OWO. My god. It's over. Obama is our president -elect. Someone pinch me. And my state went BLUE!! Thank you, Colorado!

McCain's speech was sincere and heartfelt. I do believe he will try to work with barak to make changes, despite the heat and the tenor of the previous months.

I have never been prouder to be an American as I am right now.

If I never hear the words "my friends' again, I will be a happy woman. That said, it was a very nice speech McCain gave.  He did good.

    Can't wait for President-Elect Obama's speech!

I am so thrilled Obama won but I was so impressed with McCain's speech.  If only he could have shown that side of himself all along these results may have been different.  I love the USA!

Anybody know the story of Nader on Fox?  I tuned in to see Sheperd Smith asking him if he wanted to take bake his "Uncle Tom" comment.  WTF?  Then, after the commercial, Smith and his co-host declared Nader is "history" after his remarks.

    weird....

YaHOOOOO!!!  We won't know our Guv's results for a few days so keep the faith for her re-election. ... OMG ... our local news is predicting her win, but I'm nervous that it's too early... Hope they are right ... What an INCREDIBLE DAY!!!

I really am so happy now and feel a sense of relief.  I know we have a lot of work ahead of us...but we have a man who cares!!!  What a difference!  OK..I can go on all night, but I do need to get some rest.  We'll talk tomorrow!  Now onto the inauguration!

We did it!  I can't believe it!  I didn't know who won until I woke up this morning!  Sending hugs to all of you.  I'm so sorry I couldn't chat with ya all.  My lap top is my computer from work and it doesn't have java.  This is an exciting day and I'm so glad that I was part of History being made.

I watched Obama give his beautiful victory speech and couldn't stop the tears - same thing with so many of the men and women standing so proudly in Grant Park for their hero.

I know many of the M/P camp will be disappointed to wake this morning and see that the "riots" in the street didn't happen.  I hope that most of them can get past the boogeyman tactics and join in the healing of our great nation.

I am so proud of this country - I had so fervently hoped for a good sized lead.......talk about beating expectations!  God bless America and it's people...

Congratulations!  I hope that you ladies are right about how wonderful the next 4 years will be.

I hope that his eloquence is reflected in his actions, and that the very deep divisions in this nation (and on these boards) can be healed.

Obama's speech last night was wonderful. I found myself with tears streaming down my face. I am so full of hope and desire for our country. It's a time to tighten the belts and work hard to get the change we need.

I am more politically connected than I have ever been. I think many of us are, on both sides of the aisle. I see it as our personal duty to stay connected. To demand high standards of ethics and professionalism from our elected officials. Now is the time to work hard--and it will be hard--to put this country back on the right track. We need to hold our state and national officals' feet to the fire. It is ur responsibility.

Wow, I'm living in a blue state. But for Ohio and Virginia and Florida--big hugs to all the folks who helped change the nation.

BC sisters, let's keep the passion going.

    Anne
