morning all. So nice today, sunny and warm, windows open and birds chirping right outside my window. Just hanging out waiting for the plumber (major leak under the kitchen sink, think we need a new faucet). I really hope they come this am cause I actually have a few things to do today
-
Good morning.
We had storms in the night and are supposed to have more rain today. I don't really mind though. It kind of fits my mood.
Thanks for the comments on my avatar. I wish my hair still looked like that. That picture was taken last spring and my hairdresser seems to have forgotten how to do it. I guess it doesn't matter now that I am about to lose it all anyway. Yes, I bought two of those "halos" to wear with hats. I think that will be cooler than a wig, but I did get a wig also and will probably get at least one more. I don't have any scarves yet, but I cannot imagine I could tie those on my best day! They look so cute, but mine would never look like that.
I am going to finish cleaning the bathroom today. And I hope that's it.
Happy day to all!
-
MaryRose I love your avatar too!! Tell me again when you think your hair will start leaving? I know you probably mentioned it, but I have chemo brain sometimes:)
Barbe you have to work when everybody else is off, huh? Bumber.....but at least you can take off during the week. I hope the weather cooperates with you.
Elaine good to see you. I feel like I can hear your birds too:) I just hate waiting on somebody to come, don't you? It seems like they never get there soon enough. Hope your day is great!! How was DD's birthday? I think our kids are about the same age. My DD is 21.
OK...uuummmmm, does it mean since Makraz doesn't have kids this week, she's gonna clean our houses. You'll need to come by the office first to get my house key, but I'll have it ready and the list too
hehe
Hope all you ladies have a great day!!! I have such a great job. Get to play on computer and work at the same time..........and GET PAID!!!
-
Well I am back from cleaning the living room, its mopped and the couch cushion covers are in the wash. Even swept all the crumbs that dd managed to get under the cushions. Then again maybe I should have kept them there in case there's a food shortage one day. From the looks of it I'm sure it could have supplied the neighborhood for a good week or more.
I have a migraine today (and yesterday) so I'm gonna lay my aching head down for the moment and then start on the dining room so will check back in then.
-
Well, I had a cute pic with a pooch that has a headache and an ice bag on his head, but my work computer won't let me post pics.
Mom sure hope you're feeling better soon!!! Must have been that yard sale, huh? hehe
-
coonie- Thanks! I meet with the oncologist this Wednesday so not really sure when I will start yet and what...about two weeks I am hearing...to lose your hair after you start? I'm ready to have a plan in place. I'm at that in between stage where I am ready to move on but wanting to stay in this post-op healing phase because I didn't have to worry about any tests or appts then.
Mom- feel better soon!
It is pouring rain here.
-
Coonie- my dd is 18 (on Friday), ds is 21 (in March) and dh is 50 (today)! We are planning one big party in June when everyone is home. Actually, I mentioned to dh that I felt like I was loosing control over the party plans...his reply was that I NEVER had any control. More I think about this- more I like it....
I just have to show up.
Mom- so sorry for the migraine, they can be brutal. Gentle, gentle hugs
MaryRose- hugs

MaryRose that's about right. I REALLY started losing mine after my second treatment of AC. When it started coming out in huge clumps, my DD shaved it. It was on Christmas Day 2007. A Christmas I will never forget, but last Christmas I had a head full and felt soooo very blessed!! You'll do fine and get through it all. Just hang in there and take care of YOU! I'm praying for you!
Elaine So, when is YOUR birthday? Man, all of your family gets a year older at one time, don't they? Parties are better controlled or NOT controlled
-
Mine is in July and I will only be a meisly 49. I am huge believer in celebrating birthdays.
-
Me too Elaine!! I think it's a blessing to have birthdays:) I just turned 46......it's sounding younger and younger every day
-
Happy birthday Coonie!
-
Well, it was back in March, but thanks
I guess everyday we wake up should be a re-birth day, huh?
-
Oh I like that idea...re-birth day...sort of encourages the idea of celebrating each day, doing and saying things today and not waiting for some day of the right day. I like it! Its my party and I do what I want sort of thing (well without the obnoxious tone).
Sorry I missed March- we were celebrating ds's 21st, and doing college visits.
Ohhh plumber is here, day isn't totally blown waiting
-
I don't think it's Coonies birthday today, but just in case, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!
Mary, they have "pre-tied" head scarves. Check them out. They are like caps and you either thread a coloured scarf through the loops or you just put on the cap and bring the ends up to tie them on top of your head.

Coonie sent me a PM on how to post my own pics so here's my first shot at it:
Above pic is me & DD.
Above pic is DS (16 that gives me all the headaches), me, DD, & DH! p.s. The shirt I am wearing is the famous "Construction Zone" tshirt I had made! You can kind of see the pink sparkle of the letters. The BC ribbon is on the shoulder where DD is. : )
-
Awwwh man....it didn't work
Keep trying....not sure what you're doing wrong
-
Okay. I see it worked but why did one come out tiny & the other one huge???????
-
yippeee yippeee yippeee I see it I see it!!! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY YOU HAVE!!! One is smaller, but at least you know how to do it now. You can edit the size over in photobucket. I'm so proud of you 2new1s. You're addicted now!!! More more more.....we want more!!
-
Hey!! I can see them both!!
One tiny, one big.
Now you have to work with the 'sizing' aspect.
Attempt to keep the largest side around 500.
Ladies. I think today actually is CarolMarie's birthday.......
So let's whooooop it up on her behalf.
-
BTW. You and your whole family are gorgous...... but you sweetie are a knock out!
-
I can't see them at work due to security features, waaaaaaaaaaah
I'll have to remember to scroll back when I get home.
Hey! If it's someone's birthday, we don't have to do housekeeping! Isn't that the "rule"?
-
Okay gals, I resized the second pic. Now it looks better. Thank you for the compliments! Now you can put a face to me!
-
Yep that's the rule Barbe.
Oh thanks Faithie. I knew it was somebody's birthday. I can't post from photobucket from work, but I'll make her a banner when I get home........and maybe a cake too.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROLMARIE!!!!
-
Girl, you are GORGEOUS and you're doing so good on posting the pics!!! You learn fast!!
-
-
hehe uhhh oohh......we have another addict!!
You're doing good 2new1s. Now you're hooked. You can post anything that has a "name"........lol
-
Very cool! Love the pics...dd is a cutie, as is the family. Hang in there, things will get better w/ds, they do grow up!
Guess I will have to break down and learn to post pics. Suppose I should get my photos onto computer first. Maybe thats tomorrows project.
Happy birthday to CarolMarie.
-
