Got up to my Princess and Grace having one terrific play session under Daddy's supervision. They are still going at it. First it was on there cat tree and now it has gone to chasing each other around. Hope they tire out soon, I have lots of prep work for tomorrow to do.

I love these stories about happy cats.ย Please keep them coming!

Spot on Feline! ๐น๐น๐น
-
Feline, the cat toy cartoon is spot on!
Here is the latest picture of Princess and Grace

feelingfeiline - Love the cartoons. Cats goes nuts over the simplest things. I will spend money on those cat poles. Beau really goes to town on them. They save my furniture.
Mommyof2 - what is the tiger tabby yelling about? LOL I love when Beau complains to me.
-
At least it wasnโt decorated yet๐. Any suggestions on how to keep it upright
-
Grace was just talking. She is usually quiet until she wants food.
-
spookiesmom - I gave up putting up a big tree. I had a cat who would tackle the Christmas tree everyday. She would charge and make a flying leap into the tree! By the time Christmas rolled around I had a Charlie Brown Christmas tree LOL
-
I think thatโs what BratCat would do to
-
So far neither cat has tried to climb the tree. The only thing Grace has done was to paw at the ornaments that she can reach
-
Think this sums up how cats feel about the Christmas trees we put up
-
Spookie, After you make sure it's straight, put some kind of weight on the feet. It will be under the skirt so anything can be used.
Mommy, That's why the bottom of our tree had non-breakable ornaments. Only our first cat climbed the tree and she didn't knock it over.
-
Spookie we duct taped the top of the tree to the ceiling one year.
-
Ladies you crack me up! Spookiesmom love that pic of the tree. Looks like our house.
Feeling feline thanks for the cartoons and images. Mommyof2 your babies are so cute
-
I always told my male dogs it wasnโt indoor plumbing for them. Never had a problem. BratCat is a whole other problem.
-
Spookie, we caught one of our cats, when he was very young, laying on a bottom branch looking out at us. That was cute. What wasn't cute was the year they chased each other from upstairs and jumped through the tree AND down it went. My base was a metal bucket packed tight with wet sand so it was very sturdy. I ended up tying the tree to the railing using real strong fishing line from that year forward. It worked.

This was on our local news. Not sure where you can buy it.

Feline, that cat with its head in the top of the food dish is so my Princess when I am filling her food dish! lol
Thanks Rah, loves my baby girls!
I used to have to tie the tree to the door leading to our side porch. Surprised that this is the first year that Princess has left the tree alone, usually she is trying to climb up inside it. Now Grace is taking over as the cat who can't stay away from the tree. Luckily she only is going after the ornaments (non-breakable).

We were worried that the kittens (now about 12-13 weeks old) would tear the tree up, so we didn't use any of our glass ornaments, or ones with any sentimental value. The tree has been up since Friday, and so far their interest in it is minimal. I fully expect one of them to freak out and climb it one day, though.

lovepugs77 - mine just saw from across the room the twinkling of lights. That was enough for her, so she charged the tree and batted the Christmas balls around the house. The garland was pull half out of the tree. She was a terror at Christmas. Her name was Ginger, a calico cat. I had another cat try to lay in the branches. That didn't work. The tree came tumbling down. That was Sam. I don't know what Beau would do. I gave up putting up a large tree.
