Sad how we all wanted the same thing -- until we got it. This person is right. Un-fortunately the Democrats don't know how to message, and we sure don't know how to cheer on winners. This should not be happening but it is. I sure hope it will turn around.

Pulled this from an opinion by Alexandra Petri of the Washington Post. She was writing about the ten year old rape victim who had to cross state lines from Ohio to Indiana to have an abortion. When is a child not a child?
In the words of the counsel for the National Right to Life, Jim Bopp, the man who should have thought about the people his words would affect as he wrote model laws for state legislatures looking to restrict abortion after Roe v. Wade, "She would have had the baby, and as many women who have had babies as a result of rape, we would hope that she would understand the reason and ultimately the benefit of having the child."
What a disgusting man.
-
Yeah, easy for him to say, since he will never have to go through a rape and resulting pregnancy!

So hoping the Committee gets to the bottom of this, and DOJ follows up.

When I dare to be powerful--to use my strength in the service of my
vision--then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.

Pretty pathetic who gets hero-whorshipped by the in VA and other places by the Reps. I cringe and almost can't un-do it.

The simplification of life is one of the steps to inner peace. A
persistent simplification will create an inner and outer well-being
that places harmony in one's life. For me this began with the
discovery of the meaninglessness of possessions beyond
my actual and immediate needs.

Only true if she has a soul which I've thought was questionable for some time.

Of course not, but then again, there may be a few Reps. slinking away from the cheers they were preforning -- so we will have to see if damage to the Reps. ensues.

Dangerous and very crazy. They don't seem bothethered that the things they are doing hurt them -- they are just focused on taking away from the rest of us, period.

Just read a piece where Bernie Sanders had lots to say about Joe Manchin putting in the sabbotage again on the Democrats. He is going to protect himself and the Va. miners that have made his pockets a lot heavier than they would have been. It all comes down to money -- definitely the root of ALL evil. Look how many of your own kind got shafted-- so you can have, Manchin -- like you need maybe a nicer boat to live in or fancier car or what. So, I hope, but who knows -- as you toss away the respect you might have earned and most certainly some votes. I will never vote for the guy again. Hadn't done a thing for me, and doing less all the time.

Yes, Biden's dog knew something no one else did about the Secret Service. I'm not entirely kidding either. I do think no one should be immune in the government from fair oversight. Meaning that there should be norms/standards/rules that are used and not broken. Maybe we would not have the Clarence Thomas situation going on nor the Coney Barrett either.
Like McKenzie Wilson, att 10 yrs. of age I could no more have dealt with, in any way a pregnancy. I barely knew how it happened anyway. Not to say that I was kept from that type of info -- I just had that little interest at the time. Someone needs to give some heavy-duty schooling to Rokita and those like him. I doubt whether there is a 10 yr. old alive who has the maturity, never mind the desire to experience motherhood. For my money the world is set up now in such a way that the youngsters 'grow' up sooner than they should in my book. Almost a crime in my book to make their maturity start at the age of 10. The Reps. are out of their minds ( drunk with possible power ) and I'm hoping that translates POORLY for them come election time.

It would be wonderful.

The Secret Service should be loyal when they are protecting fine, upstanding, very honest and dignified presidents. The orange Loon was none of those, and just an evil con man, and while they had to duty to protect him physically from harm, shielding information, expecially after a 'production' like 1/6 -- are you kidding me???

As a young doctor, I thought that serving life was a thing of drama and action and split-second judgment calls. A question of going sleepless and riding in ambulances and outwitting the angel of death. A role open only to those who have prepared themselves for years. Service was larger than ordinary life, and those who served were larger than life also. But I know now that this is only the least part of the nature of service. That service is small and quiet and everywhere. That far more often we serve by who we are and not what we know. And everyone serves whether they know it or not.
We bless the life around us far more than we realize. Many simple, ordinary
things that we do can affect those around us in profound ways: the unexpected
phone call, the brief touch, the willingness to listen generously, the warm smile
or wink of recognition. All it may take to restore someone's trust in life may be
returning a lost earring or a dropped glove. -
Isn't that the truth, Ruth. There are far too many worshipers in the Bullshitology Ch. too. I really was caught off guard to find the SS were apparently members. Sure makes me wonder just how long it will take to clean up the Loon mess. I do know it is not just him. Reagan started us on the road to ruin in the Republican party so while the Loon embodies all the worst items, they have all been festering for a long time. He just made it safe for it all to come out in the open a lot more.
I think we have to keep in mind that we are trying for a more perfect union. We will never have one, but the imperfections that have grown to such size under the Loon sure need to be laid to rest.
I will never understand how so many people can 'look' the other way with a person like the Loon. I mean they must really have it in for those they perceive as the 'reason' they couldn't get anywhere or get what they wanted. I always think -- how hard is it to see MOST of us don't have what we want either. Yet the orange thing was able to convince them he'd blow it all up for them. Most haven't figured out that he did well for himself while doing nothing for them but taking their hard earned. Thy still haven't seen it and that is difficult for me. Are they lazy, stupid or both.
