ebann- we aren't all christians on this site and we all don't believe in your version of bible... it's hard to read what he's trying to say through all the preaching.

I have been on cnn the past few weeks and will probably stay there, if you all want to chat there are two chat rooms first one is normally used and 2nd one isn't so jump in there to chat if you want to talk real time. You won't bother anyone and you can have up to 20 or 30 people there at once.

PA voters are saying the Wright commericals turned out the vote------------- for OBAMA. Thanks PA RNC, your racist ads had the opposite effect you intended.

I heard the new robo calls that went out to the cuban population in FL by the McCain campaign.  First they said it was RNC then corrected it was McCain/Palin campaign that did them.  It was horrible and all lies to scare these people to vote for McCain.  That has really sealed the deal for me how terrible of a person he is or his campaign workers are.  Maybe they did it without his approval, at least I hope so but it sure was nasty!

Sorry I can't join you in the chat room could use some fun but really am just feeling to poorly to enjoy.  Just laying in my recliner watching all the excitement.

LuAnn, I'm so sorry you're not feeling well and hope you feel better soon!!!

Amy, I can't really "work" chat -- I'll just have to be there in spirit.

I'm trying not to be worried sick about this (I was so traumatized by 2000, I don't think I'll ever get over it -- but that reminds me, Nicki, you ACTUALLY DID pick the winner in 2000, you know what I mean???!!!!!)

Who said it was like Christmas?  Flyrzfan?  I almost never get up before 9 AM, but I was bolt upright at 5:42 this morning, took a shower, and got to polling place 2 blocks away by the time they opened!  (Well, technically, I guess that's because they opened a little late, 6:10 instead of 6 AM.)  It was like a party!  4 apartments out of 19 in my building voting there within 5 minutes of each other!  And 2 other friends from the neighborhood that I hadn't seen in ages.  I don't think anybody was voting Republican at our polling place...

It was the most crowded I'd ever seen it -- and two other nearby polling places (this is NYC, really densely populated, so there's a polling place very few blocks) had lines out the door and down the block -- I've NEVER seen that before.

Cute thing I saw -- remember those pictures of the dogs "marking" campaign signs?  Well, a bar in my neighborhood had a big wooden "Obama-Biden" sign out on the sidewalk, leaning against the building -- as I was passing, a woman walking her dog approached from the opposite direction.  Doggy was really interested in "marking" that sign, but she wouldn't let him!  That's my blue neighborhood for ya!!!

Of course I convinced quite a few others to vote Obama along with me  :)  Plus we have a huge minority population that need something positive to pull them forward.  I am hoping seeing a black president will give these young kids the proof that they can work hard and get what they want without going on the corner to score the easy buck selling drugs.

I have worked downtown with these youth and they struggle and really need something to hold onto.

207 electoral votes as of now. He'll get 55 in CA. It's over. If only Virginia could please come through. I want to be proud of my state. I want to see the south come home to the Democratic party. I wish I could be in Grant Park tonight. Chicago is my home town. I will stay up to see Obama's speech no matter the time.

I love this country! I love my president elect. Congratulations to McCain on his concession speech was very good. The Mac is back--- I knew the real McCain was in there somewhere. I appreciate his remarks about Toot, but this win was more than just a victory for blacks, it was a victory for the world.
