Today, Mitch McConnell made an apparent 1st public admission regarding Biden’s win. While talking about COVID-19 stimulus negotiations he said. “I think we all know that after the first of the year, there's likely to be a discussion about some additional package of some size next year, depending upon what the new administration wants to pursue.”

Along with your news, HomeMom, that Barr is now declaring there was no election fraud, it seems as tho even the higher up Republicans are conceding since the six swing states have certified all votes, as Jackie reported. That must be what has sealed the deal for some of them.

I think they actually took a whole month to grieve the Trump loss. Poor widdle baybays.

(CNN) A Georgia election official on Tuesday condemned threats of physical violence and intimidation against election workers and officials, pleading with President Donald Trump to denounce the threats and urging both of the state's Republican senators to intervene.

"It's all gone too far," said Gabriel Sterling, the voting systems implementation manager for the Georgia secretary of state's office, during a Tuesday afternoon news conference at the Georgia Capitol.

Sterling, a Republican, grew visibly emotional as he described an incident in which a video of a Dominion Voting Machines contractor in Gwinnett County was spread online with claims of vote manipulation. After the video circulated, the man was accused of treason and found a noose outside his house. The man's family members have received death threats, Sterling said.

"You need to step up and say this ... stop inspiring people to commit potential acts of violence," Sterling said, addressing the President. "Someone's going to get hurt, someone's going to get shot, someone's going to get killed, and it's not right."

"Be the bigger man here and stop -- step in," Sterling added. "Tell your supporters, don't be violent, don't intimidate. All that's wrong, it's un-American."

Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh told CNN on Tuesday that "the campaign is focused on ensuring that all legal votes are counted and all illegal votes are not. No one should engage in threats or violence, and if that has happened, we condemn that fully."

CNN has reached out to the White House for comment.

For weeks, Trump has made a series of unfounded claims of fraud in Georgia, for which there is no evidence. Republican officials rebuffed Trump's calls to overturn the state's election results more than a week after they certified Joe Biden as the winner. Biden won the state with more than 12,000 votes.

The Trump administration has crusaded against whistleblowers and others who have spoken out in opposition during the President's term and refused to adopt his conspiratorial view of the election. In particularly extreme remarks Monday, an attorney for the Trump campaign issued a call for violence against a former cybersecurity official who had rejected the President's unfounded claims of widespread voter fraud. The attorney, Joe diGenova, later tried to walk back his remarks by portraying them as a joke.

Sterling criticized the incident on Tuesday, saying that diGenova, a former US attorney, "knows better."

Sterling said he has had police protection at his home, and that Georgia GOP Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger's wife has received "sexualized threats." Threats against Raffensperger were said to be bolstered after Trump called Raffensperger an "enemy of the people."

The elections official said he supports Republican Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, who are running in Georgia's runoff election in January, but added that "they need to step up on this particular thing."

"This is the backbone of democracy, and all of you who have not said a damn word are complicit in this," Sterling said.

He added, "Death threats, physical threats, intimidation. It's too much. It's not right. They've lost the moral high ground to claim that it is."

In response to Sterling's remarks, Perdue campaign communications director John Burke said that the senator denounced violence in general while maintaining that there were unspecified problems with the state's election methodology. There is no evidence of widespread election fraud in the state.

"Senator Perdue condemns violence of any kind, against anybody. Period," Burke said in a statement to CNN. "We won't apologize for addressing the obvious issues with the way our state conducts its elections. Georgians deserve accountability and improvements to that process -- and we're fighting to make sure the January 5th election is safe, secure, transparent, and accurate."

Loeffler campaign communications director Stephen Lawson tweeted a similar sentiment, denouncing violence and alleging without evidence that the state election system was somehow tainted.

"Like many officials, as someone who has been the subject of threats, of course Senator Loeffler condemns violence of any kind. How ridiculous to even suggest otherwise," Lawson wrote. "We also condemn inaction and lack of accountability in our election system process —and won't apologize for calling it out. Senator Loeffler will continue fighting to ensure we have a fair, trusted, and accurate election because the future of our country is at stake."

I've been a little AWOL cuz we had a tornado here early Monday morning. Dog and I are OK. No neighbors hurt, but lots of downed or snapped trees, and much property damage. My 2 oaks on the north side of the property fell onto neighbors' house and a branch went thru their van's windshield. My carport collapsed cuz south side neighbor's tree fell on it,, and thus my car was trapped. Any-hoo,,, much to deal with. Thankful for all your memes that keep me laughing. 2020 is just ending with another bang,,,,

Trump attorney issues call for violence against truth-telling former election cybersecurity official

An attorney for the Trump campaign on Monday issued a call for violence against Chris Krebs, a former cybersecurity official who was unceremoniously ousted from his post by President Donald Trump after he rejected the President's unfounded claims of widespread voter fraud.

Joe diGenova, the attorney for Trump's campaign, said during an appearance on "The Howie Carr Show": "Anybody who thinks the election went well, like that idiot Krebs who used to be the head of cybersecurity. That guy is a class A moron. He should be drawn and quartered. Taken out at dawn and shot."

A day later, diGenova tried to walk back his remarks by portraying them as a joke. "For anyone listening to the Howie Carr Show, it was obvious that my remarks were sarcastic and made in jest. I, of course, wish Mr. Krebs no harm. This was hyperbole in a political discourse," diGenova said Tuesday in a statement distributed by the Trump campaign.

A source familiar with Trump's election challenges said diGenova is believed to still be helping Rudy Giuliani, Trump's attorney, in challenging the presidential election results.

Asked about diGenova's comment, White House Communications Director Alyssa Farah told CNN, "That statement was wildly inappropriate."

Carr did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

We are okay here... I got so where I couldn't breathe... I became "addicted" to nasal-spray... Lasted over a month, before I finally asked someone about it!

Now I'm okay, and haven't used Claritin, nor ANY nasal spray for 3 days now. Man I was scared! It's called Reverse something. I finally used steam, & saline nasal spray, & slept one night sitting up. Pharmacist said "NO" do NOT use that nasal spray again. Supposed to use only 3 days, but I used it for over a month, 2-3 times a day. My own fault! All I know is, I can breathe, and my Daughter brought over the little MyPurMIst thing...

I can't even trust myself sometimes.... Hah!

Sounds like little hands Donnie with his non-existent heart just wants to keep on making trouble. He is only proving how right so many people really were to fire him and as he keeps it up maybe a lot of those who went ahead and voted for him will end up sorry they did. I'm talking mainly about Reps. who are so Republican that IF they vote it has to be for their party period. I'm concerned for any officials ( anyone really ) who runs afoul of the ignorant "emperor" because his gut ( maybe that part is not so bad ) is getting him in big trouble and he might just help us get at least, but if fortunate both of those Georgia seats.

I think I read something somewhere on the way here that many, many of the Reps. know darn well that Biden is going to be sworn in and that there was no fraud or hanky-pankey in the election. They just don't want to upset the apple cart too soon. I still would put them in the category of slimy spineless weasels for it. Trump has no power ( or at least not nearly as much ) left to hurt them and he seems intent on putting himself out there one way or the other at any and every turn that he can. I realize that part of it is so he can continue to keep fleecing people -- and those stupid folk deserve to be separated from their money.

Barr woke up, but that is not a big surprise. I presume he hopes to slither away while no one is looking and making nice in advance may help. It is a shame so few of the Trump followers seem to be noticing that he is dumping on a lot of the Reps. in government now as though they were as bad as the 'Dems'. Butter wouldn't melt a while back and now they and many of the Reps. governors are such heinous people. They are never going to get that no one means anything to Trump but Trump period.
