blog - wonderful!
Susan and Janet, please please take it easy today so you can heal up best. Please please please. I'm praying for Renee today, and you two too!
-
Thanks Rachel.... the blog is just like a story huh... a story like we ALL have....:)
I am glad you liked it...
-
Jazzy--God Dammit God Dammit God Dammit! I am so sick of this for you. What's next? Perhaps they'll just decide to throw your torso into a meat grinder and work from there?
Sending out thoughts of healing and gentle hugs to all who need it...ah, hell...to those who don't need it either!
Catherine
-
Catherine... eeekkkkkkkkk
I do not believe God had anything to do with Jazzy's state right now.. but .. if we all pray hard enough....maybe... we can help her heal without removing the implant... Let all try it...
If you believe... pray with me...
Lord, please allow Janet to heal on her own. We ask, if it is your will, that she not have to have her implant removed and her infection heals. Only you can heal it for her. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
-
AMEN
-
OK I'M IN A PUDDLE OF TEARS!! You girls...I have no words for you all...thank you for caring for me so much! I have always known that I was blessed with wonderful friends, but I am blown away at how it just keeps multiplying as I grow! Thank you from the bottom of my soul. I love you girls and I pray for all of you as well! How lucky we are to have found eachother!
My appt is tomorrow and we'll see what the doc has to say. I really think the pictures show more redness than what really is there.....we'll see what he says. He still thinks i would be happier and have a better outcome if I were to lose some weight before he does the tummy tuck. I'm in this depressed state right now to where I'm afraid I won't be able to lose the weight. Damn I hate feeling so blue it just about pisses me off! I'm the motivator I can't have these feelings...right??...anyway this means I will have to wait until at least Oct for the tummy tuck. I know you know this feeling...I just want it all done with so I can get on with my life! I have a feeling I will never be "done with it". It's something we all have to accept and adjust to I suppose.
Anyway, it's time to pick myself up, dust myself off, and start all over again. :-)
HUGS! JazzyJ
-
AMEN!!!
and... Janet... a couple more words.. first of all GO TO BED. Give your body a chance to heal. It's not your body's fault, be kind to it!
I want you to get what you want, and for frik's sake, you have been on this hellish ride for too long, its perfectly natural you would want it over sooner, so I am praying that prayer that things go the way you want it.
It concerns me that you are faffing off your beloved PS. He's telling you you will be happier if you wait. You keep pushing things and then being set back. Please, for heaven's sake, if you do (or even if you don't) get this prayer answered, help G-d and your surgeon and your body by doing as the doc says from here out. Treat yourself as you would one of your kids, someone you love.
-
Gentle hugs all...
-
Catherine
Boy was I shocked when I started reading post this morning...After being on this board for a year now I have never seen someone use God's name like that. God' name is Holy......
It was unnessary to use God's name in such a manner. You can express your flustration other ways. I would appreciate it if you would edit your post to remove those offending words....I love God and I am VERY offended. Thank you in advance......
JAZZY
((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) you are in my prayers.......
-
Amen!

Man...been off the board for another 4 or 5 days and lots to get caught up on again. You ladies are wearing me out. Jazzy, girl friend, from time to time I have seen God select warriors to take the most pain and frustration this dirt ball we live in can dish out. Wear your shield and spear well and know He has given you a small but strong army of friends to fight with you! Oh, and what Rachel said - GET SOME REST! Love ya
- Gretch -
Jazzy, I love ya & you've got all the Pink Warrior's behind you As well as me.I'll be alittle out of it,but will send out my "SUSIE VIBES" and a power PRAYER to you!!! Were quit the pair-I'm sitting here doing my morning breathing machine catching up on all the love & outpour-my dear friend Wendy came from Olympia to be here for the surgery today. She's got a big smile on her face watching me with the mouth piece as I inhale-which brings me to say this....Life is to short & all of us have been thru the ringer to many times to mention, but we've got our Dear Friends to see us thru who have seen us at our worst & love us unconditionaly as do our families...then we've got our TA TA Sisterhood who know's more than anyone else what we gone thru on a daily bases's. I know from all the experiences I've gone thur that God has a big plan for me as he does for each & everyone one of you-we just keep pulling for one another, supporting one another, vent when we need to and know were all fighter's & already winner's...we survived. Don't know how long I'll be in,depend's on what he find's after I'm cut open & how much more or less he'll have to do with the infection & mesh. I LOVE YOU SISTA'S Vegas is my RAINBOW for my storm- I just keep on DANCIN thur it!
TAke care Chow XOXO Susie

Sorry Linda, no offense intended. Just venting frustration over another sister's plight.
Catherine
-
WOW!
Thanks for all of the concern gang. My appt isn't until 5pm pacific time. We will have a lot of deciding to do...I will check in tonight for sure. I'm mostly concerned about Susie. I Hope they find the cause of her infection today during surgery!
HUGS! JazzyJ

Hi all,
I think I'm out on the Vegas trip. I had put myself on a list for Casting for Recovery in PA (there is no So Cal location). I got an email today that I'm in! The trip is late August/early September. Since I'm in SoCal, I can go to Vegas anytime.....I really want to go to the east coast!
That combined with a few family summer trips is just too much when I still need to fit in my hysterectomy and phase II of my reconstruction.
I will stay on this thread and can't wait to hear about the trip, see photos, etc.!
-
Thanks Daisy! You're on! You buy me one and I'll buy you one!! WOO HOO!!
Lisalisa I'm so bummed you won't be joining us in Vegas!! What is casting for recovery?? Do tell!
My appt went well today. I got 2 tubes out!!! WOO HOO!!! Unfortunately not the one that has been so dang painful. My dear ps right away injected some botox in that area. He said that I have been in pain over that tube from day one and he just can't stand to see me in pain. :-) I do want to run away with him! shhh Anyway...he isn't too concerned about the redness and says it is much better. He thinks it could even be a reaction to the alloderm instead of celulitis. He said lets just keep an eye on it and take it one day at a time. I LOVED those words! On another note, he really would like to see me lose weight before the tummy tuck because he wants the best outcome for me. This means I will have to wait and try to lose weight. I am scheduled for a hyster/ooph on the 23rd and he was going to do the tummy tuck at the same time...now I may just be having the surgery without tummy tuck. That is if I am recovered enough by then. The plan was to have the surgery before our insurance yr ends June 30. This lat flap recovery has been way more difficult for me than I had expected, but I am so glad I had it done! I stopped taking pain meds and sleeping pills last night, only because I want to start driving again...duh another stupid act on my part! I was still in pain and I couldn't sleep. haha I crack myself up not to mention I'm really not ready to drive yet.
So all in all it was a good appt and I'm happy to have at least 2 tubes gone! Next appt is this Thurs to hopefully get the other 2 out!! Thank you ALL for thinking and praying for me! It means more than words can express!!
HUGS to ALL of my Ta Ta Sistahs!!!
-
Dang it! I'm STILL UP! 4:30am! I even took 2 sleeping pills earlier! Urgh...guess this calls for some Vicodin. I really do need my sleep!
I bank with Bank of America and just got my new Susan G Komen debit card! OMG It is so stinkin pretty!! It's black with the pink ribbon: Susan G Komen Debit Card
OK girls gonna try to sleep...Catch ya in the morning...or when I wake up I should say. :-)
HUGS! JazzyJ

Jazzy happy to hear things went well
-
It's a fly fishing retreat for SURVIVORS of breast cancer! They are all over the country. I live in SoCal and there is not one near me. So, I'm going to the "main" one in Skytop, PA.
I first heard about this last October on the Today Show, just a month after I was diagnosed. I put my entry in and I was chosen in a lottery. Check out the website. There may still be spots available at other locations!
-
Jazzy hope you are getting some much needed sleep......things sound some what better for you...
LisaLisa sorry you won't be joining us in Vegas.....congrats on getting chosen for the flyfishing
I just got back from seeing my PS and he is thrilled with the results of my revision that was 5 weeks ago.....he was smiling from ear to ear.....he wants to see me in 6 weeks (July 21st) and said we would set a date for the nipples (he likes to wait 3 months from any surgery) which would be sometime in August.....yeeeepeeeee
-
LisaLisa- Wow that Casting For Recovery thing is COOL! I am going to look into it!
Suzy- I am thinking about you constantly and sending you all my best prayers. Wonderful that your friend came up to be with you.
Janet- OK, now that you are a little bit happy... is the reason why you have been pushing yourself like this partially because of some insurance limitation? Like if you dont have everything done by the end of the insurance year you wont get it paid for? As much as that would make me angrier (at the health insurance people) than I can express, it would make some sense out of things. I am thisclose to coming up there and sitting on you to make you sit down and rest. Last week you learned that you really should take the painkillers before the pain gets bad. You learned that beer is not a painkiller (for BC anyway). Now you are pushing yourself to drive. You gotta know that now you are taking not only your life in your hands- but also the other drivers. I drove for the first time yesterday since before March 5- and you all saw the picture of me at driver's training at the race track. I made mistakes driving. This is something I know. Maybe... maybe... since you wont take time out for yourSELF, if you think about the other people on the road you are endangering you will stop this madness?
You're in pain, you are beginning to lose some things you want like the tummy tuck, please, please, please take some time off to let your body heal so you can have everything you want!
I guarantee once this is over you can party and work and drive and everything- but it's not going to be over if you keep pushing it, it will just continue to make things worse!
A joke example:
The brain and the heart were having an argument about who was the boss of the body. The brain said well obviously I am the boss, because I do all the thinking. The heart said oh really? Try thinking without any blood supply. The stomach over heard this and said that's all fine and well but without me, you wouldn't have any nutrients and you'd both starve. Meanwhile, the asshole was trying to say something, but these other organs disregarded the asshole. The lungs chimed in about breathing and skin was going on and on but the asshole couldn't get a word in edgewise. Finally the asshole plugged itself up. Soon, the stomach couldn't digest, the heart couldn't pump and the brain couldn't think. And that's how the asshole become the boss.
The pain is your body trying to tell you to stop what you are doing. This is not the kind of pain you "work through". Don't wait until the parts of your body have to prove who is the boss!

Hi Girls!!! Many Many Thank you's for all the prayer's- I fineally got a break. But 1st let me tell you all, your all in my prayer's to for everything each of you are going thru. I'm afraid to start listing name's in the event I forget someone & your all truely special & remarkable. I made it thru the surgery remarkable well, found out the sorce of the infection & abyss was 3 stitches from the hysterectomy that didn't dissolve like they were suppose to. I got to come home shortly after the surgery-talk about getting a good break. But, I did experiece a reaction to one of the med's for nausea......been dealing with bout's of it with the temp.s, so the nurse got me some med's for it,one I had before, but this was a 1st for PROMETHAZINE-I had a red hurtful rash on my neck within 5-10 minute's after getting it & boy did it burn going thru the IV. Next headacke, throat swelled up-voice changed & hard to breath, rash spread to arms, blood pressure soared-got some benadryl, which again burned, dealt with various side effect for 2 1/2 hours-dizzy, felt like I had to pee & it was hurtful-benadryl thru the IV is harder on you as the nurse let me know, I told her wasn't I suppose to be feeling this way after the surgery not before??!! But good new's is I didn't have to stay & the mesh is still there. I've got a 3" incision that is 3-4"deep that I have to clean & stuff with gauge twice a day.So now I'm on my way & sound's like Jazzy is right behind me & afew of you are there too!!! Yeah for all of us. Thanx for everything!! Rachel, told my surgeon about the alien part & also shared the doll eye's & temp. tattoo, he laughed so hard, then guess what I found after surgery.....he had placed 2 of those medical sticker's that get hooked up to you right where my nipples use to be,well...the left one had to be below it-pretty funny!!! Take care all of you Chow XOXO Susie
