Micmel, glad to hear you are more resigned to being the director, it's not a bad place to be. Yes it's hard to give up the doing, I hate how this disease grinds us down. I will be in your pocket (with the Kleenex) jumping up and down to keep you going and keep you company.... between the Ritalin plus my dexamethadone (steroid) from Taxol#18 today, you can pull this off. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it will be fabulous! Remember to please take a deep breath every once and a while and savour the moment! Oh and I saw the bubbles pic....umm, can we send you a virtual toast at then end of the day for a terrific job ?
SheilaMarie, sending you warm healing calming hugs. Could I be in your pocket to calm the pain?...kind of like a worry stone that takes it away just a little bit. Losing my hair was hard, it strikes at who we are and tells the world we are sick. Yes it is upsetting. This time I got my hair cut really short when it fell out. On Taxol, it has grown back quite a bit...now about a finger width. I wear funky hats that I can stuff into my pocket or purse (I love Weekender Hats made in Portland, Or) if my head gets cold.

Thinking of you today, Mel!!! Praying you all have a wonderful day and that things go smoothly
-
thank you my beautiful friends. I'm already sweating. Ugh! Much love ~M
-
Thinking of you today, Micmel, & of the beautiful reception you've created for your DD. You are responsible for the vision so it really doesn't matter if you accept some help with the execution. Relax & enjoy this special day. And share a slow, romantic dance with your sweet DH! We'll all be humming along in your pocket - we'll try not to drown out the music!
-
Micmel, you are all set for a beautiful celebration today. As JKL said, we're going to be in your pocket. I'll try not to snitch the refreshments.
-
This is the set up portion without guests the two back tables will be removed after dinner for dancing. Replaced with cocktail tables for guests drinks to place upon. It came together in my mind finally! And now I actually see it!
-
here is my centerpieces. Took forever but I love them! The elephant cards are for people to write things to them!
-
Micmel thinking of you fondly today. Sending love and encouragement. Everything looks fabulous. So many beautiful touches of elegance.
Have a great time

First off a huge awesome shower of happiness for Holmes on NEAD. Could not be happier for you. That is a beautiful song to sing. ! 😊😊
I am like another word beyond tired or exhausted. My spine is about to snap! I danced!! A lot, I really enjoyed dancing. The DJ was awesome and he really made the people want to get up and dance! We had a packed venue for sure. It was something else. I had such a beautiful day. Surrounded by love and happiness. The guests were wonderful, I am just so thankful I was able to celebrate and be able to feel the best I have in two years. I'm just overwhelmed with joy! More pics to follow.
Thank you Daywalker for your kind words. I enjoy doing stuff like that a lot! It was fun for me!
JKL, my sweet friend thank as well for your kind compliments on my decorations. I was so pleased everyone kept saying how lovely everything was for them. I agree it was a lovely day.
Minnie~ thank you too honey. It means so much to hear it from you guys. I worked so hard for months and months. But well worth it
Shelia Marie~ we had the hugest dessert table with like 8 kinds of different choices. Mini apple pies, lemon cup cakes with creamcheee icing. Then a lemon muffin coated in lemon icing. Brownies , chocolate chip bars. Small cherry cheese cakes... it was amazing. One of my long time neighbors did it for their present. Such a special touch. I have left overs delicious yes yes they are. Yum!
Waving hello to Mae.
Gracie~ Thank you sweetheart. It warmed my heart today to celebrate something I thought I may have never seen. 😊❤️ You gf!
Lynne(50's) thank you dear friend. It means so much that you checked in. This is your home remember that 🌷💙!!

WOW micmel. I love seeing your vision come to reality. In more ways than one. Seeing you happy with your DD and SIL, remarkable considering where your relationship was a few months ago. Your creativity coming alive to make your vision of the decor a reality. For me, when I have a creative outlet it means I'm feeling better mentality. I hope that's true for you, too. I know you'll have to have a few days of recovery but you danced and there are pictures to prove it.
I'm having coffee and have a beautiful view of the Chesapeake Bay. This house is gorgeous. There's a bird sanctuary near here and I wish I knew the names of all the birds flying by. We will go exploring today, so maybe I'll learn a few things.
I have a decision to make in the next week or so about TX. The 2cm 5.1 uptake in my liver did not show up at all in my my MRI. So, my IR has nothing to zap, my MO is confused too. However, there are four lesions on the MRI, very tiny, possibly scar tissue from y90 or possibly mets. So, what is the the new "met" on the PET? Inflammation? If it's a met why didn't it show up on MRI? Questions floating around in my head. My choices, stay on I/F or start AA. I've been off I F for about two weeks while having tests, Dr. Visits etc. Of course the plan is to rescan in three months, the end of October, if the area on PET persists or gets bigger, then another MRI.
I'm leaning towards staying on Ibrance until the next scan when the truth will reveal itself, one way or the other. Oh the choices we have to make, they can wear a person out!
-
....my beautiful DD, (wearing my wedding dress)myself and my sweet loving DH during the groom mother dance!!
-
Holmes, WOOHOO for your good news. That is fantastic. Did you wait to hear the news from your MO, or did you peek at the results on the patient portal?
Micmel, Thank you for posting pictures. You look beautiful, btw. It looks like it was a wonderful event. Now take it easy.
Grannax, It sounds like you picked a beautiful place for your vacation. Have fun
Hugs and prayers from, Lynne

thank you sweet ladies. I danced all night. I felt alive. My spine is mad at me today but she’ll get over it. It was one day cancer DID NOT have me!! I didn’t even think about it and no one really brought it up. I was strong and I felt absolutely great. I remember who decreed that I would be in good shape for this and they were right. It was either JKL or Muddling. Whomever, it was. The decree worked. Thank you so much.
Miss Bianca ❤️❤️ Footprints angel❤️❤️ Thank you for the prayers and support.
Thank you ladies for everything and being here with me on this thread. You’re all very special to me ! ~M~

Holmes!! Wow!! So great for you to hear NEAD!
Micmel, I don't have words to describe the greatness of the reception! Beautiful decor, and mostly the people, celebrating. So glad things have smoothed out for your circle. Happy you had a strong, happy day without you-know-what getting in the way at all. Many more of those days are ahead for you. Rest up now. Then, get the DJ's playlist out and listen to a song or two each day and remind your body how awesome it was and it still is! I
We're having a lot of rain, and I mean a lot. So far the wind is not too high and I'm hoping that continues. We are as ready as we can be but, selfishly I hope our power stays on. I feel so sad for all the people in much worse conditions. Our rivers won't reach their peak flood stage for days to come. We could get five inches or more today, on top of the inches we've already had.
-
Oh, Mel... how wonderfully beautiful! Thank you for sharing your wonderful day and beautiful daughter with us!
Holmes!!! Words cannot express the joy that I feel for your NEAD status!!! Congratulations isn’t big enough...
-
Micmel! You looked gorgeous and you daughter was stunning in your dress!!!! Wonderful pictures of a family coming together for a special day is just the way it's supposed to be! And dancing!!! Dang girl, I'm impressed!!!! Let the happiness of yesterday stay with you as you go forward! It's a beautiful memory no one can ever take from you!!!
