Luv the Heron Lori. We have a Heron and an Egret. I stalk them, but they rarely let me get close, at least not when I have my Canon and zoom lens.

I'm waiting for the pair of cormorants and the American Coots thst show up every summer. My DH is going to make a few different nesting boxes for me to put up in the trees for the wood ducks next year. He's afraid we'll be attracting so many birds that our fish will be the main course. The only birds that come around that eat ourfish is the herons lol
-
the cormorants and coots stay here.all year
-
Awe Lisa, I'm so gealous! I saw a Northern Flicker this morning but it flew off before I could get my camera. It's the first time I've seen one, I had to get my bird book to figure outwhat it was 😳
-
My buddy.
-
he likes my pool
-
-
wow Lori, that is beautiful
-
Lori awesome pix. Where did you take it?
Scottie
-
Thank you, a friend of mine took it while on vacation in Hawaii. My DH and I didn't make it to that part of the island while we were there. I forgot I had Hawaii picks. I'll post more of mine :-)
-
I took this of the Korean Memorial
-
Your picture gave me goosebumps Lisa, nice shot 😀
-
Hi gals.
Love all the pics. Balboa shots are gorgeous. Lori, love the heron and the sunset. Scottie, looking forward to more pics from your hiking trip.
I have been practicing my hummingbird shots with different cameras and lens. Got some interesting duos in mid air. Will have to post when I am back home. I am returning to my home after three weeks with my mom. I got a video clip tonight of her playing the piano. Even with dementia and being 90 years old she can still play. This may be the last video I get of her so I am glad to get it before leaving.
Hope you all had a good Memorial Day.

This little critter hitched a ride on the freeway on the way home today.

Very handsome dragonfly!
-
Very cool!
-
Here is the first place I head to when flower shopping. Thought you might enjoy these.
-
Wow! Very pretty bandwoman! I love it
-
Thanks Joanne and Lori. This place is fabulous. I have spent a small fortune there over the last many years. They specialize in hanging baskets and some of them are so huge you just wouldn't believe it. I am afraid some of them would pull my house down. LOL
-
Luv the Cinderella carriage. I'm currently sulking after having half of my 5-6 foot tall rose garden ravaged by beavers. Had to cut down the remnants and praying they grow back.
Scottie
-
Oh no Scottie, so it was beavers? Bummer. I'm praying they all come back!
-
Scottie, I sure hope your roses grow back. I had what I think was a deer eat all my roses off quite a few years ago. I have knockout rose bushes and for a couple of years in a row the winter did such a number on them I thought they were all dead but new growth came up and they survived. I had one that I gave up on this year but I am noticing new growth so I may give it some time. Hopefully your will come back too. I have no idea how to deal with beavers. Good luck with that.

Lisa, when are you going to have your surgeries?
-
Hi there, I had my surgery on Monday. I think they added quite a bit more metal..Arm is sore, but I am quietly hopeful they pinned down the rod so it won't torque.I see the surgeon a week from Monday to find out what is what.
In the meantime, I did get my camera out and worked it with one hand'
on board the USS Midway Flag Day ceremony yesterday
-
Lisa, I wondered if you had your surgery since you hadn't posted any pics for a while. Hope everything heals nicely. I know you had mentioned two surgeries so do you expect another one after this one. Your pics are great and to think you can do that with one hand is pretty amazing. I hope your discomfort will soon pass.

Why do their uniform suits have buttons that can't "do up"? Glad you've gotten one surgery under your belt, Lisa.
-
Lisa wishing you a speedy and complete review recovery from this surgery.

Saw all these this morning on my walk..
