Lisa, how beautiful life is when your strolling through Mother Nature's roadway! 🌸🌼🌺🌻🌹
-
Very beautiful Lisa. Someone has a beautiful garden. What kind of bird is the green one? It reminds me of a goldfinch but they aren't that green here anyway. How is your arm doing? Obviously it is not stopping you from taking great pics as usual. I finally took some time out from working in my yard and my flowers to take some pics of my flowers. Will have to post them later. Take care.
-
I don't know what bird it was,. Bigger than a Goldfinch I think.
-
The bird looks like a female/juvenile Goldfinch. The males and females all look alike in the winter months. It's very interesting to watch the males molt and turn gold in the Spring. Beautiful birds :-)
-
Here are some macro shots of the flowers in my garden,

Hope you all had a good Father's Day.

Thank you ladies. The two pics under the sunflowers are lantana. The ones below that are yellow begonias and peach begonias.

Beautiful Nancy! This is the only flower I have right now. It looks so sad and lonely

-
Thanks Lori. That is a beautiful flower, what kind is it?
-
Is that a poppy? I LOVE poppies!!! Doesn't look sad, looks very dominant...hehehehee
-
Now that you mention it barbe, it does look dominant!
I think it's an astrid, astoria something like that hhhmmmm
-
They are beautiful JO-5! I love the bright colors of the marigolds, they liven up any area they are in!
-
Beautiful Joanne. Maybe you will catch the macro bug too!
-
Jo, love the orange one!!!! Marigolds keep a lot of bugs out of your gardens.
-

I was sitting on the deck this morning andMama and Papa geese came over with ALL the kids!! The 7 smaller geese are this years babies, the 6 larger geese are last years and Mama and Papa are in the flock somewhere!

Love this time of year with all the baby ducklings. So cute. Is this another mystery flower or exotic poppy. Very pretty. There was a beautiful full moon tonight but I was absolutely worn out and no way was I getting my camera out tonight. I worked in my roses till dark as it was.
I went to visit my swans on Sunday and they are definitely up to something. The female hissed at me and i think they are either on the nest I am guessing. Instead of in the water they waddled up to this island and stayed there. Can't wait to see what will happen
Barbe. I met two nuns that were there visiting the swans and they made some comment that made me think they were not from around here. They were dressed it the full habit in a very pretty blue color. I said I bet you aren't from around here. They said we are from Canada. I didn't want to get too personal and ask what they were doing here so I didn't. We had a nice little chat and then I left.
Have a good night everyone.

I noticed my 5 layer ruffle tiger lily was in bloom... Ok so only one bloom :-)
-
How many nuns do I know in Canada.......uh, nun. heheheheheheh
I have no idea what church blue nuns are from. I only knew black and white nuns.
Lisa, the depth of detail on that white flower is spectacular!!! Where are the dots on the tiger lilies?
-
Good one Barbe. LOL
-
I remember when Senator Dirksen would ramble on about making the marigold the National US flower. But that was more than 50 years ago now..
I took a walk today with an array of flowers I could not forget in Balboa Park. The horrible pain in my broken arm is now alleviated with the surgery to fix the rod from twisting in my bone. 9 months...I still approach using my arm with caution but I still expect the pain and am surprised that it feels so much better. I can also say I have officially been screwed...lol
-
Lisa, I am glad you can find humor in a bad situation, So glad that your pain is much better. I love the pics and my absolute favorite is the last one. What a precious little duckling surrounded by such beauty. His or her bill seems to coordinate with the purple flowers.

Sunset on our lake
-
Barbe~ thank you, not a tiger lily just a 5 layer ruffled lily. Looks like I'm going to get one a day for the next few days. It would be great to get 2 or 3 a day but then they'd be gone so much sooner. There are more buds to open soon :-)
-
LOVE the reflection shots Lisa and Lori!!! Sometimes I'll do "theme" photo op walks and find that helps me focus on specific ops. Doesn't mean I won't take other shots, it just helps like a shopping list. Sea gulls was one of my favourites and I have two 5-picture frames with one called "Mr. C. Gull" and the other "Mrs. C. Gull". They hang in my powder room and I know my guests enjoy them.
-
Nice Lori. I would like to see that.
Barbe good idea .
-
Lori, beautiful pic!
-
Thank you everyone! I'm trying to get a picture of our sunrise over our neighbors lake butI'm having a hard time getting up before the sun these days!
-
Of all the lilies planted on our property why is it the prettiest one doesn't spread from year to year :-(
